Hey all, this is my first question (among probably many) that I'll be asking on this site! Ok now that that's over with, where are some fun places to take your date on? I just started dating (this is my first time ever) (I'm 19) (and she's 17) and already going to the movies is kinda boring. I mean, the whole point of being on a date is to be with the person that you like, and spending an hour or two (or three) staring at a silver screen and *not* talking to the other person seems kinda... strange. We do talk, mainly to make fun of the movie we're watching, but still, where could we go where the activity actually encourages us to talk or play while we're there? thxxx, and i heart all of you :) (link)
wow, i think that it's really cool that you are asking this. most guys don't really put very much thought into where they go and what they do. It would hlep if i knew where you lived but its okay. If she's really into just having fun and some laughs, ice skating is always a good option. buy her some hot chocolate. but don't stay too long, it can get kind of boring after a while. then you can mabey go back to your place and watch a movie, while getting warm under the covers. i know its still a movie, but its a lot different that a theater, and its caual but at the same time it can be very romantic! good luck! i have many other ideas if this one just doeasn't fit, so ask me if you need more ideas!

Quick recap-in love with a best friend of 5 years and want ot go farther than just friends. i have been very forward and recently i confirmed his suspicion that i like him (didn't say love-don't want to freak him out). after that, he started avoiding me. other friends have talked to him and say he likes me, but he doesn't act it. I am not shy at all so asking him out isn't a problem, but i don't want to if he is thourghly not interested. if i can't be his girlfriend, i want to at least be his friend again. what should i do? we are both 15. (link)
wow, you'er just like me! i'm 15 too. I've been in the exact same situation before. what you need to do is talk to him in private. tell him exactly how you feel. tell him that his friends tell you that he likes you, but that you feel that he doesn't show it. Ask him how he feels because you would rather hear it from him and not from his friends. Also tell him that no matter what he says you'll be okay (this helps prevent him from sugar coating things because in the long run that will just make things worse). Just be completely honest with him, and alow him to be completely honest with you. Trust me, you'll feel so much better, no matter what he says because you'll know exactly how he feels, instead of just guessing and wondering. good luck i hope i helped! And remember, if he's truly a good friend, he'll do what he can to make you happy, even if he can't like you back the way you like him.

I have liked this guy for a while and we have become pretty good friends...but only over the internet. we go to the same school and we know what the other looks like and we even say hi to each other sometimes. its really odd because i feel that i know him so well online but at school he's a total stranger. he hangs out with a weird group of guys and i noticed that all his previously girl friends r sluts, blond, and skinny (no offense to skinny blondes). i am a brunette and im definately not a barbie doll. i wouldnt consider myself ugly tho. i think that if he hung around with a different crowd he might like me. i noticed that he wont talk to me if hes with his friends. i think hes a really great guy with the wrong group of friends. i want to tell him me and him should hang out more in person, but i know his friends are going to say no to that. theres absoulutly nothing wrong with me. what do i do? sorry this is so long. i rate really great!

I don't think its fair to ask him to change his friends just for you, as much as you may want to. You should try to hang out with him some, but just you and him (don't invite your friends, and make it clear to him that he should do the same.) If he gets to know you better in person, and likes you even more, mabey he'll forget about what his friends think. Its worth a try! plus...if he still doesn't want to pursure a relationship with you, than he's not worth your time, you don't want a guy who's so caught up in what other people think. stick to guys who aren't afraid to be themselves!
Good luck!

i have been seeing someone on /off for the last ten years . recently moved out because the depts are way to much for me, i know he cheats on me so why do i feel like i cant move on??? (link)
Spend at least a week or so away from him. go on a trip with some of your girlfriends, and take your mind off of him. spend time at clubs, parties, beaches, surround yourself with friends, and try to hang out where lots of avaliable guys would. If a guy flirts with you, feel free to flirt back, try to consider yourself single, and not connected this guy of ten yrs. just see how you like it. it will help you move on and realize that you can do so much better. good luck

Do braces affect making out in any way? (link)

One of my ex's moved back and he is trying to pry me away from my boyfriend. He is also always teasing me for the worst things and he won't stop. I can't stand him!!! He is awful. So how am I suppose to deal with this jerk?? Please help!! (link)
you need to set up a time when u and your ex can be alone and talk. you need to tell him very seriously that you have a boyfriend now, that you like very much, and you have absolutely no intention of breaking up with him. Tell him that you no longer have feelings for him and that he needs to stay away from you. If he refuses to listen tell your boyfriend and have him talk to your ex.
