My name is Catherine, I'll be 15 soon. I have been a member of this site for about 2 and a half years. I love giving advice, and love helping people. My answers are honest, and I try my best not to give harsh answers. I know other columnists can be rude sometimes, I'm not like that. My friends are my life, and I do everything I can to help them when they ask for my advice or help. I'm not close to my mom or dad. 13/f...i'm in love with my best friend. it's tearing me apart. my ex-bestfriend recently broke up with her boyfriend, and everyone thinks the best friend i love is going to go out with her again, because theyy've recently been talking a lot and went out earlier this year for awhile. he makes me confused, and sends me mixed signels. but i really, really like him. what do i do?
To be honest, at your age chances are you don't know what love is.
If you're getting mixed signals, clear them up and confront the guy about it and ask. There's no harm if he says he doesn't like you because life does go on and there are plenty of fish in the sea. And if he says he likes you, then that's a good thing on your part but you shouldn't go out until the whole "ex-bestfriend recently breaking up with her boyfriend" situation blows over.
would you consider slow dancing with another girl cheating?
Of course not. It's only a dance. But if your girlfriend seriously considers that cheating let her know it means nothing, and the girl will never mean as much to you as she does. Cheating is:Making out, messing around, feeling up, having sex with, or going out on a date with the girl.

When he said that he used to like you too, he probably thought it was a little awkward and then said just kidding. I know I would have done that with a guy. And he might have felt a little embarassed because thats usually how guys feel when they admit to likeing someone. At the right time you should ask him about it and find out if he was serious or just kidding.
i'm usually really shy around guys and im going into my first year of high school.how can i start conversations with guys. I dont know what to say or talk about. how do i strike up a conversation. how do i know if they will want to talk back? i really could use some tips. please help
You could start out with meeting guys that you like, but would never go out with. It's always good to have guy friends to give you advice about meeting guys. trust me, having guy friends can be more useful than having girlfriends. good luck(-:
i like this guy who likes me as well but the problem is........ im going to high school and he's staying in middle school. he might ask me out and i don't know if i should say yes, or just stay single for summer and find someone even better in high school. help please
I think you should say no because between schools, you'd probably never have time to see eachother. I have to brothers in high school and i barely get to see them.(im in middlr school). Trust me, with all this homework and studying you wont have time for a boyfriend unless he's in highschool. Good Luck!

you could always try to see if theres anything u could do to help him. hang out w/ him more...be funnier and let him know that u care.
Okay, Well there is this guy let's bane him Billy I went out witih him 3 times already. And He has a girlfriend let's name her Mary. Well I hung out with Billy and I am best friends with him, he is also my ex-boyfriend of numerous times (3 or 4) We started to hangout out of school agian. I never truely got over him. Well He recently told me, that he is starting to have feelings for me agian. And He is going to break up with his girlfriend. I feel really bad But I love him. What should I do? Should I go with him? Should we tell her?
dont be selfish . if you know hell be better off with her leave them alone. but if you think hes better of with u than ask him out again.

My mind wonders during school. Mostly about my current bf and how I want to like talk to him or w/e. I used to be an A student now I'm a C student. It's not like I can avoid guys completley. What should I do about?

omg i was so surprised when my bf said it was okay that i wanna take it slow and we can go at my pace..but i dont have a pace..so wut exactly is to slow to go with a guy without them getting annoyed or thinking ur not ready for the relationship or ur too immature?
if he thinks that you guys are ready, and your not, tell him that its not worth taking a risk. if your not ready and he is have a talk. but if he WANTS u to be ready THEN you should leave him.

ok i went to this dance with my guy friend. first off when we were dancing he started grinding wiht me and then with slow dancing we were dancing really my face was right against his. also when we were grinding there was a point where he kind of backed off. why was that do you think?? and do you think he likes me?? Should i tell him i like him??
if you really think he likes you. If you never ask then you will regret it later on because you found out that he really likes you and wants to ask you out. I wouls ask him when i have the chance. but if he really thinks you are hot than go for it

alright my friend is yelling at me to ask this..
well she thinks that this kid on my bus that i like likes me, because he said he never smiles on the bus and i got him to smile 6 times, well, i know this is stupid but she wants to know if you think he likes me.
it doesnt matter really what ur friend thinx. if you like him and you know he likes you back then you should go for it .if only you made him smile that means that he likes you and feels that only you make him feel something that no one else does

hey my boyfriend is graduating this thursday and his party is in a week...any ideas on what to get him?
get him something expensive(to show you care),something he is interested in(to show you knowhim well), or something that shows you want to be there for him always.
I reallllllllly like this guy.. and he and I went out before.. and yeah we hooked up in eveyrthing.. but i regret it tootally!!!! and thenw e broke up after about a week :( and then he and I kept talkign and stuff and were realllly tight.. but now we like never talk.. and he acts as if he hates me or something.. but deep inside of ME I really want him back!! is there anything I can do to make him want me again?
if you want him back you should just make yourself improve a little bit a nd dont show him that you are trying. when he sees that you would go out of your way to get him back , then he will think you're totally worth it
Kay... well there is this guy and he and I started talking about 3 weeks ago at a track meet and now we flirt a bunch at the track meets.. he is in some of my classes and like yeah I always catch him looking at me and then he always like brags about how good he is at trfack and how much i suck in a JOKEING way... but Iono if he lieks me or what.. and I am really confused plese HELP!
if u think he lieks u then go for it . Remember life is a journey, not a destination. Liking someone is part of that journey
