I think it\'s appropriate for any couple who wish they could be engaged, and cannot, for whatever reason, be it age, financial issues, or anything else. It\'s a symbol that says \"someday, this will be replaced with the real thing,\" and is a reminder of the couple\'s love.

You didn't give us any information as to why you are questioning if your boyfriend loves you or not. Also, we cannot tell you if your boyfriend loves you .. nobody can tell you if your boyfriend loves/cares for you except for you and your boyfriend.

I love my boyfriend more than anymore. I still live with my parents and he lives with his mother and neither of us can drive. Lately, due to money problems, I'm not able to see him much anymore, cause we can barely afford the bills and groceries. Since I can't afford to even go see him anymore, am I being selfish by staying in the relationship? I'm 21 and female.
No I do not believe you are being selfish. If you love your boyfriend as much as you say you do & he loves you then you guys will be able to work through this. Not being able to see each other sucks. It's hard. It's lonely. It's upsetting. It sucks. But you can call each other, text each other, skype each other, facetime each other & you'll be able to get through it. As long as you are able to communicate with each other and you don't get angry/upset for not being able to see each other as much as you like, you will be able to do this.
Maybe you can't go see him, but can he come see you? If he can then great! If he can't then do what I said before.
Like I said, not seeing each other sucks but you will be able to get through it.
My boyfriend and I live about an hour and 30 minutes away from each other. (Which isn't that bad at all) and we can't see each other as much as we would like but we work it out by calling/texting each other and working it out. It's hard but it's totally doable. I wouldn't call either of us selfish for staying in the relationship even though we can't see each other as much as we would like.

Ok,I know what your thinking you just tell him how you feel, but it doesn't work. I have told him like ten times that I don't feel the same way but he keeps insisting and bugging me trying to win me over. He is a real jerk and a big player. While he has been trying to get me to go out with him over the past four months he has had fourteen other girl friends including one of my best friends!! how do I get him to leave me alone?!?!?!
I realize that you said you told him how you feel but maybe you should tell him again and be straight up with him. "Look I don't feel the same way about you. I would appreciate it if you would stop asking me to go out with you. You keep asking me and I always say no and it's really starting to get annoying. I don't want to go out with you."
If that doesn't work then you're just going to have to ignore him. You said what you needed to say. He will eventually get the hint and stop trying.
