advice
Im doing the talent show at my school. I already signed up so i cant not do it. I wanna sing, but i dont know what song to sing... does anyone have any good ideas for songs?
I sound sorta like Kelly Clarkson, Martina McBride, Leann Rimes, SheDaisy, Play, Shania Twain...
-*%Nat%*-
I sang "Honey I'm home" by Shania Twain! It was a really good song! It gets the crowds really involved. "Low" by Kelly Clarkson is really good too. Um....also Concrete Angel by Martina McBride is a really good song, it has a really good meaning. Big Deal by Leann Rimes is a fun song! Its really easy to get into and express!
Make sure you get a kareoke cd. (if thats how you spell it haha) Don't sing with the actual person. Best buy, wal-mart, and any local music store probubly has really good kareoke cd's! i get mine from best buy!
Good luck!

i no this might sound a little crazy but...when your home alone...go up to your room...and lipsync to your favorite song in the mirror and dance it out! keep doing it! Then once you get a little more comfortable sing along instead of lipsync...once you start thinking that your good...sing for your parents or friends!! That will help you! perform as much as you can!
thats what i do!! lol hope i helped!

hi,
one of my dreams has been to become a singer but my parents say that if i dont sing in like a talent show at my school then they wont sign me up for anything.. the talent show passed and i didnt try out because i had something else planned for the date that they made the talent show.. ok so ALL my friends tell me that im an amazing singer and stuff ( i dont want to sound concided ) but i dont think im terrible ! any ways.. how can i get my parents to let me go to auditions and signups and stuff.. what can i do to follow this dream ? .. thanks in advance- i rate! :-)
love, singingmyheartout
[ sorry about the length ]
ok...you have to show thme your committed! Practice at least an hour a day (when both your parents are around) and sing to the best of your abliliy! Then theyll see that you have potential. When an audition comes around, say mom, ive been working really hard and i would really like to do this. Then sing for them! ...i wanted an agent really bad becuase i love to sing and write songs. I wanted to get my songs out there. I had to show my parents that im really commited, so i got on the internet ...and now i go to a fine art school! That was proof to them that i was serious. ( ( but u don't have to go to that extreme ) ) I'm in the process of making my demo...and my dreams are coming true. It's all about commitment! Oh! do whatever your parents tell you to do, and make sure your grades are good so they have no reason to say no! Please let me no what happens! ( ( if you talk to me directly I could give you some information on how to get and agent and stuff! or nation wide auditions!! ))my screen name is aria luvs u 333!!!
hope i helped!

I love singing cuz I look up to Alicia Keys I take up piano and I love to sing but my brother and sister make fun of me.Whenever I plan on writing songs I need the right sound but my sister won't let me use the keyboard. She yells at me no it's in my room not yours do you apprehend or is that to big a word for you and so I have to tell her something in big words so she'll shut up for a few minutes.I go to my room and second guess my talent.I wonder when I was in the 4th grade was I only in the All city chorus cuz the other people sucked? If I want to live my dream what should I do while juggling myschool, love, home, and musical life at once? I have too much pressure what do I do?
I myself go to a fine arts school. I love writing songs! At first, I had a lot of people working against me, but if you are serious about your talent, then do everything you can to acheive your dream! I have written 10 songs and I am in the process of making a demo. Work hard, if you really love it. Have you ever thought that your sister might be jelous of you? Maybe she wished she could write songs like you. I would check in you school choir room and talk to the choir teacher and tell her your passion for music and explain the situation with your sister and then ask if you can come in early a few days or stay after school and use the piano!
This coming sunday (The 19th) I'm supposed to sing a duet. The person I'm singing with isn't comfortable singing though her voice is reasonable. She feels immbarrised to stand up and sing in sacrament so we talked with the person that asked us and sister Naylor is going to have her daughter who as a matter of fact, a beautiful singer. I personaly don't want to have Lori sing with us because we will be zoned out for one, Anna and I are not the best singers. The most we can do is stay on pitch and I honestly have never sung in front of anyone because...Well I really don't have that beautiful singing voice that some have. And Two she hasn't practiced with us. (We have to sing with a Harp) So my question to all of you is what do I do? Should I just keep my mouth quiet and just sing with Lori and Anna and not say anything, Or should I share my oppinion with sis. Naylor? I would rather be heard without Lori taking control.
Just try to give me some good advice please.

ok....hey AG..im guessing since you used "sister" and "sacrament" your mormon. That's awesome! I for one love to sing! an i sing all the time at church. You have to remeber that your singing...not for yourself...but for everyone else...you have picked a song to sing that you believe brings the spirit, so that everyone can be touched by the song. If u feel that this girl Lori, is somehow wanting the attention to be on her, rather than the saviour than you should nicely tell her " We have had this planned for a long time and i think it would be better if just the two of us sing with the harp, but i would love to sing with you some other time." that way she won't be offended, and you will still be able to sing as planned. Good luck! I'll keep you in my prayers! What ward are you in? I'd love to come here you! I hope I helped!
