Q: I really want to learn how to play an instrument. I use to play the piano but I stopped and forgot everything. I made that mistake and I want to play an instrument again. I'm in 8th grade and 13 years old. What kind of instrument would be good for me? Can you give me some idea's? And what kind of instrument you play and enjoy? Thanks a lot.

I would definitely pick the piano back up. (Not literally. :-)) The piano can help you play any instrument though. It's like the basis for all. I enrolled in a music theory class this year, finally, and the piano really helps you with pitches, ear training, scales, EVERYTHING. And really piano players are really hard to come by these days, it seems to be a dying instrument.

I play guitar when I find time here and there, really though, stringed instruments are not for everyone. Find the right instrument for you, because it sounds like you really are interested in music and want to play something. So have fun, experiment. Try a mandolin or a bass, perhaps a trumpet?

Q: yyeah okay i have to write a paragraph on my favorite music group and im doing fall out boy. but i need 3 reasons why other people should like them too and like i can't think of any. well i have like they're like unique like they're just them and like they have really good music and i needa support each one! please help and dont just be like do your own work. i know i should be but i'm just having trouble

I'm not going to knock on Fall Out Boy but uhhh...unique? Wow. Um, I could find you about a million unsigned bands that sound just like them. But they're on MTV now, I underdtand that that makes them cool now. Being since this IS for school. You can bullshit it slightly, such as...
-"I can really relate to their lyrics..." (I suggest using a few direct quotes.)

-"Very catchy tunes..."

-Ehhh...and I cannot think of a third one. Being since your teacher will not know any better, go with the "unique" idea. Say they sound like nothing you have ever heard before. (:-D hahaha)

Supporting details for these reasons are kinda self explanatory. Or at least I hope they are...

Q: ok...on Noggin (aka The-N) there's the show called Instant Star. I really like the music and was wondering if there was a soundtrack or if Alexz Johnson had a CD or if anyone knew of a site where i can get the lyrics to the songs thank you!

Depends though, I mean look at some of the answers you have recieved. The All American Rejects? I will jump off a cliff the day they are considered "punk." I mean, don't get me wrong, I like the All American Rejects, and Tyson Ritter is one of the most gorgeous guys I have ever laid eyes on. But do you see where I am going with this distortion of genre thing?

It's kinda like the whole "emo" thing. The genre "emo" got blown out of the fucking water. Now it's like, "OMG that guy is singing about being in pain, or cutting his wrists, this must be emo." I don't even know how I switched subjects that quickly, I apologize. I could speil forever.

To get back to my main point...it depends on what kind of punk you are looking for. Are you just looking for lesser known punk bands?

Q: For a school dance I'm the music person...one problem I dont know what to play. Its a highschool dance for like the winter and stuff and one of the songs they asked me to get goes like "and in the end its right I hope you had the time of your life." but I dont know who sings it...ahhh what do i do...please help!

Q: i have very thick lashes... but they are short... this sounds concited but i have very pretty brown eyes and i haven't found a mascara to make my lashes longer to give more attention to my eyes. any suggestions on a mascara or eye shadow to make my eyes look great?

I use Clinique's Naturally Glossy or High Impact.(Depending on the mood I'm in.)Both mascaras really help to lengthen my lashes.Just experiment with lots of different ones.
