Today at the 5th grade pizza party he stared at me dancing,I mean, I'm a good dancer because people were clapping for me and taking videos… but when I looked at him he looked away. He does a awful lot of staring and flashing smiles at me… but never actually interacts with me… every now and then we have a short conversation… I'm not the type to babble like an idiot when talking with a crush, and he seems a little shy about it… I'm not sure how to approach him, how? And do you think he likes me? (link)

There is definitely a possibility of him liking you. I mean when someone stares and smiles, it's a good sign. I mean you don't normally stare at someone unless you like them right?
So since he might be shy, you can go ahead and make the first move if you feel confident enough.
Do you guys talk? If not, then I'd suggest talking to him. Get to know him and maybe start subtly flirting with him and see how he reacts to it. It helps to make them feel more comfortable.
So I'd say start with flirting, see where that goes and try to see how he reacts. Eventually you guys can become close enough to hang out and if he agrees, he's most likely interested in you.
