Hello I'm in the 8th grade and last fall I was visiting my cousin who lives in another town from me and we were playing kickball at the park down the street from his house. There was a group of girls by the swings and the ball ended up hitting one in the head. She was really mad about it and said she would "kick our ass" if it happened again. She didn't get along as it is with my cousin so We laughed and started yelling back at her and threw the ball at her again. Then that's when she came at me and threw me down and was a full on fight which I ended up getting beat up pretty bad.
Thankfully Her friends and my cousin convinced her to stop after a few minutes even though she was mad and wanted to beat me more because her jeans got stained and wrecked from the fight. I felt so scared dejected, and worried on the way back
To my cousins house because I didn't want my dad to know what happen so we told him I crashed my bike into a tree.
Now this is my problem, the girl doesn't Know me.I'm on the school basketball team and we are playing the school were my cousin goes to, and I found out the girl is a cheerleader for that school! I'm worried and scared that when she sees me she is gonna tell everyone that she beat me up and all my teammates and especially worried my dad is gonna find out because he goes to all my games! I'm also afraid if I deny it she will want to fight me again after the game or something to prove it. Thats something I don't. Want to go through again, and what will people think if they know I'm afraid of a girl? I could always think of a reason to miss The game but we play them a couple more times as well? My dad would wonder why ever time we play them I come up with a reason to not play. My coaches too! Any advise would be great.

Well at least you have a lesson learned. You really shouldn't try to egg people on because you have no idea who they are, what they're capable of, ect. It was pretty immature of you guys to laugh and throw the ball back again. Of course, she shouldn't have beat you up even if you all deserved it.
So as for right now, you're just going to have to face up to it. It makes you more of a chicken to back out of games because a girl is going to be there. If she says something to you, or wants to fight again, just say you won't fight a girl or something like that.

Thanks for the advice. The only reason I threw the ball at her was because she threatened to beat us up after we hit her by accident the first time. You bet I learned a lesson! I made the mistake of not thinking she would be capable of beating me up but I found out the hard way. I'll never do that again no matter how unassuming someone may look.
