advice

Hello ,

So I just got a new job , and it's sort of like a server and waitress in a big hall , I was wondering , what are some tips to do to impress the people around you?

Thank you , Betty

Congrats on your new job! I've been a waitress for since I was 12 (working for family) so for 6 years.

You have to be VERY friendly. If you're having a bad day, you have to put your problems aside, make sure you have a smile on your face and continue working.

Ask the people how they are doing today. Joke around with them, it enhances the dining experience for your customers and everyone prefers a waitress who has a sense of humor and is vibrant as opposed to "dead" and boring.

Also, when you're smiling, being nice and friendly, you get tipped much better than if you just do your job.

I'm not sure what else you need to know, but message me if you need some more info :)
Good luck on your new job!!

ADDITIONAL:::
People get mad when they don't get what they want. Don't take it personally. you'll have the nice ones and the crazy ones. Just smile and be nice. If they give you an attitude after that, it's their personality, not your fault. If you have a blushing problem, I highly recommend wearing liquid foundation all over your face...it also helps keep your face from going red while you're running around getting dishes. So basically, if you get hot, it'll cover up the red face :)
