I understand that you have to get a pap smear before going on birth control. I read on the website below that if you haven't had sex before (and I haven't), then you do not need to have a pap smear done. I've never heard this before, can anyone tell me if it's true or how I can find out for sure?

most likely they will give you a pap smear because even though you havent had sex, you can still have cancer or an std, etc. its a routine check and if i were you i would get it done. it doesnt hurt at all.
