I'm going to be 16 in September. I'm having irregularty in my period but I thought after a couple of years it will become more regular. Last year it was pretty much on the dot but this summer it hasn't. I've had my period since I was almost 12.

On May 18 I got my period and it was my normal 30ish days between each period. However my recent one was only 24 days after on June 16. Now it's July 27...much longer than a month and I still haven't recieved it. Last week I've recieved some blood and I'm still getting it. Any suggestions?

It does take quite some time before your period eventually regulates itself. Mine took a few years too. And so far it isn't too badly off, so that's also not bad. If anything I'd say it's just a result of your body still changing and developing and your period just trying to regulate itself. I would only get really concerned if the periods become more erratic and unregulated. As of now they are still within a decent time span of each other. But if it becomes a major problem then maybe have a gynocologist check it out to see if there's a bigger problem at hand.

EDIT: A heavy period is completely normal. Everyone gets those from time to time. It always varies.

(Rating: 4) Hmm...makes sense. I'm wondering...I once had a really heavy period once...that's normal right? I normally don't have heavy periods.
