I really need to start taking my own advice.

how do i make a good first impression on my boyfriends family. hes met my parents. and my parents like him. so i want to make a good first impression on his. ideas?

Aw :) I love meeting the parents, lol.

First off, dress conservatively. You don't want to show up in a low-cut tank top or short shorts. Thats pretty obvious. But also watch out for things like ripped jeans. I've had some friends who had awkward run ins with their boyfriend's parents when they mention how tacky or trashy the pants looked.

Be polite and use your manners. Yes please, thank you, no thanks etc. If you live down south 'yes sir' and 'yes ma'am' are great too.

Be yourself. Don't act all fancy and perfect. In most cases, his parents are normal. Laugh when you feel like laughing, ask the parents questions about their lives etc. Just relax and enjoy a good casual conversation.

Don't be too touchy-feely with your boyfriend. Most of the time, people aren't like that around their boyfriend's parents ... but just in case you are, I'd advise you to keep it down for the evening.
