I love singing.. I sing for the choir..
sometimes i find that my throat dries out and its hard to sing...
what are some home made recipes to sooth my voice prior to singing???
lubricating the thoat so that i can sing melodiously??
Please help...
Do not drink milk before you sing. It thickens the mucus in your throat, as does chewing gum.
A Teaspoon of honey is good. Do not have anything too acidic, I don't think you want to burp during your performance. Drink plenty of water to keep you hydrated, and you should hum a lot to relax your vocal cords so they are not tight when you sing, which could cause your voice to be raspy and squeeky. Throat sprays work, even though they are for sore throats, my choir used to use it and it worked well.
