advice
How do you pop popcorn the way without just sticking a bag into the microwave?
I think you buy kernels (any recommendations for where I can get these and what brand?) then place them in a pan (what kind? how deep?) and some oil (again, what kind? and how much? or do I use butter? or is it magarine I put?) and cover it (how? the cover for the pan or aluminum foil) and cook them over a stove? How long do I wait? And if I wanted to add cheese, what stage do I do that? Thanks in advance!
Homemade Cheese Popcorn
* Coat a large pot with olive oil and place over medium-high heat. You want a pot that's big enough to boil pasta or a few ears of corn so the popcorn has plenty of room to pop.
* Once the oil is beginning to sizzle, pour in a cup of popcorn kernels.
* Cover the pot, and let the popping begin.
* Shake the pot from time to time while the corn is popping to keep the bottom layer from scorching.
* When you start hearing only one pop every 10 seconds or so, turn the heat off. Let the last few kernels pop before removing the lid.
* Drizzle the popcorn with olive oil and sprinkle with sea salt, black pepper, and freshly grated Parmesan or Romano cheese to taste.
This recipe is great too!
I love the taste of it!
