I really need to start taking my own advice.
advice
im tired of being at home. its so boring and its summer break! my mom wont let me out of the house if i decide i want to go with my friends she will only let me go oncew or twice a week the rest i stay here at home bored to death. my cable doesnt work so i cant watch tv. i get so mad because she barely lets me go out. i tell her to please let me go out because its summer break and she says no that i cant be out so muhc. but im 15 turning 16 in a few days!! im not a baby and i keep telling her that. ugh what should i do? comments? advcie? anything is helpful, thanks!
I've found out when talking to parents, it helps so much to act mature. Don't get all whiney and say things like "I hate you, its not fair!" If you aren't a baby anymore, don't act like one. Just a heads up to help you out some.
Sit her down, ask her: "Mom, I'm almost 16. Why am I not allowed to have some fun with my friends during summer? I spend all school year working hard, I think I deserve some fun during my break."
If she says no still, ask her why. If her response is "Because I said so." Tell her you are trying to have a mature conversation with her about your life and an answer like that isn't helping.
You could even try to make a trade like if she lets you go out more you'll take on more house hold chores. That usually works with my mom.
If then she STILL says no, you can either go to your dad (if he's availible) or try some new things around the house. Paint your nails, redecorate your room, take up a new hobby etc.
Good Luck
