Well street smarts is like being aware of you're surroundings. People who live on the streets tend to be a little more street smart than others because they hav to be aware of their surroundings more even when they sleep. However it is necessary even if u don't live on the street because people can screw you left and right pardon my language. But I know it, however it is something you are either born with or a skill you aquire. Unfotunatley tou cannot teach yourself to be street smart. Its just a matter of being aware of you're surroundings and learning how to defend yourself and the right way to do it too. I started this column when I was 15 years old, so you'll notice that the advice has gotten better and better. I've always been interested in counseling and I started this column to gain experience. But, I found a lot more than that. I found a support system of caring and loving people. I received a degree in child development and currently working towards becoming a school psychologist. I look back on my own questions from years ago, and I laugh when I read about my problems at 16. I've really come a long way!
