I really need to start taking my own advice.
advice
I'm going snowboarding/skiing next weekend for the first time, and i was wondering if anyone had any tips to help me be more prepared. Like, what should i wear? my main concern is pants. I don't really have any that i think would be good for snowboarding. Jeans don't really seem like a good idea. any suggestions? I'd like to avoid buying a lot of stuff, but if its neccessary, thats okay. i'm only going for 2 days, so it shouldn't be too big a deal. I just want to focus more on having fun than freezing to death. thanks!
Hey there :)
Layering is deffinitley the key
when going snowboarding, trust me.
It helps a ton.
For your top:
Wear a tank top.
Long sleeve shirt. (or shirts)
A t-shirt either over or underneath
the long sleeve shirts.
Light weight jacket (optional)
Hoodie and a ski jacket.
For your pants:
I really really really don't recommend
jeans, I've done that before and I was
miserably wet and cold. I'd buy a pair
of waterproof snow pants if at all possible
they'll totally be worth it. You'll be
so much warmer.
Wear long johns.
Leggings.
Pajama/sweat pants.
Jeans.
Ski pants over them.
Be sure to wear gloves and several
pairs of socks!
Good Luck
