advice

Next year I will be a senior and I want to try out for the football team. I only want to kick the ball. The only problem is I'm a female that stands at 5'3 120 pounds. I know of many female kickers in college as well as highschool so the coaches can't so much discriminate. I want to become the best kicker in the school. Can someone please give me some tips. I got a whole year to get ready. So please give me all you can. THanks

All I can say, is that is the most awesomest thing ever. Not many girls are able to have a chance to do anything on a mostly guys sport. But, anyways, Practice, practice practice. Get a football, and do leg stretches, like, extending your leg for the postion that yor foot should touch the ball. Work on your calve muscles. And do tons of kicks, try getting it higher and higher each time you practice. It shouldnt take that long for you to get ready. Just let the coach know what you want to do on the team. Hope I helped. And good luck!
