advice

My 17 year old is 5'6" and weighs over 200 lbs.
She also has a very large bust and upper body--such as abdominal fat. I have tried everything to get her to diet & exercise, and our house is full of nutritional food. She has been to the Dr for this also, but chooses not to take an active roll in her health.

She says she is happy the way she is. She buys expensive clothes, but they do not fit right. For example today she had a sports bra on and she was litterly hanging out--and it was more noticable because she was wearing a skin tight t-shirt. She also wears low wasted pants, and either her crack is showing or she is walking around hanging on to her pants.

I have tried to take her shopping, I have bought her clothes, I have showed her pictures of plus size models, but she refuses to have any part of it. I have never intended to hurt her feelings, but the bottom line is I hate to have people gawking and making fun of her. She says "I don't care what they think, why do you?" I have tried to tell her she will get along in the working world better if she dresses to suit her body style, but of course she doesn't listen.

Any suggestions on how to help her either lose weight or dress better?

hey, ask her doctor to explain to her the heath risks of being 200 pounds at such a young age. also let her waer the stle clothes that she wants but just get bigger sizes for her. also if she has any friends that are the same size at her, maybe ask them or there parents for tips.

(Rating: 4) Thanks for answering. She knows the risks and won't wear bigger sizes.
