so i couple of days ago me and my boyfriend had sex..and the day after i started feeling like i had to pee all the time and its still continuing. and it burns. could this be a bladder infection or something else? if so how can i get rid of it???

thanks ill rate all 5's

Let me combine all these answers into one coherent answer for you.

When you have sex, you should always attempt to pee afterward. You can get UTI or Bladder infections from sex. It stirs up germs and baccteria and such. If it gets into the urinary tract (which is sterile) it can cause all sorts of hurt. I have had two int he past year. One severe bladder infection and one minor UTI because I didn't pee after sex.

You can get them other ways, but sex is one of them. So don't listen to those who have said they are unrelated.

Drink cranberry juice and lots of water. Yes, it will make you have to pee, but it helps calm the pain some. There are over the counter meds you can buy, at Walgreens or Wal-whatever there is a product called uristat and AZO. Those both can help. Get to a doctor in the meantime, and get on some anti-biotics. That is really the only thing that will make it go away completely.

And try to remember to pee afterward. I always do reguardless and I haven't had one since.
