What is 666? I know it has something to do with the devil.. I'm an atheist, so I don't know what it is and why the heck everyone is so worked up. Can someone please explain this to me?

666 is the devil's number. I myself don't believe it has any real significance, although some super-religious people are worried about it since that is the number of the devil. Watch the movie: The Omen for more info. In that movie the son of the devil is born with a birthmark with three 6's.
