about

I'm a strong supporter of the US Army and other branches of the Armed Forces.
I love animals, and I have two Siberian Huskies- named Hailey and Cupid; and an African Dwarf Frog called Aqua. As I said before, I especially love politics, and will never cease to voice my opinion about something. I believe is is very important for people (especially young people) to be involved in the world around them. They need to get out, get active, and have a strong, fact-based point of view on things.
I collect icons. -random-
I've been told numerous times I'm insane, and I really ought to seek professional help. I have a deep, irreversable fear of: The color pink, sharks, and being abducted by aliens only to fall out of their spaceship and be sucked into a black hole (don't ask)...
The world is my playground, and life is the practice run. ^-^
advice
I am thirteen years old and I have two dogs and two cats. As much as I love my dogs right now, they are very old and they cant run or play or anything. Ive always wanted a small dog of my own but my parents say I cant have one. Should I keep on trying to get them to let me have a dog or should I lay off?
I think it would be best it you didn't bring it up until a later time. From experience as an owner of two dogs, older dogs don't adapt to another (especially younger) dog as well. The younger dog will get the bulk of the attention- you will want to play with, cuddle, and spend a lot more time with the active, younger dog than the older ones. Your best bet is to just love the dogs you have now (you can help get them more active by taking them on walks to help rebuild the stamina and speed they had in their youth- it won't be the same, but it's better than nothing), and after they die, give yourself a time for mourning before you think about another pet. Any major decesions you make in the family WILL effect your pets, because your pets ARE family. You have to make sure that what you and your parents choose could have very real effects on all your pets, too.
