ok last night i accedently broke my top retainer.. and its one of those clear plastic ones. I split on the side, not all the way but its definatly noticable.. and im not sure if it would mess up me teeth. But what should it do? if they have to give me another one that would be like 100$ and im not sure if ill be in trouble or what. please help!! what should i do??
Well, if you really didn't want to say anything you could use some scotch tape. However, it may not hold for long because it will be in your mouth and there tends to be spit in your mouth and that will reduce the stickiness of the tape. Now your best bet is go to your mom and say...
"Mom, last night I broke my retainer. Is there anything we can do?" Most likely she is not going to fly off the handle and beat your like your not hers (which my mom used to do, but then she realized I was hers and then she just cried) she will probably just have to take you back to the orthodontist and get you fitted with a new one. Much better if than walking around with scotch tape in your mouth. You'll be fine.
