Hi everyone... I've got a Psychology degree so I like to think that i know a bit about how people think and why they do the things they do- maybe i don't know a thing, make up your own minds! Also i work with a youth group of girls aged 10-14 so that helps too! Anyway ask me anything no problem too big or too small and I'll do my best...

Omg, can anyone help me? It's almost 3 in the morning where I'm at, and my gum's hurting really bad. It's in the back, where I used to have wisdom teeth. I got them taken out way back in Oct. and haven't had a problem since. It's not my tooth, it's my gum, but I don't know. I don't think it's gingivitis, because it's not red at all. I checked for anything there, like food, but found nothing. So far, I've tried brushing my teeth and using rinse, but that didn't help. I took some painkillers about a half hour ago, but it hasn't helped much either. Does anyone know what this could be? And what can I do to stop the pain? Thanks so much, I'll rate.

Toothache sucks i had it all last week until i went to the dentist! That really is the best thing to do - ask for an emergency appointment and they'll sort you out right away probably with some antibiotics. In the mean time i found that rinsing my mouth out with salt water helps any infection (if you have one) from getting worse. To prevent the pain if you're already taking pain killers continue, and try either holding a hot water bottle next to it or a pack of ice to numb it- it worked a treat for me! Hope you feel better
