ok here it goes, sorry if its a little long. but i really need your help.
ok my friend well she went out with this guy, and she used to be like a good friend of mine, she used to say that like we are best friends and all, but really she was never my best friend.
so now her boyfriend broke up with her, but she sill loves him, and she said that she cant get over him, and that hes the only guy she can ever go back out with. now that guy told me that he likes me, i mean i dont know for sure but it really sound like it, cuz ok he told me he likes me and he always tells me " i love you" and i went to the movies, and he was there and he asked me to sit by him and he putted his arm around me and he kept telling me that he loves me and sutff like that, and he was askin me if i love him! he kissed me on the cheek. so than i called him like 2 days later, and he asked me who i liked and i kept asking him who he likes and he didnt want to answer until i did, so i didnt asnwer so by the end he asnwered and said that he likes me, and i said that i like him, and i think he was serious about it, because i told him to be serious. and i said well what do you want do about it? and he said if i asked you out would you back off on me for your friend? the girl he went out with! and i said i dont know. and i was like so wat do you want to do? and he said he has to think about it. now my other friends keep telling me that i like him, and they cant know that because i dont want my friend to know that i like her ex. and now she asked me if i liked him and i said "no" cuz she still likes him a lot! but i do, and i dont know does he like me to? and what should i do? its really annoying this whole thing.

it sounds like he really does like you... but the only way to find out for sure is to go out with him... first things first.. no matter how hard it is... you need to talk to your friend... explain to her that he isn't "the one" since he doesn't share the same feelings for her... tell her there will be a better guy for her and make her feel good about herself... tell her she's a great person and deserves better... then if your having a lot of confidence ... tell her you have feelings for him... cauz... if you start going out wit him... she'll find out.. and its better she hears it from you then someone else... its ok if she starts hating you... cauz you should be able to make yourself happy and worry about yourself once in a while... if you really think things could work out with this guy and your willing to risk a friendship then i say... go out with him.. your friend will get over him in time... and since you said she's not REALLY your best friend... then its worth risking a friendship for a guy you love,,, hope i helped =] don't worry... things will work out the way they are meant to
