hi im 13/f and my mom still wont let me babysit. its rlly embarrasing bc i am 13 but she thinks im not "matture" enough. i feel like im being treated like a baby. how do i get her to let me start babysitting so tht i dont hav to hav a babysitter? thanx ~steph~
I'm 13 too..yah it sucks when they do that. But anyway, just when your mom's cooking, cleaning, etc. ask if you can help her with anything. Even when she's NOT cleaning, you could just vacuum or clean stuff. If she sees you and asks you why you are doing that, just say something like, "You don't have to do everything around the house. I'd like to help." She might then realize that you ARE mature enough to babysit. Also, if you have younger brothers or sisters, clean up a little after them, and spend time with them to show you really are mature enough. Good luck..hope you get to babysit!
