I was asked out to lunch with a guy that I'm just friends with (but have suspected that he has deeper feelings for me).
After we ordered he started to ask me all sorts of questions, like where was I going to find the guy of my dreams, and that prince charming wasnt going to knock on my door. Then he told me that he was worried that if I wasnt in a relationship by 5 years time ( I am 27 ) that I wouldnt be very happy.
The whole time the conversation took place he looking at me romantically, and after I finished eating, I applied a fresh coat of lipstick and he couldnt keep his eyes off me.
When we left it was pouring rain and he took his umbrella and covered me even though he was soaked, and walked REALLY close to me.
He has always been shy and would never say he wanted to be more then friends upfront. Do you think this was his way of telling me he wants to be my boyfriend? (link)
|
OMG!!! If that isn't a green light sign that he likes you I don't know what is!!
Especially if he is shy, it was probably a way of asking you without doing it directly as he is probably scared of rejection!
I would invite him out to lunch and try and broach the subject again, if you like him, (and I have a funny feeling you do!!) and see how it goes!!
Good luck!!

What are some good ways to keep a cat from scratching you??? I REALLY NEED TO KNOW! it's on a test tomorrow...! Thanks (link)
|
Hi There,
My Godson officially owns the Psycho-Cat-From-Hell!
IT loves him and his Mom but it hates me! (I have dogs and I guess I must smell of them when I go round)
The only way I can get it to keep from scratching and clawing me is to rub orange oil on me (they hate the smell of it) and I have a little spray botle with water in that I spray it with to keep it back!! (Please note - I am NOT soaking it, it is a fine mist!!!)
This works, failing that like everyone said have it de-clawed, although I wouldn't do that to an outside cat as it will not be able to defend itself againt other cats.

So it's come to the point where I'm tired of shaving my legs every 2 or 3 days. I know that waxing in high on the pain scale but I was wondering if there were any good at home waxing kits. Or hair removal. I've never tried Nair before and I'm not excatly sure how well the resualts are.
Also.. read no further if you have problems about your kitty being hairless.
I want to know if there are any waxing kits or hair removal that will also work good in that area without really irratating the skin or anything.
Thanks all, I'll rate 5's. (link)

Hi there,
There is this FANTASTIC australian stuff called NADS (I kid you not, that is really what it is called)
When I ran out of my first tub (About 9 months) I found it hard to buy but you can now buy it online and the results are fab.
It doesn't need heating, you slap it on and rip it off!
It's completely natural and when your hair does eventually start coming back it is softer and finer than the stubbly stuff you usually get (This works everywhere too!)
It comes highly reccommended!!!

Hi there,
First I think that's a really great thing you are doing!!!
I would FAR prefer something that a lot of thought had gone into than something picked up from a shop!
My best friend wrote the following in my last birthday..
"Friends are the Family we choose for ourselves"
Another one that I have written on a fridge magnet is "Always make new friends, but never forget the old - cos whilst new friends are silver, old friends are gold"
Hope you get a good collection and your friend has a great b'day!

What does the book Bleachers by John Grisham have to do with the search for identity? (link)
|
Hi,
Unless you have read the book (and you don't say whether you have or not?!) you won't know.
If you haven't read the book read it, it's actually quite good.
If you have read the book then take a look at some reviews at TheBookReporter.Com/reviews and you may get a better idea!

Hey,
I have been asked to consider what subjects I want to do at A Level next year for college. I am thinking about English Language (I have already completed the GCSE and am currently doing the AS level and I enjoy this a lot), perhaps English Lit, Psychology and Philosophy of Religion and Ethics. I'm also doing Childcare as I want to be a nanny. Has anyone done any of these subjects? What are they like? And do you think they'll be relevant to being a Nanny or will look good on my CV? Have you got any subjects to suggest that were a lot of fun or would be relevant? Because I want to have some fun as well as do well :)
Thanks, and please only answer if you are English as people from other countries won't understand our crazy messed up education system :P (link)
|
Hi there!!
When I first started further education I wanted to be a Nanny too.
I did a Diploma in Childcare, Health and Education (More commonly known as the NNEB)
This is one of the easiest ways to get into childcare as it gives you the hours you need working with children between the ages of birth to 7 years 11 months. It also provides you with a lot of experience that you just cannot get in a classroom.
The course is quite structured and for the first year you will normally spend one week in placement (at a nursery, school, hospital or at home with a parent who hs 3 children in this age group)
There are also GNVQ courese that you can take that are very hands on too.
As I didn't chose to go down the A-level path I am not sure what one's would look best on your CV although Psychology and Sociology are normally pretty good ones.
THe best person to speak to would be someone at a local college or a careers advisor.
Once you have finished this next level of education do you plan on going to Uni for exaple? As some qualifications stand you in better stead for some degree courses than others!
Whatever you decided to do I really hope it works out and if you want anymore info on the NNEB then e-Mail me at MelanieHarvey81@hotmail.com
Take care!

Hey!
I was wondering..
Does anyone know if I can order juicy couture clothing off the internet and get it on sale?
If anyone knows can you give me the website?
Thanks! (link)
|
Hi there,
The best place I've found to buy cheap Juicy clothes is from e-Bay.
You can get some real bargains!!
I would just say though that look out for stuff that says NWT or BNWT as these are items that haven't been worn by anyone else (New with Tag/ Brand New With Tag) Unless you don't mind wearing second hand items in which case you will get them even cheaper!
Happy shopping!!!

ok here it goes...My mom had a disease which you call Gillian Bereau in 2001 and she almost died from this and she finally got over this but not fully now we have found out she has lupus but not tha bad kind yet but its still bad and it could get real bad if she dont treat it...She cant swollow nothing she lives off on icecream and boost because something is wrong with her throat that causes her not to be able to swollow nothing so she cant take the pills...im not that healthy myself i have alot of problems and im a 15yr old so im going through the rough times like friend troubles and relationship stuff and now im stayin really stressed out and i dont know what to do about it please help!!

Hi there,
I am really sorry to hear that your Mom has been so sick, but it sounds like she is getting a little better. It also sounds like she is a fighter and that she is not about to lay down and be beat!
Has she spoken to her doctor about not being able to swallow the tablets properly as they could probably prescribe a liquid form of the drug which she woud be able to digest.
Being 15 years old is hard enough as it is without all of these extra worries you have.
Do you have a close family member you could talk to about how you are feeling or a friend maybe?
That could help to de-stress you. For short term de-stress though I would recommend a long hot bubbly bath with some chocolate and a good book!
If you need to talk more then inbox me or e-Mail me at MelanieHarvey81@hotmail.com and I'll help any way I can.
Take care

Hi Jess,
I used to have to babysit my 2 younger brothers a lot when I was your age too and it really does suck!
Now I'm older I realise that my parents were entitled to a night off occassionally too though.
Why don't you sit down and talk to her and suggest that maybe you don't mind looking after him every other saturday and one night in the week.
That way you still get one Saturday night and so do they.
Alternatively you could suggest that they pick a different night completely.
Hope you get something sorted out. If you sit down calmly and explain how you feel it will also increase you chances of them agreeing! (Believe me, I did the whole stomping door-slamming thing first and it got me nowhere!)
Take Care

is it bad to take pain relief pills everyday? (link)
|
I'd say yes, it is bad to take them everyday. Especially if they aren't needed because you can build up a tolerance to them and then when you really do need them they won't ive any relief!
Used over a long period they can also damage your liver and stomach, so no, don't start taking them everyday! :o)

I want to buy a PDA for my husband. Price is an object, but what he needs it for is to take copious notes at meetings and download them in Windows on his PC. It would also be nice as he travels all the time to have one he could check his email on at airports and overseas. Any advice on what model/brand to get? Please suggest one with and one without wireless. If price is too much with wireless, at least one that he can easily use for note taking is most important.
Thank you! (link)

Hi,
Like Nina said before the Blackberry is an amazing bit of kit!
I used to work for Vodafone UK and still know loads of people that work there.
The Blackberry will connect to your husbands e-Mail anywhere in the world you can get a mobile signal on the mobile network he chooses to use.
If you get one on a contract then the equipment itself is pretty cheap and there are loads of price plans that you can choose to best suit his needs.
Most models have a qwerty keyboard to make it easy for you to type notes and they are relatively quick for sending recieving e-Mails and will also notify you when you have new mail!
Hope this helps!

Some friends and I are in a group project and it's on the holocaust. We're making a movie, but we wanted a song that would really show the sadness of the holocaust, or that would in some way relate to the holocaust, to play in the background of the movie.
If you get what I mean and know any sad songs that relate to the holocaust, or just any songs that relate, PLEASE answer. We're editing the movie now, and it's due friday, so if you can PLEASE help!! Thanks! (link)

Hi there,
There is a really touching poem that I read a few weeks back relating to the holocaust.....
Don't know whether it will help you but it's this............
Frozen Jews
By Avrom Sutzkever
July 10, 1944
Have you seen, in fields of snow, frozen Jews, row on row? Blue marble forms lying, not breathing, not dying.
Somewhere a flicker of a frozen soul - glint of fish in an icy swell. All brood. Speech and silence are one. Night snow encases the sun.
A smile glows immobile from a rose lip's chill. Baby and mother, side by side. Odd that her nipple's dried. Just as her baby has died.
Fist, fixed in ice, of a naked old man: the power's undone in his hand. I've sampled death in all guises. Nothing surprises.
Yet a frost in July in this heat - a crazy assault in the street. I and blue carrion, face to face. Frozen Jews in a snowy space.
Marble shrouds my skin. Words ebb. Light grows thin. I'm frozen, I'm rooted in place like the naked old man enfeebled by ice.
They are quite versatile words and could easily be put into song form. As they rhyme you could even rap them
Hope this helps and hope you get a good mark.

Hey! I am 13 and I want to start using tampons. The last time I tried it hurt like hell and I couldn't get it to go in far enough. And I am using the smallest type I can find! Whats wrong? Thanks and NO Smart A**ES! THANKS! (link)
|
Hi there,
This used to happen to me too.
I didn't like the idea of using towels cos personally it makes me feel kinda gross!!
The best way to insert one is to stand with one leg up on the toilet seat and push it up diagonally towards the small of your back.
If you still have trouble inserting it hen (and I know i's kinda yuk but it works) lubricate the outside of the tampon slightly then insert it with your finger.
I would also recommend you relax (I know it's not easy) because if you are tense then so will your vaginal muscles be and this will make it virtually impossible to put a tampon in.
Good luck next time your period comes around!!

what are common expressions that you say to the person you love or husband/wife
something like,
You are the _______ in my ________.
or
You put the _______ in ________.
Ive heard those before but I cant remember what the words are.
I need something like that to say to my boyfriend for our anniversary. THANK YOU (link)
|
There are loads of things you could put in there!
You are the fire in my heart
You are the light at the end of my tunnel
You are the elevator that takes me to the top floor!
You are the spring in my step
You are the bees that make my honey
Just whatever you can apply to your relationship.
Eg if you have ever been campin - you are the tent peg that stopped me from collapsing!
If he plays soccer - You are the goal that made me backflip
There are soooooooooooo many variations
Just use whatever you think best

Hey there!
Nice to see someone is more worried about the state of the world that "thier crush!!!"
There is no exact figure for how many lives have been lost in the conflict.
There is still a lot of problems over there but they are in the proess (Under UN scrutiny) of electing a new government.
Thing will probably never be perfect over there but things are most deinitely improving.
The country now has at least a little stability beacuse they aren't as freely dictated to by the Taliban or cruel Regimists like Saddam Hussein (Who is currently facing charges of atrocities against the human race) etc etc.
If you want to know more log onto a news site as there is plenty of information that you can get from there.

i am a level 1 moderator and have been on this site for just a bit past year now. i really want to become a level 2 moderator, but havent been asked yet. i try to rate as many questions every day as i can and answer alot as well. i would like to know, about how often do they need a need level 2? and when was the last time they got a new one? (if anyone knows) thnks

To be honest you would be best to ask a level 3 mod for the answer to this question as ultimately (with good reason) it is up to them who makes level 2 Mod.

Well i have to do a project for my government class in school and i have to get other peoples opinions. I'd really appreciate it if you guys could give me your opinions!
My question is: What is your interpretation of this quote and how do you think this quote applies to responsible citizenship?
"My fellow americans, ask not what your country can do for you-ask what you can do for your country"
THANKS SOO MUCH IN ADVANCE!! (link)
|
Hi there.
The way I interpret it is, what you can do to help the country.
Things like helping the economy by getting a decent education, then a decent job.
Helping the community spirit by being a law abiding citizen.
By politically voting for who you think the best person for the job is.
Stuff like that.
Also little things like, being energy concious, not littering, not wasting water etc. They are all things that in the long term will help America.
Hope this helps and hope you get a good grade!
