hey guys! well, here's the thing. For every marking period, our english teacher assigns us two books to read. And this marking period, we had to read Ender's Game and Fahrenheit 451. (dunno if anyone has ever heard of them). Well, I'm done with Ender's Game (nearly, at least) and so there's no prob with that. The only thing that is left is Fahrehnheit 451, which is about 180 pages long, but a pretty difficult read. The book exam for these two books for me is on tuesday. Unfortunately, I can't spend the entire day reading them tomorrow, since I have other crap to do. How can a person, when reading their book in a VERY limited amount of time, NOT fall asleep while doing it? or...what's a more efficient way to read books? PLEASE ;_; I need this....Thanks much :D
When I don't read books for my class, I go to sparknotes.com or cliffnotes.com. They don't have like A LOT of detail though so you might want to skim through a few chapters. Hope I helped.
Ok so, im 14 years young and ive recently been diagnosed with depression. Isort of saw it coming, but for some reason it came as a huge blow. ive felt different ever since, but at the same time, im relieved to know that my personality has a justification. I have a lack of energy and happiness, and lately not only do i REALLY dont care about anything, but i've become extremely suicidal. Yesterday all i could think about was death, i just DON'T see any point in living anymore. I'm become more afraid of myself, because I actually might committ suicide [I've tried it twice before]. In my mind I ask myself why I haven't done it. I know I need help, but people reminding me each day is making me feel like I deserve it even less. There's a lot more to my story, but I know well that people are sick and tired of listening to other's problems when they have their own to deal with. I don't feel that anyone cares anymore, as hard as they try to pretend. So, should I just do it already?? Thanx for reading
No, you DEFINITELY should NOT do it. To you, it may seem like no one cares, but they really do. So many people would miss you, I promise. Don't do that to everyone else. I know it's hard to make new friends at 14 because I'm 15 and I still have the same friends since elementary school, but try talking to new people or start a new hobby. If your athletic, definetly do a sport, but if not try something like scrapbooking, or writing. If you are depressed, writing can let out all of your feelings. If you need anymore advice, just go to my column and ask. Hope I helped.

That happened to my friend one year, so her dad made her a little book thing. It was made out of like stiff paper, or you could use constuction paper probably, and it was held together with a spiraly thing. Then she decorated the cover because she's creative. Or you could use an essay cover (the see through plastic things) and decorate that. Hope I helped somewhat.

Okay, so I'm trying to get the Sims 2 Nightlife to load up, so I can play my legacy. Problem is, every time I put the disk in and click on the program to start, a pop up comes up saying "Please ensure The Sims 2 Nightlife disc is in teh drive, select OK and restart the application."
What should I do? I have the right disc and everything..
This might not help, but make sure the CD you put in is the newest one you downloaded. That use to be the problem for me. Sorry if I didn't help.

I don't really know of a specific store, and I don't know where you live, but when I go to New York City, people sell them on the streets. Otherwise, I would just say look around stores like JCPenny and Khols, they have a lot of nice jewlery if you really look. Hope I helped.

The obvious answer here is to get back with your ex. Don't date someone just because they are popular. I don't think people will hate you for breaking up with him. They COULD hate you, though, if you don't break up with him and they find out that you were really in love with someone else.

Have some of your friends and his friends hang out together in a group so that conversation will come easier. You shouldn't feel uncomforable talking with YOUR OWN boyfriend because if you do, then your relationship will be hard to keep. Hope I helped!

I have SUPER straight and thick hair. I have tried to scrunch it many times but that never did any good. So i put my wet hair up in a bun and sleep with it. It does get curly/wavy - ish but it never lasts. I put tons of hairspray but only the top part of my hair would stay scrunched, the bottom/inner part would be dead straight. So any products or tips that would make it scrunched the whole day and have the wet look? Thanks.
Yes, I see this question is almost a 2 months old... but I recently found a really good way to scrunch hair. Just like you, I have extremely straight hair and it never stayed scrunched, but this actually held for the whole day. I'm going to explain this the best way I can.
1. Right after your shower, towel dry your hair so that it's still wet but not dripping. Brush it.
2. Get gel (I use Dove) and just put a quarter size amount throughout your hair. (Don't over do it because you'll add more gel later)
3. Take a peice of your hair (Doesn't really matter how big, just not thick) and twist it so that it looks like the top of this girl's head but don't put your hair on your head, just hanging. (hope that makes sense) http://www.dressytresses.com/hair/gallery/instruct/cornrow/gallerypic.jpg
4. Once you've dont that put it up onto your head with this kind of clip(s). http://www.nefertiti.com/shop/images/ClawHairClip.jpg
5. Repeat this with your whole head and feel free to add gel if you feel you NEED to.
6. Once all of it is on your head, take gel and just spread it over every peice.
7. After that, sleep with it in overnight, or if its the morning, leave it in for 10-20 minutes probably.
8. After you take it down, it will look bad, BUT DON'T WORRY! Take hairspray, gel, scruch spray, whatever you want and just put it in your hair, but once again don't over load cause it will make your hair hang low, causing it to straighten.
9. Now, shake out your hair to get it out of the little pipe curls.
10. Shaking probably won't be enough to get it to look scrunched, so break apart each piece with your hands.
11. Mess it up some more if needed, and you can also brush it VERY gently so it doesn't take them out, but seperates them.

P.S. Aussie (purple can) has a scrunch spray that smells great and hold nicely.
When you twist it, you don't need to put an elastic on the end, but just make sure you put in on top of your head with the clip and it doesnt untwist completly.

Ok I'm 13/f and I'm so angry of my eyes at the point I could have a heart attack!
My two eyes are different, not different colour but:
-one eye has a double eye lid, the other deosn't
-the one with the double eye lid's eyelash go up (that's normal you know liek when you wear mascara the eyelashes go up?) but the other one's go DOWN
-and one of them is slightly smaller than the other which I guess you would say doesn't matter (since noone pays attention to you that much)but when I have to take pictures with people and look straight people think I'm cross eyed or something cuz I give thsi stupid look with my eyes but actually they're two different sizes
- The one with double eyes lids look like a girl's eye but the other one is like a boy's eye (I could cover have my face and one side of my face I look like a girl and the other I look exactly liek a boy!)
Is there anything I can do about this other than surgery?
Use an eyelash curler on the eyelases that go down; mascara is like hairspray for your eyelashes. And last year, my science teacher told our class that if you find a magazine and cover half of the person's face on the cover, one will look feminine and one will look masculine. I'm sure it's only you that notices it, so don't lose all confidence because of it. Hope I helped!
