you could do:
half black/brown half blonde and then do your bangs the opposite colors.
black with white underneath
blonde with black underneath
black with turquoise underneath
or you could just go all white (a girl at my school did that but with a faux hawk and it looked awesome)

Hi. I'm fifteen years old and i'm a female. I've had my naval pierced for about a year now, and I have my ears pierced twice in both ears. Now however, i'm wanting to get my tongue pierced. I've been wanting it done for about 3 months now, and i've done my research. I know the positives, the negatives, and all the care needed. I've done so well with all my other piercings, and I know I can take care of my tongue if I get it pierced. The problem is, my mom won't allow it. I don't understand why? She was ok with all of my other piercings and I don't understand why this one is any different. My question is, what makes this piercing any different, and what can I say to her to make her change her mind?

well.. someone people think tongue rings are trashy. So your mom could think it's trashy? just give her a couple of days and then ask again and tell her exactly why you want it pierced and then tell her that nobody you talk to thinks it's trashy and tell her if she doesn't like it on you then you can wear a flesh colored ball or a clear spacer when you're around her. :D good luck!

My dream job is to be a Fashion Designer or an Artist. I love to create different fabrics and I love to paint. I live in the US around Minneapolis, Minnesota. I'm doing a project on rules in schools, the good and the bad. However, I need rules that AREN'T just at my schoo or in my state.
I was wondering, what kind of dress codes do you guys have at your schools? Length of shorts, tank tops, ripped jeans?
Also, what are the rules on PDA? We get suspension if we're caught hugging.
Just any rules you may feel strongly about or just ones you guys totally love!

I go to a small PUBLIC highschool in Texas.
We have standardized dress which is:
Polos or button up shirts
solid colors
brown, black, or khaki pants/shorts/skirts
all shorts and skirts have to be knee length or longer
shoes must be solid color and not distracting
socks must be black, white, or brown
shoelaces have to match the shoe or be white
if we break dress code the first time it's a warning but the second time, we get Friday night school until 6:00. The third time, we get Friday night school until 8:00.
PDA:
we can hug and hold hands but no deep kissing or long hugs. We get warnings for the first few times then a 15 min detention.

You could do a Roman theme.. togas and everything...
For a game you could do something like Clue. Try to figure out who stabbed Caesar!
You can higher someone to plan this for you or just do it yourself. I did this for my 16th birthday and everyone LOVED it. They talked about it for atleast a month. It was amazing and takes a couple of hours to do. (and have snacks and stuff around so people don't die of starvation)

it all depends on what kind of stories you like to write.
but here are a few ideas:
life in the day of a highschooler or teenager
conspiracy is always fun!
an alien invasion (childish, I know, but you could make it scary)
a children's book
a "How To" story, how to on relationships, sports, cooking, sewing, fashion, politics, pretty much anything could be a "how to"
you could also write a play? combined a few plays. For example, Julius Caesar, Wicked, and Grease.. that would be interesting.
write a story about your life. Like Teri Hatcher's Burnt Toast book (if you haven't read it, it's amazing)
write about your religious or spiritual views
your favorite sport
Just take something off the list and twist it around or combined a few of the ideas!

sometimes when I can't think of anything to write about I drink black coffee or greentea (or just tea) and it helps me think. I don't know what it is but it really does help! or do something relaxing such as yoga or just do a few stretches or maybe go for a walk. Avon is the best make-up I've ever used. My waterproof eyeliner stays on all day at school and before I go to bed I have to scrub my eyeliner off. It's just amazing.

Okay, I have my right ear cartiledge done.
I love it, but I'm so tired of putting studs in it. I live in middle of nowhere, usa and there is no stores that sell cute earrings. What are some good websites that sell earrings for cartiledge peircings that arn't neccicerially (sp) studs?

I have been having pain on my left side of my jaw on the bottom like underneath my skin. it hurts to touch it, or to turn my head. i know i didnt break it, because i dont remeber ever hitting it. is it because i use my vocal chords to much?

you should be more specific about the area.
is it ON your jaw or under it?
if it's ON it you could have just over worked it or maybe turned your head the wrong way without realizing it.
if it's under your jaw, like closer to your throat it could be an infection growing, like tonsilitis. When I first started getting tonsilitis I thought it was my jaw too and I couldn't turn my head. It stopped hurting for a day and then my throat started hurting and my lymph noids (near your jaw) started swelling and my tonsils got really red and swollen. Check with your doctor, I might be wrong.

There's this song called "Simple Gifts" that I will have to sing solo soon. I am a saprano but it's hard for me, though i've sang this way for years. I am more comfortable in alto. I can't switch because my teacher says if I expand my range now I will become an excellent singer someday. When I sing the song the high notes seem to be too high for me. Can somebody here please help me find a way to hit higher notes better? (link)

lift your soft palette (it should feel like you're yawning) and open your mouth wide like you're biting an apple.
make sure your eyes are lifted, it actually does help.
Do warm ups before you sing, go up the scale.
Ask your teacher about the "yawn sigh" warm up.
Don't let your jaw tighten up, relax it by moving your head from side to side. (not tilting it like you're going to pop your neck by like you're looking to the left and then the right)
make sure your feet are shoulder width apart, you're standing up straight, and you're breathing from your diaphram and not your chest.
when you sing the notes sing in your head voice, hum before if you have to so you know what it feels like.
vowel shape is key!
maybe instead of singing the words first, you could write in the syllables (do re mi etc..) and practice that until you're comfortable with the words.
Drink warm water before (cold water tightens up your vocal cords)
do some stretches before you sing and get relaxed
don't tighten up your shoulders, they should be rounded and relaxed.
maybe do a couple of breathing exercises before.

Alright so. I'm in my first year of highschool, and this highschool is three different schoools combined, and I'm from one of them. There's these twins, really really adorable and nice and everything, but they seem like really shy. One of them is in all of my classes and the other is in all of my best friend's classes, so we're trying to hook up with them before homecoming LOL. Neither have had a real girlfriend, but the one I like has had like one for 2 days. They're at our lunch and we really want to sit with them but we don't know what to say. go over to their table and say "Hey is anyone sitting here?" and if they say no say "Well do you mind of we sit here?" they'll probably say y'all can and then just ask them about their interests like.. music, movies, sports, or what they like to do in their spare time. Don't let there be awkward silences. Just go with the flow and don't be nervous! Good Luck!

ok so basically im thirteen new town new school i live in a apartment complex so i met a few kids already but now my best friend that i met here is moving [she was the only one on my team that i know]so basically im screwed but during the summer ive been all preppy i guess but the thing is i love emo gothic, & scene kids i love there style but its a new school and i dont want to seem all wierd is there anyway to incoporate preppy with emo gothic or scene? and i dont want a lecture about not listening to peoples comments and thoughts (link)

if you want the "scene" look wear skinny jeans, Vans, bandanas, cut your hair into very short choppy layers, color it crazy, and wear shirt colors, in layers, that don't match but look good with jeans. Go the the nearest thrift store, buy a pair of jeans, and then beat the hell out them. :)
but really.. you don't want to fit into a label.. be yourself (I know that's what everyone is saying) and dress//act crazy.. if you want to fit into this label, you can't be shy. Do things out of the ordinary.. go up to people in your new school and just say HEY! you look interesting, nice to meet you. I have a few fears that might be interesting-
1. butterflies- I've never been able to figure out why, it's just something that's grown in the past few years. They just creep me out.
2. the "closet monster"- I can't have my closet door open at all unless I'm getting something out of it because I'm afraid something is watching me or is going to get me. I have to prop heavy things up against it while I sleep I know nothing will come out.
3. being alone- I've never been able to figure this one out either. I just can't be by myself ANYWHERE. If I'm left alone I either call someone or have the TV on so I feel like someone is with me.
4. dying in a couch- when I was in 8th grade I was at a friends house and I accidentally got stuck in her fold out bed in her couch (with her help of course) and almost suffocated. It took her uncle 30 min to get me out and I was wrapped in a flannel blanket and had flanel pajamas on.
5. midgets- I'm just scared of little people. I could never watch the Wizard of Oz. When I was little I tried watching it but went histarical when the midgets came on.
6. odd numbers- it's an OCD thing. I can't be around anyone with an uneven birthday or favorite number. I can't have anything assigned to me that's odd or eat anything that's an odd number.
