well, every room in my dream house has a brick accent wall. but it's like old looking bricks that you would find in an old firehouse or something. and i want to have a piano bar in it. and i want to have an italian or mediterranean style kitchen. i kind of want the design style to be a mix of pop art and old firehouse, if that makes any sense. haha. hope this is detailed enough :)
I have a hard time in a certain part of making chords on the guitar- namely the barring... I don't know if that's what you guys know it as, but it's where you use one finger to press down on more than one string. I can do it a little, but it's really hard, especially when you're trying to press on all 6! Are there any hints, like changing the angle of my hand or something, to make it easier?
there's not really anything you can do that will have an instantaneous effect. but if you keep trying to make the barred chords (you can try only barring a few strings at a time), you will build up your muscles in your fingers and it will be so much easier. i remember when i first started playing guitar and i couldn't make a chord for crap! and now i can because i kept practicing and my fingers got stronger (piano helps with that too). the only thing you can do is keep making the barred chords so it becomes easier. if you want to try a song that has a lot of barred chords, just to practice on, try jack johnson's "sitting, waiting, wishing". that's what i did, and i would sit down and play it every day and soon enough i could make the chords. hope i helped!

okay, the best thing to do is earn it. however, it's going to be a little bit difficult with the time frame. but, you can earn part of it if you get a job. the last thing you want to do is get a student loan because those just suck. try to earn your own money first, see what you can bum off of your relatives, and then check out astrive student loans and think student loans. i think you get your money in like a week. but don't forget about interest rates and stuff... a loan is a big deal. you can always apply for scholarships and grant, so go to your college website and apply for financial aide.

I am going into high school this year and for the last 8 years I have had to wear uniforms to school. But in high school, there are no uniforms, just a couple of rules. Like:
1) no BLUE jeans. we can wear any color jeans, just not BLUE jeans. it's the stupidest rule ever, especially because blue is one of my school's colors. where can I find jeans (preferably skinny jeans) that aren't blue? I am open to any other colors. red, purple green, orange, ANYTHING. give me links please.
2) no spaghetti straps. where can I find cute t-shirts? give links please.

1.) places like old navy and american eagle always have cute bermuda shorts and pants that aren't blue. you could do khaki shorts/capris, or white shorts/capris, or brown or black or whatever. look at gap and old navy for stuff like that, and places like american eagle have the patterned pants and shorts. you can go to oldnavy.com, gap.com, and ae.com. i think that old navy has skinny jeans.
2.) not sure on what style you like, but if you like the preppy look you can go to american eagle, hollister, or abercrombie and fitch... et cetera. if you're more like me, you could go to delias.com, wetseal.com, charlotte-russe.com, rue21.com, or any other junior's store like those. gap and old navy are very good for basics like plain color shirts and tank tops and stuff. plus, you can always layer a spaghetti strap under a v-neck (probably old navy, american eagle, or gap for that).

cheap wine will never be anything but cheap wine. however, if you buy a bottle of wine (like a good pinot grigio) that is over fifty bucks and then wait like five years, it will be the best then. it will be worth more, though it's hard to say how much more. next time you go to a restaurant, look at the wine menu and it will give you an idea of the worth of different wines. but a very cheap bottle of wine won't age like a good bottle of wine will.
so im in a bit of a pickle. tomorrow my cousin and i are going with these 2 guys to Six Flags, and im smack dab in the middle of my period, which is kinda heavy. My cousin and I both wont have any pockets bc we wear soffees for the water rides and were not carrying any kind of bag or anything.. and i dont really want to carry one just for a tampon. and flip flops so i cant put it in my shoe. We stay out there all day so i figure i can put one in right before we leave or right when we get there so i should be ok most of the day but ill need to change it at least once. any ways to conceal it? i got the compax things since theyre smaller, and dont suggest wearing a pad bc theres water rides.
put it inside your bra/undies. also, this is what i do in these situations, put in a tampon (see if you have a super absorbent brand) right before you go, and also use a pantiliner or pad just in case. they might sell them in the restrooms too.

actually, i believe that amazon.com guarantees that your book is delivered on saturday, july 21 (the day the book comes out in stores). that is what my sister is doing. apparently they're saying that it will arrive sometime on the 21st.
It seems like everytime I recently get up from sitting or laying, i get a really dizzy head and start to black out. and then my feet start feeling really heavy and weak. especially when walking up or down the stairs. it gets really scary.
does anyone know what this is? a blood pressure issue?
it could possibly be a blood pressure issue, or maybe you aren't getting the vitamins you need. if you don't already, try taking a multivitamin daily. but definitely go to the doctor because they're the only ones that can give you a definite answer.

im 17, im very responsible, im in el paso texas for the summer--i paid for it! i worked all year long to visit my boyfriend. now my mom "let" me go which was cool. but now shes going to call the cops on me to make them send me home back to washington can they do that? because i went a little over on my phone bill which is in her name and im sending her money little by little but now she says if i dont send more than 100.00 shes going to call the cops and MAKE me come home. its just plain bullshit i dont know what to do, any advice for parental bullshit? shes crazy if i dont call her everyday she sends the cops over -.-" bullllshit.
since you're technically not 18 yet, i suppose your mom could do whatever she wanted to make you come home. so until you turn 18, you are basically at her mercy. if i were you, just keep calling her every day and send her all the money to get her off of your back. keep her happy and then when you turn 18 you can do whatever the heck you want.

This may be a dumb question, but I just now started to wear the bras with cups and how do you wash those? Wouldn't a washing machine damage them?

I'm playing a boy in an upcoming play and I'm rather curvy. I'm 5'1" and my measurements are like 38-28-38
I can't just pile on extra-baggy clothes because I have a specific costume I have to wear.
Is there something I can wear underneath to straighten me out? Duct tape/ace bandages are a last resort because that's waaay uncomfortable and liable to come undone.
the only thing i can think of is if you wear a leotard underneath. those normally flatten things out a bit. if you haven't thought of this already: instead of just trying to diminish your hips and bust, could you wrap something around your waist to make your waist bigger, and wear a leotard to make your bust and hips smaller? you might want to try wrapping a big ace bandage around your middle, but loosely so that it bulks you out a little bit.
is there any way to heal a small cavity without going to a dentist? i'm going to one, i just DREAD having to go through the process of getting it filled, because i've never had one before.
no, you can't heal a cavity yourself. it's really not that bad. it would probably be a good idea for you to take an ipod or cd player or something and listen to music while they do it. of course, they will numb you so you won't be able to feel a thing! i actually love going to the dentist because it makes my mouth feel weird when it's numb. i guess that's kind of stupid, but it's really not as bad as you think it is :)
in youtube there are tons of comments on girls that love emo boys because of their side parted hair,makeup,tight girl jeans and stuff.I was wondering why is that so? i mean i understand the hair maybe,but why do girls go for guys that look like.....girls? with their makeup and tight jeans? don't girls like macho man who wear boyish stuff? please clear my confusion thanks.

hmm, i don't really go for the "emo" type guys. my sister once dated somebody who called himself emo. i'm not saying this about the entire emo population, or whatever, but when she broke up with him he crawled into the back of her car (now my car) and curled up into the fetal position and started crying. she was running late, and they were in a parking lot, so she had to pop open the back of her car, lift him out, and she set him down in the parking lot. then she drove off. i don't understand what part of that is attractive to people. honestly. i mean, now i can't think of anything other than emo boys when i put stuff in the back of my car. long story short? emo boys are sensitive. some girls go for sensitive. but i would rather not have people curling up in the fetal position in the back of my car.
Well that is my problem. i can't seem to play the pitch with out hearing it first. and know i am the only person in my "section" so i can't hear the pitch from anyone else. AND i can't play like the tune of a new song with out hearing it first.
like we just got new music and i can see the notes and know what counting they get but i can't seem to make it sound like a song when i play it.
the notes are always screwed up and it sounds nothing like the CD i got. I only got it right when someone else(my director) played it for me.

that is close to enough info, haha. i was looking for you to tell me if you are woodwind or brasswind. i'm going to guess and say that you're a woodwind because you said that you're the only one in your section? well, on a woodwind instrument of course you know that for each fingering or whatever, there's only one note to play. as opposed to brasswind, where it is probably a little more difficult because there can be several notes for each fingering or position. i think your problem is that you are psyching yourself out. of course you can play the notes! because you have before. i think that you are telling yourself that you can't, when we both know that isn't true. i also think that you need to just practice at home and build up your confidence. once you build up your confidence, then it doesn't matter if you make mistakes when you play, really. the best kind of mistake is one that is loud and clear, because then you can fix it! that is what my old band director told me. he said that it is better to play out and play wrong so that you can say "oops!" and fix it next time. do your friends have the same problem? i know some people that do. i used to have the same problem until i went home and practiced and practiced and practiced until my dog got so tired of listening to me that she hid under my bed. but the point of this story is that now i can sightread better and i am more confident. here's another little bit of advice: i used to be the only one in my section, a few years ago. and if i messed up, nobody else could tell because they didn't have my music. also, if i sounded weird, nobody else would know the difference because there wasn't another person in my section. something that helps me is listening to other people for the pitch when you play songs. if you can learn who also has the same sort of melody or whatever in the song you're playing, then you can listen to that section. for example, i play tenor sax, which is a low reed instrument, so normally i'm grouped with bass clarinets. most of the time i have the same music as them, so if i have trouble with something, i can listen to them or ask one of them. it's the same thing with like oboe and flutes. if you were an oboe player, you could listen to the flutes for what notes to play (though they would be like an octave higher).
here's my guide to what instruments normally have the same music:
flutes = oboe = trumpet
clarinet = alto sax = french horn
baritone = trombone
tenor sax = bass clarinet
tuba = bari sax
that's only most of the time, though. it is good that you are getting help from your director! i think you should keep going to him/her for help because whether or not you realize it, it is definitely helping you.

jamba juice is like starbucks because they mix it right there. it is a frozen juice drink. so if you ordered it, it would probably not work out. i had it once, and it is pretty good though. as for the new brunswick location, look it up at yellowpages.com.

there is a website that i found the other day called "What the font?" or something. you can google "what the font" (make sure you have it in quotations) and it should be like the first one. basically, you upload a picture of your font, and then it tells you what font it is and where to download it. it's very handy! also, that font reminds me of some of the fonts on dafont.com under like old school or whatever.
m/13 so my friend and me discovered this new way to inhale aerosols, through toilet paper to get high. i heard people do something like this as well. he said its the ethanol that gets you high. ive tried smoking and this thats all, but i like inhaling much better. he said that it doesnt do anything to you and its not dangerous, so is it? we were inhaling deodrant. it feels like your dizzy and light. i get a kinda head ache after it aswell....
as everybody else said, it can kill you. same thing with sniffing sharpies, paint, and things of that nature that put off a fume. heck, even people who do nails for a living inhale deadly fumes. i suggest that you quit doing that. you and your friend need to find something else to do though. if you want that dizzy/light feeling try drinking red bull (but not often and not more than one per day because it can harm you as well). it makes you feel weird and it doesn't permanently damage your brain. however, it is still an energy drink so there have been studies about energy drinks and teenagers. just quit trying to get high, okay?
i have only subg in front of a couple of people, and they all think i am maddona lol, but they do think i am good. i am just afraid of wat people will think. i have taken quizzes about reallity shows, and it is always American idol. i had a dream that i got to like the third round. should i go for my dream, or lay down low? and i am affraid of getting in front of so many people.

i've been playing music for about 10 years now, and i'm not much older than you. although i could get a regular job doing something normal after i go to college, i would love to become a professional musician. and you have to understand that the music industry is incredibly harsh. there are many more musicians who have tried and failed than those who have tried and made it.
but i know that if it's something that i really want, and if it's something that i really love to do, then i have no worries. and the same goes for you, in whatever you choose to do. in fact, i don't plan to major in music in college. i plan to major in something normal to fall back on, but i will probably attend a college in the "music capital of the world"... so you can guess what i will be concentrating on.
my point is that, no matter how cliche this sounds, in whatever you do... as long as you know that you can do it, and you know that you want it, you will be able to accomplish it. i'm not sure if you are religious or whatever (i'm not too terribly), but my opinion is that god gave me this gift so that i could share it with others. god gave you a gift so that you could share it with others. it would be a waste of his gift to just lay low if this is your calling.
also, it is much easier for me to perform in front of many people than in front of a couple of people. i don't know how to explain it. the best place to start is if your school has a talent show or something. that will really help you. it's a little bit curious, but when you are in a darkened auditorium on a stage, and you are standing in the spotlight, you can't see anything but the stage you are standing on. you can't see the audience whatsoever. that's partly why it's easier for me to perform in front of a lot of people.
another thing: people really get into your performance if they can tell that you are having the time of your life. so you have to make that come true. i'm a pianist, so you can imagine that i am critical of other pianists when they perform. you have to always be true to yourself when you play music because music is something that everybody can understand. and i can tell when somebody isn't fully enjoying what they're doing. most of my friends are musicians also. most of them play piano, too, as well as other instruments. so when we all gather at somebody's house, i sit down at the piano and play through like disney songbooks and everybody sings. that's the most fun you can have: sharing music with other people. and that's kind of what i try to embody when i perform: that same feeling that i get when i play music with my closest friends, or the feeling that i get when my favorite song comes on the radio. i fully believe in the expression that nobody can make you happy until you make yourself happy, and only then can you make others happy. before you decide to do this, you need to sit down and make sure it's the right decision for you. and then you can share it with others.
