Q: Ok it kinda of seems like my best friend hates me or something or maybe kinda tries to hint it.

like atleast once a day for a month now she'll say something about me being a perfectionist. Like anything I say she'll respond in like a mean FUCK OFF way, "perfectionist"

Does she hate me or something? I guess i'm kinda a perfectionist but I don't show off or anything in a snobby way. I just try to be talented in everything to please my parents and make myself feel better because I think lowly of myself.

You and your friend are both battling sefl esteem issues, you are trying because you feel "lowly" she call you a perfectionist because she feels she lacks your drive.

She's likely joking about though, so when she next calls you a perfectionist respond in the same voice and call her a slacker. Then laugh and talk about it.

well i'm going to a rowing camp for the first time this summer. i've never been to camp before. it's ages 12-18 and i'm SO scared! like i won't know anyone. and most people that are there will probably have been there for like 3 years. i'm SO scared!! like this isn't like going to school cause people will already have friends and stuff. i'm a pretty outgoing girl except when i'm left by myself - if i had a friend there, i'd be superr outgoing. can someone give me some advice? & people don't just say, "just be yourself & be friendly!" like some serious advice.

Find another person who is there for the first time, they will be in the same position as you.

Camps as a general rule make sure you are not outcast so i wouldn't worry about it too much.

Q: i am doing a research paper on caffeine. i listed herbal tea as an alternative for coffee drinkers. what are some health pros and cons for herbal tea?

pros.
Herbal tea is hydrating liquid vs. caffeinated drinks which are diurectics.

Depending on the herbal mixture, tea can have vitamins, minerals and nutrients that are all conducive to good health.

cons.
some of the herbal mixtures have herbs that are just as bad as caffeine if not worse for you if taken in large doses

Q: So me and my boyfriend's 6month anniversary is on April 30th :) I love him soo much! But that's beyond the question haha.

I have no idea what to get him as a gift..
I was thinking a scrapbook but then I realized I had nooo fricken pictures haha. So I need help bad.

You might be going out with a sensitive sentimental guy who is all into anniversaries and celebrations. But I doubt it.

Remind him its your anniversary and tell him you've decided that you should not exchange gifts.(he will like that) and then suggest you go out on a special date to somewhere fun.

You relieving him of the stress of shopping for a gift will probably be the best gift you can give him.

Q: Hey will it waste electricity when i put my computer on standby mode but after 5 minutes it turns on again but after 1 minute it goes off in standby mode again and keeps doing that on and on. Well my computer just started acting like that since i got a new lap top. what happened was a guy from the Geek Squad came over our house to help set up the internet service to our lap top and he did somthing to my computer. well he installed my new printer for me but he also put in some kind of wireless internet service just like he did to my lap top. also he set up a new modem. after a while my internet connection was getting messed up so i decided to give my computer a system recovery. i did that and i noticed at the back of my hard drive was an antennea and i unplug that because probably it was what was causung my computer to not go on standby mode. so after that my computer does that routine again where it goes in standby but turns on again after 5 minutes and goes standby after 1 minute and repeats. so my question again is will it waste electricty? And does anyone know how to fix that kind of problem? i dont quite care if it does waste electricity i'll just have to then just completely shut it down but i highly prefer putting it in standby because i can just get on my computer in an instant rather than turning it on and waiting like 3 minutes for it to start up. lol im just the impatient type of person sometimes but i can get used to that sort of method if i must.

the antenna is to help get better reception if you decide to use the laptop in battery mode and go truly wireless . example:taking the laptop outside and sitting on your lawn while surfing.

The reason it keeps going on and off standby is because he probably set it up in power save mode so that if you did surf in your front yard your battery would last longer.

Computers use very little electricity and if you're leaving it plugged in all the time you can disable the power save mode from your control panel

go to "start" then "control panel" then to "power options " and disable the standby mode then go to the desktop right click and empty space choose "properties" and set up a screen saver and your computer will never shut off.

Q: Can someone help me how to type properly? There was this program like Mavis Becan at school to help me type properly but I still didn't get it.

I don't type properly but I don't type in like a weird way or anything but my cousin was in high school and he's like if you don't type properly the teacher can give you a low mark in computer class.

the previous answer was perfect. and the rest is natural. you reach what ever letter is closest to that finger and and then return it to the rest postiion. The idea is to know where all the letters, numbers and punctuation is without looking at the keyboard. if you can do that then it's just a matter of practice so you get fast. As far as being marked down, you get marked down for errors in spelling just like you would if you wrote it out by hand.

Q: do they have pregnancy tests at gas stations? how much are they? lol you dont have to be a certain age do you?

i have seen a preganancy test for sale at a mini-mart gas station but it was out in the middle of nowhere and served as a quasi-type general store also.

local drugstore is your best bet and no there is not an age requirement unless that store decides to impose one.

Q: my friend is a virgin and she told me last night that she thought she was pregnant. i really dont see how this is possible but this is how she explained it: She told me she was fingered and then im guessing she gave him a blowjob and she got stuff on her hands.. she washed her hands and then put a tampon in cause she was on her period i guess. sperm die pretty quickly when exposed to air. the chances of your friend being pregnant are incredibly slim if the story she gave you is true. and what I mean by slim is almost completely impossible.

Q: ok i have thick hair, and when i straighten it gets smooth and shiny, and looks good and healthy, but its too thick for me, like it's wherever i go, my hair goes, it's so annoying, is there anything i can do to get it thinner?... i get it thinned out at the salon, but is there anything else i could possibly do? thanks :]

learn how to cut hair like they do at the salon then do it yourself.

Q: I'm not completely sure of my eye color. I'm "iffy" on the classification of it. Is there an eye color chart someone could link me to? I think it's a bluish-green, but I want to be accurate. Thank you for those who respond!

the standard colors for eyes are , brown, blue, hazel, green, black and blue. There are many combinations of this mostly with people with blue green eyes since the lighting which you view the eye color can make it change to more blue or more green.

Q: I should toothpaste on ym face for acne, mini pimples, and red spots. Sometimes I leave the toothpaste on my face overnight and wash it off when I wake up.

I was wondering if it's ok for my face? Because it has a little burning feeling when I put it on my face.

Just to make sure you know, cuz there was this lady on the news where like have the skin is burned or peeled off on her face cuz she felt her face burn when she put on her acne medicine. She thought that's how it was supposed to feel when actually, her face and skin were actually burning! now her face is scarred for life

the woman on the news had an allergic reaction to a medication. If you were allergic to your toothpaste you would have found that out when you used it to brush your teeth. If you have already left the toothpaste on your face overnight and nothing happened yet, it is most likely nothing will happen.

Q: I don't know why but recently my computer at the corner with the time, has been giving out the wrong date and other users on the computer including me are tired of keep changing it.

We shouldn't be checking the calendar for the time, that's what that part in the ocmputer is for!

Does anyone know how to make sure it stays at the right time for sure? Like the date today said the date yesterday (april 21) and we changed it but later it might change to a diff date

many computer are acting wierd since they changed the daylight savings time shift this year and most computers are set up with a fixed schedule.

double click the time in the corner of your screen.

when the window comes up click the" time zone" tab and then uncheck the daylight savings time box and make sure the correct time zone is selected for your area . then click the "internet time" tab and check the box to automatically check the time with an internet time server.

Q: ok so well today i was taking pictures of me and my friends in the pool and so i kind of got it wet because my hands were wet....i know stupid..and now it turned off and wont turn back on (and no its not dead) i tried drying off the battery and everything. OK so my question is will it work again? or will i have to get it fixed or get a new phone

if its water damage the warranty WILL NOT cover the replacement costs so I hope you have insurance. I work in the cell phone industry and I can tell you that people ruin their phones with water all the time. Even if after letting it sit for a day or two it starts working again it will likely have bad habits like shutting off for now reason, some numbers might not work right and a bunch of other little problems. I recommend getting a new phone (through insurance if you have it) or buy a new one outright and consider this a lesson learned.

Q: This question is for people who have either been through college, enrolled in college, or are very experienced with it.
Is it better to have mediocre grades and all honors classes or good grades (A's and B's) with mostly standard classes (and one honors class)?
I'm asking this because I'm a high school freshman hoping go to Stanford to major in psychology, and I wanted to know which looks better. Thank you so much!

Good grades in any class is what you want. Some schools don't have alot of Honors classes and Stanford won't know you don't come from one of those. Extracuricular activities are just as important. Make sure you do somethings outsided of classwork so you can demonstrate you would be an asset to the school.

Q: Hey, i need serious help, well, one of my best friends does. Her boyfriend is into doing Pot, but, the thing is, he doesnt want to. Is there anything he can do...to like, not do pot, like, chew gum or something...or something odd like that. Getting help by an adult is not an option. Please, any suggestions.

contrary to popular belief, pot is not nearly as addicting as cocaine or tobacco.

If he really doesnt want to smoke it, he should stop. If he hangs out with a bunch of people who do, he needs to get enough courage to say no or stop hanging around those people so the temptation isn't there anymore. Go around with him and make him say to all his friends that smoke, "I want to quit pot, please dont offer me any or let me have any if I ask for some." That way the only access he'll have is if he grows it himself.

probably simple irritation from clothing. put a big bandage over it for a day or two and if the pain persists, see a doctor.

Just cause someone asks you to do something doesn't mean you should. As to how to do it, pretty simple. lips mouth and tongue and no teeth. The rest is practice attitude and enthusiasm.

But don't do it with someone unless you're in a relationship and the next time your older brothers friends ask you to tell them that you don't do your brothers chores and walk away.

Q: I want to buy a new pool stick.

How ever I noticed some things list as a "pool cue" and others as "pool cue stick"

I want to buy the whole big long stick. What is that titled as?

A pool cue is the big long stick used to play pool or billiards.
The difference is that who ever did the listing on the website sometimes added the word stick to the end of the listing. All of them are pool cues.

my only concern is that the search you posted pulls up pink cues. I hope that was just an example and not what you're really going to buy. Pink? yuk.

Q: I have been single for about four months and it is starting to get old. There is this guy I have liked for awhile now but Its not getting anywhere. We have had sex with eachother even tho I know we shouldnt have because its just a tease. I want to make him want me but I`m not sure how. Please give me some ideas? if you have had sex with him and he hasn't come back for more he is likely getting it somewhere else. You would be better off finding someone new. Being bore with being single IS NOT a reason to get a boyfriend, not if you want it to last.
