im so unhappy. i dont really know why, people just bring me down with stupidity and selfishness. i guess mostly just teenage problems, im just afraid this unhappiness is going to get to far. ive picked up smoking, and drinking, and popping pills, just to feel better. (no cutting or anything i think thats rediculous) but i guess my question is, what do i do to make myself happier. what can i say to myself or do for myself without having to go to a doctor because im another one of the millions of kids with "depression"? 17/f thanks ahead of time (link)

I am on the yearbook staff this year - and need some help coming up with some superlatives. Here's my problem - I don't want things that everybody doesn't have a chance at such as "Best Dressed" Here's what we have come up with so far

heyy well heres the thing .. i'm getting old and i haven't started to shave my legs yet. with winter coming up i can wear long pants but in gym, we have to change into uniforms that are shorts. all the popular and good looking guys are in my gym class and i don't want them to get any wrong impressions .. i want to bring this up with my mom but it really gets uncomfortable talking about puberty and such .. i really need some help! thanks ahead of time ! OK well im a 13/f and when I was little and still now if like i do somthing "bad"..or i get my dad mad...he'll like hit me...and like i dont know if thats really considered abuse..well see this all came up because my friend jessica was tellin us how she stayed out late and her dad got really mad and she called her mom and was like i think dads gunna hit me cuz hes really mad but if he lays a hand on me ill call the cops...so that just got me thinkin to myself...is what my dad does considered abuse or just a way of him "punishing" me.

okay so i met this guy hes soooooo freaking nice to me, we talk all the time. and he told me he liked me and stuff but last thursday he hooked up with this BEAUTIFUL girl. and then on homecomign i hear he has a girlfriend and hes all over like every freaking girl.im the type who gets jealus real easy. but we made up or whatever and he came over again yesturday we didnt hook up like usual we just kissed. hes a senior and im a freshman. and i dont know why i belive him when he says he likes me. but hes soo nice. and he told my friends he liked me andd stuff but he is considered a man whore. people even tolld me its funny that i think he likes me, but i cannot help it. alrighty, one of my good friends is...i guess what people would call a 'music elitist'? she's very unique and listens to old rock bands like the who and the beatles and stuff. she acts like she doesnt care what anyone thinks of her, but obviously she does or she would try so hard to be different, right? anyway, I on the other hand, am to her, the stereotypical prep. yeah, i get up and take an hour to get ready every morning, i shop at stores like AE and GAP, and i listen to pop music. whenever i give her a ride home or anything, she's always criticizing and making fun of the music that's playing, and if i go to the bathroom to fix my hair or makeup, she HAS to make a comment. i really do try so hard not to say anything to her about it. i tolerate her BLASTING the who and coldplay in my ears when i'm around her without saying anything, and i completely respect her political and religious opinions (WHICH ARE COMPLETELY OPPOSITE THAN MINE) and she doesnt. what do i do??? today i got mad and i blasted the music in the car and i kept making fun of her music, but now i feel bad. what do i do to tell her how i feel without coming off as a total b****??? Well i have this friend lets call him albert.. well okay (SORRY IF THIS IS LONG ILL RATE 5s FOR SERIOUS ANSWERS) so i have known albert since 2nd grade.. and well i need opinions on this.. okay so
1.) Albert is always flirty, touchy, smiley, etc. around me
2.) I asked his friend how he was around people he liked and he said that list above (but thats how he always is around me so im not sure)
3.) Me albert and melinda (other friend not really important) were playing in the snow.. and he always kept tackling me and throwing me in the snow and jumping one me and not letting me get up.
4.) Once i was saying about how no one liked me and stuff and he said thaat i was wrong and i told him he couldnt argue and he said he could etc.
5.) One day albert was preforming in some kind of club and he came over and was talking to me for most of the time and poking me etc. and then hugged me later on.
6.) One morning before school he came up to me and he put his arm around me (lower back not shoulder) and just stood there.
7.) Once when i was mad at him he asked all of my friends why and my one friend told me that he "flipped" out and was asking why he was mad and stuff like that
8.) He complimented me on my earings at my friends party
9.) He kind of kept moving towards me at my friends party and kept poking me and when he was sitting down he kept telling me to sit next to him.
10.) He told me that i should go to my friends party (more than once)
11.) I told him that some kid said to me i hate you you suck and he was like his life and face suck and that he hated him..
12.) He once told me if anything was seriously wrong i would be one of the first to know
13.) Once i asked him who he liked and he told me he couldnt tell me and he said his friend would tell me the next morning and his friend was like can i tell her can i tell her and he was like no.. and then he said something to him and he was like okay.. and he said some girl and then i found out he liked someone else too.. but he wouldnt tell me who that was.
WHAT IN YOUR OPINION DO YOU THINK? DO YOU THINK HE LIKES ME AS MORE THAN FRIENDS OR JUST AS FRIENDS?

it sounds like he likes you as in a girlfriend. maybe he is just shy to ask you out and is making the moves on you so that youll ask him out. it seems that he is trying to hint it out to you. you should start flirting with him and then ask him out. or if he sees that you r flirting back to him he mite see that you actually like him.

well you could throw a halloween party! those are always fun and scary! if you dont want to have a big party then you could just have a couple of friends over and watch some really good scary movies. or maybe you could just go hang out around the neighborhood with a couple of friends and take someone young out trick or treating. thats always good you could just steal their candy!lol!
