Okay, my brother just went to jail 2 days ago for being charged with Stachatory rape. Here's the story. My brother was believed to be 20 or 19 when he had sex with this girl (who was 15 at the time) they were at a party where an adult served minors with alcohol. My brother does not remember ever touching this girl. Well she got pregnant and had the baby Dec 16 2009. when the baby was 4 months old, they sued my brother for custody. but he said it wasn't his, so they did a DNA test, and it was. now the baby is 5 months pregnant and now they arrested my brother for stachatory rape. Now with the girl who is 16 now, wanted my brother in the baby's life, but the parents want him arrested, what's the consquense for my brother?? We live in Pennsylvania. (link)

Well, I don't know the full story, but considering he was 20 and had sex with a 15 year old, and they do for sure have proof, it's statutory rape.
In Pennsylvania he can get sentenced up to 20 years in prison. I hope you guy's have a good lawyer.

hi, im a 16 1/2 year old girl and i am really short for my age 4'10 and my mom is 5'3 and dad is 5'8 ,& race asian.
And since i am really short im very worried about getting a job and going into college in a few years. Anways i am looking for ways to get taller either naturally or with medications.i don't care the cost as long as it's effective. I hate not being taken seriously by my parents and my brothers and sisters. Even though my mom keeps telling me she stopped growing at the age of 19 so is it possible for me to grow till 19? or Does anyone know of any growth stimulate pills? or do you think the most effective will be taking injections?
I really don't care if my hands grow a bit bigger or w/e my doctor said.

There is no way to "grow taller." No medicines, nothing. Other than wearing really high heel shoes. Where do you live that you don't think you can get into college, or get a job?
I've got friends who are 4'10-4'11, and they are in college, have jobs, got a good life ahead of them.
DO NOT take any "pills" that claim they can make you taller. It's a waste of money, AND you have no clue what they can actually do to your body.
I don't know about the whole stop growing age, Because I've heard a few different things.
But you should accept who you are. Who cares if you aren't tall, just accept it.

Yes, I have heard it's suppose to.
Wash your hair with warm water first, then right before getting out of the shower wash with cold.
Cold water smooths the hair cuticle down and promotes shine.

hi, im 17 and my boyfriend is 27 and i know he's really old for me but ya i dated him for about 5 1/2 months things went up and down and so recently ive been really busy with school, so i couldn't meet up with him as much. I think he might be starting to realize your age a little more, and the fact you have a lot going on. School, your activities. He should man up and actually let you know whats going on. Is there anyway you can go by his house? If so, go by there and ask whats up. You deserve to know if ya'll are broken up or not.

My baby will be three and a half months old next week and he is my first. My husband and I don't want to have any more children for another 3 or 4 years, at least, and so I've been breastfeeding our little boy. My mom told me that you can't get pregnant if you are breastfeeding and that I should breastfeed for as long as I can to put off getting pregnant or having to go on birth control pills again. Then, I saw a link on some breastfeeding moms site I was looking at about a woman who got pregnant while breastfeeding her 2 month old.
Is getting pregnant while nursing common? I mean, I've been having unprotected sex with my husband ever since I was able to do it again with him, thinking that I am safe. I haven't had my first period yet since giving birth but I thought that was normal and now I'm scared I might be pregnant and that my mom was totally wrong.

Yes you can get pregnant while breastfeeding.
I don't know the chances, but I am pretty sure they are just the same as if you weren't breastfeeding.
It is common, I have a friend who has a 13 month old(still breast feeding) And she just had a baby. She breastfeeds both. And I have another friend who thought the same as your mom said, you can't get pregnant while breastfeeding.. Well her daughter is 4 months old, and shes pregnant.
It can happen. The best way to prevent pregnancy is to use condoms!
I'm sorry but your mom is wrong, and if you think there is a chance of pregnancy, you should go pick up a test and find out.

They can cost anywhere from 3,500-5,000.
Sometimes some insurances can cover them, that or the dentist usually will let you make payment plans.
I don't think there are series of them, like braces, but I could be wrong.

...and I was always one of those people who got so annoyed by all of the girls who were freaking out asking if they could possibly be pregnant... but now I guess I shouldn't have been so quick to judge. My circumstances are a little different though. You see, I have implanon, the implant thing that is inserted into your arm, which is supposed to be 99.999 percent effective, which I got last year (2009) in September. Since I have had it, I have had a continuous period, not as heavy as my normal ones, but enough that I have to use a pad everyday. But I kept telling myself that I would wait it out, everyone said the bleeding could last up to six months before it straightened out. Well, I ended up waiting seven, and just a couple weeks ago it stopped. As it was in the process of stopping, I noticed really tender breasts, more frequent urination, and somewhat of a distended stomach... even my mom said I look pregnant (joking, of course, about a small amount of weight I have gained). Now after a week the bleeding has started again and all the other symptoms continue as well, and I am kind of freaking out. I feel like I have been so responsible about this whole sex thing, and I feel like with both types of supposedly the best protection out there it would be practically impossible to get pregnant... but these symptoms have left me wondering. Anyways, I'm sorry this is sooooo long... and I know the only way to be 100 percent sure is to go get tested, but I guess I just wanted to see what you girls say first... thanks a lot in advance (link)

I mean, there COULD be a chance of pregnancy, but you are right the best way to know is to buy a test. More than likely you aren't pregnant, but to be on the safe side, I would go buy a test and take it. Good luck!

So there is this guy that I have liked for the past 5 years (i am 20 now). Me and him dated back in high school (when i was 15) and ended up breaking up because of drama with friends and never getting to see each other. We just started to hang out again about a year and a half ago (as friends) and as soon as i hung out with him again, i fell head over heels for him again. i have already told him how i feel about him and just recently he acted on it and told me a lot of things that i guess he had been holding back. well a lot of drama got started with my mother (i drove an hour and a half to see him knowing i was going to lose my car when i got home because i had no intentions of coming home until the next night) and right as i was getting ready to head home the cops showed up at his house to tell me to go home. i told him that i was completely embarrassed by what she did and he said it was no big deal. but since then, i have tried to call him and when someone picked up his house phone and heard me ask for him ... they hung up and nobody ever called me back. as i was told by my mom (who supposedly spoke with him today) he had told her that he didnt even like me and that he found me annoying and the only reason he wanted me to come see him was because i had a car and money. but some of it doesnt make sense from what he told me and his actions this past weekend. i have cried about this for hours now and dont know how else to deal with it. how do i just let him go when i like him sooooooooooooooooooo much?!?!?! i am so confused as to what im suppose to do at this point and really need help as to what i should do. I would say give it a couple days and try to call again.

hello. okay, so some background information: i've been on birthcontrol pills for about 6 or 7 months, and my last period was 3/12/10 and i havent gotten it since then. and when i do get periods their REALLY light, but my doctor said its normal for the type of bc i use (loestrin 24 fe)
anyways, im pretty sure i have a yeast infection cause all the symptoms matched up, i had white, odorless, kinda clummpy discharge and the entrance of my vagina was somewhat irritated. i havent gone to the doctor yet, my mother still has to take me...but yeah, so i had clear/white oderless discharge normal during a yeast infection, and now all of a sudden i have really yellow almost brown odorless discharge thats still kinda clumpy, so basically it looks like the discharge as before but really yellow/brown. im getting really scared : /

Well you probably do have a yeast infection.
You need to get to the doctors ASAP so it don't cause anymore harm.
Make yourself an appointment and tell your mom the day and time, or have a friend or someone take you. You need medication to help that.

My mom is the same, and I worry about her daily and I asked her PLENTY of times to stop. I even tell her that it's killing me, and how does she feel to know she kills me a little more everyday. Yet nothing.
Just keep talking to her. Does she want to stop? If so tell her to go to her doctor, they will help her.

You should just come out and tell your mom.
See how much stress it's putting on you, with just not letting her know? Let her know that you and her broke up, yes, but worked things out and are going to give it another shot.
I'm not sure I can fully understand this though, Your mom did not know that you are dating a girl, or that you both are back together?
If she don't know about either, I think just telling her would solve a lot. You can't help who you fall in love with. Just remember that. Don't let other people try and ruin your relationship. Just let your mom know how you feel. She probably is just upset that she has to hear from other people about you two. It's best you let her know.

So I have some stretch marks on my sides.. not horrible, like not at all, I mean i guess they are noticable but whatever..
I'm wondering if it would be bad if I had a tattoo over them? Like could you tell there are stretch marks there? I wouldn't recommend getting a tattoo over stretch marks. Because stretch marks are basically torn skin, and you will bleed more than normal. If you do want to though, I would recommend you to call around asking for someone who has done tattoos on someone with stretch marks. Good luck!

okay .. i'm 16/f, and my best friend is 16/m.
we met months ago and hit it off and gradually became closer; we are best friends, we love to hang out, talk, we're the first person each other texts, we love to hang out in groups together, and we basically can't get enough and i go to him for anything and vice versa. keep in mind -- this is still strictly friendship, we harmlessly flirt, it's no big deal, this is just how we were.
last night we went to a party type thing. we got dared to kiss, and him being my best friend, we were just like alright no big deal. so we kissed for 5 seconds.. and ever since, i just kept thinking about it. i didn't think anything of it for the next day or anything, we hung out and i didnt feel anything different, no emotional feelings attached, same with him..
but we were texting and talked about last night, and at first it was harmless again no emotional feelings attached, and then it got more intense.. mentioned how we could simply do it again and it wouldn't be a big deal, like on a dare again or something. suddenly my stomach began to get butterflies in them after an hour of texting.. i did NOT know where they came from.. it's been so long since i felt that, and now i'm utterly TERRIFIED of liking him. because i can not not not let our friendship go to waste.
ever since the butterflies - which began about half hour ago, currently still texting him - ive been sweating slightly and nervous, and i dont feel the same talking to him now.. i dont feel like we're just best friends, i feel the butterflies now and i feel like he's a different person..

Honestly, there isn't anything you can do to stop the feelings. Feelings are feelings, and they will happen whenever the moment is right.
I understand not wanting to ruin a friendship, but it seems like you both have a really good friendship going. That's usually how some couples meet. Being best friends at first, and then getting emotions for one another happens.
The only way to actually stop these feelings is to stop talking to him, but I know you probably don't want to do that. I don't think your friendship would go to waste. Maybe talk to him about it. You said you both can talk to each other about anything. He brought up the kiss to you first, so obviously he's in the same boat.
Maybe you both will end up having a good life together. :)
Or maybe it would be simple nothing and you two be best friends forever. You never know where life is going to take you, but don't sit back and think "what if" Because then you'll have that feeling in your stomach actually wondering "what if".

I've been dating the same guy for about 3 months now without any problems. Before him i hadn't dated anyone i just had a few crushes one of them being a country boy that i thought i could never be with he wasn't popular i just didn't grow up in the country i wore what some would call a more "punk" look but not to an extreme. I always pictured me and him getting together and me getting to live on a farm like i had dreamed well he moved out when we were Juniors and lives only a half an hour away last year for prom i saw him because he was in my group and have seen him one other time in his truck so now every-time i am in town i seem to be looking into every truck that looks similar im not sure why im looking for him when i have and love my boyfriend.
I have also been having dreams last night i had a dream where i saw him at my graduation party and somehow everyone could tell that i liked him and my boyfriend left me and the guy confessed his love to me.
