I rarely eat breakfast and I have a normal sized mostly healthy lunch and dinner. My problem is when I'm at home and have nothing to do. I eat and eat and eat. Sometimes its snacks and other times it's enough food for a meal. I also eat when I'm bored and sad. If there is anything that I eat (especially chocolate), I'll eat it. I'm trying to be healthy, but I can't control myself. A few years ago, I was the opposite. I guess I could have been considered anorexic then. Now, instead of forcing myself to eat a little, I can't stop myself from eating. I can't really talk to this with my parents because they think I'm over reacting about things. Is there anything that I could do? (link)
Go high carb, low fat, whole foods, plant-based VEGAN! It's not a diet, it's a lifestyle change. I went vegan this year and have lost 40 pounds, with minimal exercise, and eating AS MUCH as I desire bringing down my BMI from 30 to 24. I weigh less now than I did throughout high school, as an overweight teenager, even when I exercised for hours while on Junior Varsity and Varsity sports teams. I went to my annual physical earlier this month, and even my doctor was in shock.

My goal for next year is to lose 30-40 more pounds, I just need to start exercising on a regular basis. Nothing crazy, just 30-60 minutes of jogging, Ballet Beautiful, bike riding.. things like that.

I think it's amazing what I've accomplished so far, just by changing my diet, though. It's a lot easier to go vegan than it seems. I was never vegetarian, I went from being able to eat an entire box of pizza or entire tub of ice cream in one sitting to a full-fledged vegan. I now spend a lot less money on groceries, have more energy (never need caffeine, and never feel lethargic like I used to on a regular basis), have more concentration, am learning to cook, and etc. Try it for a week, that's how I started, and I felt so good that I just kept going, and it's now been 5 months! You can get every nutrient from plant foods, including protein!

The only vitamin you need to supplement is B12, and one I personally recommend is Garden of Life's B12 spray (cause I personally hate swallowing pills, and methylcobalamin is better than cyanocobalamin). You can buy it at any health foods store (Whole Foods, Sprouts, Trader Joe's, etc.), or online.

I'm 5'5" and 145 pounds, I want to lose 20 pounds but every time I try I cheat on my diet. I kept cheating and telling myself that Id just start my diet over the next day, but when the next day came I always ruined my diet. People around me are always eating junk and when I see it I have to have it and I over eat. If eat a small portion of something I crave then I will want it.
I've been on a diet for 3 days and I cheated, so I start over. How can I stop craving junk food? (link)

Hi I'm 21/f looking to go on a no/low carb diet for a week or so. Nearly all I eat is carbs. Lots of pasta and bread and sugars. Not much fruit and veg. I'm not very good at cooking and also I am a vegetarian but I don't like lentils or
Tofu etc. I will not eat any meat or fish but I will eat eggs, milk etc. I don't know where to start. I have no idea what to eat to go on this diet and google isn't helping. Can anyone give me any ideas?
Thanks so much (link)
You need carbs.

I'm not really skinny, I promise, its just everyday I have the same thing over and over and I will not change my routine. I think I tend to eat less because I'm a busy person, eating feels like a chore so I eat things that are really quick to eat. This is my diet:
Breakfast- 1yogurt + drink
Lunch- 1apple + water
Dinner- homecooked meal with the family

Is this a healthy diet? (link)
That's not enough food to live on. You need to eat a lot more than that, sorry. Weight loss is a lifestyle, not a diet.

I really really need to loose at least 10 lbs.

yesterday i had vegetable juice (i use a juicer and juice raw beats and carrots etc.) coffee with skim milk, salad with some tuna, and dinner was half a steak, i also had some grilled chicken and broccoli

today i had vegetable juice, a large coffee with skim milk, lunch was half a cup hoop cheese (sometimes called pot cheese- similar to cottage cheese but different) with some fruit, then mid day snack was 2 40 calorie vegetarian sauces with some avocado, then dinner was tuna salad and i had some of my mother steak. not a lot but a couple of bites.

i also walk as much as i can.

if i continue like this will i loose weight?

should i eat more or less or what? please help. i really really need to loose weight as soon as possible. (link)

Hey, Im 13/f and I weigh about 110 lbs. I want to loose weight, what is the easiest way how to do this? I dont look fat but most of my friends are my size and they weigh 85 or 90 pounds. So what is the easiest way? (link)
Go high carb, low fat, whole foods, plant-based VEGAN!

I love eating. I eat more than three meals a day and they're usually very big meals. In between those, I'm nibbling on snacks, like health bars or chips and dip. I've gained at least twenty pounds in the past three months or so. I really hate this and I hate eating so much, but I feel like I can't stop. I've eaten so much that I've gotten sick and vomited, then ate right afterwards.

I don't know why I do this. I just love the taste of food, the smell of it. If I'm about to watch a show on TV, even if I'm not hungry, I'll go grab something to eat just so I have something to do while watching the show (That could have something to do with my ADD). I'm not bulimic or anything because I don't enjoy puking. It's only happened once anyway. I mean, I'm not outrageously overweight. I'm 5'2', 147 lbs. Is there anyway I can get control over this? Things to tell myself to stop eating so much? (link)

Here's the thing I hate eggs and the texture of them and above all smell. It makes me throw up actually. I wish I were kidding about that. That usually occurs if I see them being whipped in a bowl. I know it's unusual but sadly that's my dilemma.

I have to lose weight as I'm overweight like there's no tomorrow. I'm starting a GYM and sticking to it. The thing is meal replacement shakes would help me and I want to use the ones designed specifically for shedding pounds.

I've tried Slim Fast and a generic brand but here's what I notice. You can't help but taste the egg and feel its texture as you're drinking the ones that come in the cans you shake before drinking. The powders also have that kind of consistency to them and in my opinion have a bit of a burning aftertaste to them.

I was hoping someone here could recommend a drink a powder or maybe a solution of things I could whip up in a blender for weight loss purposes and replacing a meal such as Lunch or breakfast. Thanks. (link)

Hi there,
I am 19 years old and I have been having binge eating problems for abouuuut 2 years now. My weight has yo yoed for a long time. I am so tired of it because it affects my whole life plus its really bad for my health. I've tried everything even intuitive eating but I keep having bad binges about 2-3 days a week. It is always on very sweet sugary foods and I feel so ashamed and embarrassed afterwards. I am not overweight because I work out so much but I know i'd be happier if I was slimmer. Absolutely nobody knows how much I struggle with this because I am so embarrassed about it. I think I need to see a counselor or something but I do not want my parents to find out (I still live with them and I am on there insurance etc.) What do I do? If I go to my doctor will they help me? Also will it be free?

Any advice would be very much appreciated,
thank you (link)

I'm a sophomore in college, living on my own. I have a really hard time making myself eat healthy. I've always been the kind of person who LOVES junk food. Sugar, fried stuff, you name it. I'm 5'3" and only 100lbs, so I'm very tiny and have never had a problem with my weight. I KNOW I can't possibly be healthy though. I work at a restaurant that sells stuff like cheeseburgers, fried chicken, french fries, etc. and I work about 60 hours a week, so most of my meals come from there. And since I work so much and go to school, I don't really feel like cooking healthy dinners when I have time to relax, so I end up getting fast food.

I eat pretty much every meal from a restaurant. It's expensive and I'm starting to notice how sickening it is. But I have no idea how I'm supposed to SUCCESSFULLY change my habits. I've tried to eat healthy before (and set realistic guidelines) and the moment I see junk food I can't stop myself. How do I develope eating habits that are inexpensive and how do I stick to it? I can drink cups of them and still fall asleep right after. I'm not very active I'm always laying down and I try getting up to dance around and be active but it doesnt last very long and then I just go back to laying down. So I dont really have any energy to do that either. So please help me! Thanks bye 15/f (link)

Did I ruin my diet eating baked hot cheetos?
I've been on my diet for a few days I was doing ok until today. I ate 3 servings of baked hot cheetos. But I didn't go over my calorie goal. I eat 1200-1500 calories a day. Did I ruin my diet? Are baked hot cheetos bad for you? (link)
Go high carb, low fat, whole foods, plant-based VEGAN!

Yes, just add fruit, too.
