Q: Everyone here has been saying "if that's how your partner (boyfriend/fiance/whatever) is then that's who you chose and you can't and shouldn't change them" ... what I'm saying is doesn't that go the same for us women? ... for example: when we started dating he knew i didn't like this or that yet he still dated me. So instead of me trying to change him or him trying to change me.. shouldn't we compromise and make changes ourselves without being asked? When you love someone, wouldn't you climb mountains to make things work?

you've described exactly why couples that stay together so long continue to get along and love each other- they COMPROMISE. it's not the same thing as change neccessarily, its about putting the other person before yourself and making them happy before you.

Q: what is the key to getting a boyfriend, and staying with him?
some might say confidence, others may say loyalty, and other important traits such as that, but im wondering, what worked for you in the past? was it just chance that brought you together or did you work on attracting a certain person by displaying confidence or whatever.
im wondering this because i havent gone out with anyone since 2 years ago, guys just dont seem interested.
thanks!

I'd say the key to staying with someone for a long time is compromise and trust. You have to be willing to accomodate that person's interests until they (most likely) become your own on some level. You have to accept them for who they are, and not EVER try to change them. Trust is a pretty big part of a relationship, be it trusting them to go out with friends and no cheat, or something deeper, like trusting their feelings for you and their honesty.
I'd say just go with the flow. Flirt, and have fun. Don't be afraid to put yourself out there, and tell guys how you feel-- "if you don't jump, you'll never know if you can fly".
Hope I helped (:

Q: Our class trip is going to Poland and Israel for two and a half weeks
we fly from chicago to Poland, Poland to Israel, Israel back to Chicago. One of the main reasons I do not want to go on this school trip is because I am scared of flights and I suffer from panic attacks. I don't want to embarass myself from getting a panic attack on the plane flights and I'm thinking of taking adenine I think it's called. But the longest plane ride I've been on was six hours and I never traveled over seas before. I need some advice how to handle this situation whether i should go or not.
And to add
How long is the plane flight from Chicago to Poland and how long is the plane flight from Israel back to chicago
And what's the food like in Poland I heard it's really bad and I am a picky eater
thank you

I took a trip overseas to England and Ireland a few weeks back, and the plane ride from Cinncinati to London was 9 hours, and from Ireland to Atlanta was about 10 I believe. On the flights we took, our plane had these touch-screen 'entertainment' tv's in the back on the seat in front of you. (We flew on Delta, and NOT in first class.) I'm not sure what your plane will have, but it'll have something of the sort, at least a TV above your heads every few rows I'm sure. They play movies, show you updates on the flight and whatnot, so that keeps you occupied.
Also, bring a book or two in your carry-on. Keep the window shut, and just sit back and read. It'll keep your mind off things. Or get a book of Sudoku's to solve or a magazine. Bring an mp3 player to listen to music. If you want, just take a couple sleeping pills before you board, and you can sleep through the whole thing.
I was really scared about the food in England and Ireland too, because I'm also an extremely picky eater. But rest assured- there will be McDonald's and Burger King's. In London they had Pizza Hut and KFC, too, haha. In Europe it seems they're big fans of wraps, pitas, and baquettes, and you can choose what you want on those, which is what I relied on a lot.
Hope I helped!

Q: Hi!
What is a conftorble (but cute) outfit to wear on a long airplane? (About six hours?)
What shoes do i wear? How do i do my hair?
Thanks.

I wouldn't worry about looking cute.
I'd wear some track/athletic pants (maybe not sweatpants) and maybe a shirt hoodie or just a plain knit shirt that matches. I'd wear tennis shoes and socks, so you can take your shoes off when you get umcomfortable.
Hair doesn't really matter. For some reason though, when I took a long plane ride last time (nine hours- yeah, it sucked), the plane's air made my hair sort of greasy-ish. So I'd just wear it up in a pony tail or low, loose pony.
I'd also take a blanket or pillow. I'd recommend getting a window seat, so you can lean over on it to sleep, while putting the pillow under your head, because the side of the plane is cold.
Hope I helped (:

all the cars advicegal gave would be really expensive.

Q: 15/f
i'm a freshman in highschool
i feel like practically everyone drinks and smokes and has sex. i don't. is that like normal to feel this way?
and my boyfriend hangs out with people who do all that stuff. it just worries me.
do you think i'll regret not doing any of this though? i mean is really as fun as people say?
this is stupid but i don't know.
i'm not going to do any of this stuff, i just want to know. thanks =]

It is true, a LOT of people in high school do these things. But I've found that the ones who don't, at least at my school, are the ones that everyone looks up to and wants to hangout with.
It's totally normal to feel like you're one of few that don't- because, sadly, you probably are. But it's awesome that you have morals and think it's dumb. It definitely is. Just today, a girl that used to go to my school (but transferred a few months ago) was incarcerated because of drugs. She is 18 and will now most likely have to do time. It seriously ruins your life.
And it definitely isn't as fun as people make it out to be. Honestly, I think it's all just a way to get attention. And what's the fun in drinking or smoking, when you don't even remember what happens half the time? These people won't be able to look back on their high school years and remember the good parts, because they won't have any memory of it hardly at all. And what kind of example is that to their kids? And as far as sex goes, teen pregnancy is NOT a fun thing. Real live babies are not the babydolls girls think they'll be.
You definitely won't regret staying alcohol/drug free, believe me- I'm a senior about to graduate in less than 2 months, and I've never tried anything of those things, and I honestly could not be more glad. (:

Q: I am a 16 year old female, I will be 17 in June. I have known my boyfriend for over two years and we have always been close even when we weren't dating. It is been four months since we have been officially dating and a month since he has asked me to marry him (I do not want to get married until I am 24 at least, and neither does he but we are now bound to each other). He is a really good guy, he does not smoke, he does not drink, and he does really well in school which is really important to me. He treats me well, and has been my best friend for the two years I have known him. My parents do not like him because he is a Christian and I a Muslim. They think when we have children, he will want to teach our kids his religion, and I will want to teach our kids my religion but the truth is, neither my boyfriend or I care for religion at all. We beleive in God but we do not think much of it. My mom said she will disown me if I marry him and it hurts to know my mom does not accept that I am happy with him.
I don't know what to do, or how to react to this other than just sit here and cry. Any advice?

You've only been dating four months- and you're already discussing marraige and a future together?
Take it from me- slow down. No matter how good of a guy he is, you never know what could happen. You're so young, and you've got your whole life ahead of you.
I've been dating my boyfriend three years in June. We have an amazing relationship, but we're seniors in high school- we know that it might not work out. We love each other and are each other's world, but we know things just might not work out in the future, since there's so much ahead.
I'd just not worry about the whole "marriage" thing just yet. I'd take time and let your parents get to know him better, and see how things go from there. (:

I have a pantech duo and i LOVE it. If you don't like complicated phones though, don't get this one. It's sort of hard to put ringtones on it and customize things. But the voice quality is great, it has a keyboard which is awesome for texting, and you can put pictures and songs on it from your computer. (:

a cute short sundress (they have millions at wet seal, if you have one close by), with hole-y jeans underneath. if you're tall, i'd go for flats. if not, some cute wedges that match. if it's still a little cool where you live, add a cute sweater and leave it open.

Q: So for precal, we have a project where we make a tshirt with a graph on the front. This graph can have any of the following on it, with their equations (ellipse, parabola, circle, hyperbola). I don't have a problem with that, but we also have the option to create a seperate picture from the shapes. I was really leaning towards this, but have no idea what picture I could make out of these shapes.
If you have any suggestions, that would be amazing.

Use different hyperbolas and parabolas to make the design of a heart (or any other shape or whatever). Overlap them whereever you need to, and the heart could be filled in with a different color than the lines and whatnot. (:

Q: I am having a party and we want a really scary movie for it. Any ideas? When we say scary we mean ones that will make us jump alot and have to cling onto another person, or ones that are so freaky that your looking around corners and everything when the movie is done. I dont really like alien or monster movies. Please dont say The Ring, The Ring 2, The Grudge, or any of the Saw movies because we've seen them all and Saw is jsut gore anyways. Thanks alot

Q: Alright, so I took the ACT today, and it was horrible. I mean, everything about it was bad. I ran out of time(so I had to guess) on every section, and the math portion was crazy hard, and I can't focus at all. I have friends in pre-calculus right now (I'll be in it next year), and they said that half the stuff on it they didn't even know what do. I bought a computer disk set for practice with the ACT and SAT, but haven't used it much cause I've been busy. But I was wondering, does anyone know any tricks to help he read faster AND comprehend the info that I read. Because that was what made me probably get most of them wrong. Any other helpful hints will be appreciated considering I'll have to retake it again anyways. :[
Thanks!

the math protions basically kicks everyone's ass, except the super brilliant ones. i can't really help there except try to use the process of elimination to help get rid of answers you know are wrong.
as for the reading, i've always been told to underline things that you know are important, and mentally note where they are in the passage. the first time i took my ACT, i didn't even get to read the last two passages and just had to fill in random bubbles. so this method really helped (on my second go at the test.. and then the third, haha).
but don't worry, next time you'll be way more prepared. i'd definitely use the practice disk you have, they really do help. most people take it 2-3 times (for me personally, third time's the charm- my score went up two points from the first two tests, where i got the same score, haha). good luck! your should get three other friends together and be KISS. wear all black, paint your faces like theirs, and get some stuff to make your hair temporarily black. you could get some skinny black jeans, tall black boots (or just black shoes), and wear maybe a black tank top and some hardocre jewelry. and tease your hair to make it big like theirs.

Q: Ok. I'm getting a laptop soon. I definitely won't be getting the most expensive one out there, but i wanted to know (i have no idea where to look or find out) which is better, mac or a PC? which brand of PC is generally better? Mac's are definitely better. They are much safer, virus wise, and even thought it may take some getting used to if you use a Windows OS right now, they are more user-friendly. Things are more neatly organized and accessible on Mac's. But, they are a LOT more expensive.
As far as PC's go, I wouldn't get a Dell. I have one, and I've had constant trouble with it. Maybe it's just my make/model or something, but others have told me theirs aren't very dependable either. But I don't have experience with any other brands, so I couldn't tell you what's better, haha. Sorry. Hope I helped some, though.

Q: Whats going on with the newer season of The Hills. I know they're supposed to show the extra episodes of Lauren's trip to Paris, but did those episodes already come on tv? If not, when are they supposed to come on?

They're supposed to start March 24th, if I'm not mistaken. I saw one of those preview things for it after an episode of the Guantlet or something one night. I'm stoked. I have no idea about Brody though. I wish I did.

hiii! i'm caroline. i'm eighteen years old, and just started my freshman year of college. i have a magificent boyfriend who i love more than anything. we've been together over three years. he's also my best friend. speaking of which, my other best friends are also pretty fantastic. another huge part of my heart is devoted to god. he's blessed me with so much more than i deserve, and even though i fall short on a daily basis, he's still there for me, every step of the way. i'm a pretty simple girl- i love anything fun, texting, being outdoors, swimming, playing soccer, frisbee, or watching football, spending time with my family, and most of all- living my life to the absolute fullest.
to be frank, i'm not going to answer your questions about girl drama or pregnancy, because i have no experience in either of those categories, nor do i want to listen to you whine about how "we didn't use a condom" or "she's such a &*^#%!!!!". however, i'm totally open to anything else. drop something in my inbox and i'll get to it pretty quick- i'm quite the net nerd (:
