I have longish hair that goes almost 1/2 way down my back. It is red(copper) and curly. I am planning on giving it to Locks of Love(a hair donating fondation that gives your hair to cancer paitants)
So i was wonder is there any way to get a new hair style, that won't make me lose too much length and still look good
(and what would it be,it would help if you gave me some pics too!)
If you are doing locks for love, they cut of 10 inches, and they cant do any less. keep that in mind. they put your hair into loose ponytail (or pigtail depending on the thickness of your hair) and they cut it right off. some short styles can be really cute. after you get it cut for Locks of love, you can get layers (my hair is really curly, but i have layers...sometimes i straighten it) sidebangs, whatever youd like.

hi, i'm fourteen and my boyfriends seventeen. we've been together for a little over a year.
i live in nj and he lives in virginia. we barely ever see eachother. so i want to send him a letter and make him a little cd with a bunch of love songs and such. and some about distance and blah blah(: he's into like alternative rock and things around that. like the pink spiders, sherwood, ronnie day, etc. the more songs the better. thank you so much

ahha i know this is early, but I want to get halloween costumes thought up of for well... halloween! i want to do a group costume this year. first of all, im a girl, starting 8th grade this fall. so im gonna get a couple of my girl friends and we'll all dress up as this cute/funny thing. originally i wanted to be the fantanas till I realized that people did it every year. i want to do something that people may not think of. something well like I've said... cute and funny! not something you'd find at partycity perhaps. like maybe something we can make out of clothes and stuff... I dont mind if we have to buy things, but I just want it to be real original and yeah.. give me tons of ideas! da more the merrier!

i eat mcdonalds like all the time and everytime i do i get the hiccups. is this just because its just something that gives me the hiccups or is it because mcdonalds is bad for me or what?
theres no doubt that mcdonalds is bad for you. i dont think the food is giving you the hiccups. but you should stop eating it all the time if you want to be healthy.

i was at field hockey tryouts and a field hockey ball hit me really hard on my big toe. at first it wasn't bruised but everyday it keeps getting worse (more purple/blue-gross right?) it is just my toe nail not my actual toe. will my toe nail fall off? i'm really scared if that happens. what do i do? what should i put on it?
The same thing happened to me, sort of. I'm a dancer and i had a bad pair of pointe shoes, and they caused my big toe nail to turn purplish. Gross. It took a long time (close to 6 months!) for it to heal. It eventually just grew out. I don't know how bad your bruise is, so im not sure if it will be like mine. However, if it does fall off (and it would have to be pretty bad for that to happen) it should grow back.

i'm a 14/f entering 10th grade.
i play a sport every semester, which means i'm busy everyday after school till around 6. even later on game nights.
i really need a job though.
i hate asking my parents for money.
i would like to earn it by getting a job.
i would be really busy during the week especially cuz i'll be getting home late.
i could work during the day on saturday and sunday.
besides babysitting, what job can i find that will give me a weekly pay?
The only job i can come up with is a camp counselor, like for the summer. Then, there is babysitting, or maybe even tutoring during the school year.

15/f. ever since I was about 2 years old, I had the horrible habit of sucking on my lower lip. It just used to go automatically in my mouth...and I would suck on it until my dad or mom told me to stop. Now, as I'm turning 16 soon, I still do it. It's like..uncontrollable. Well, now I have a problem. As I check myself in the mirror, I notice a white spot on my lip..( on the the inside of my mouth ) my mom told me it's like a ...like the opposite of a blood clot, I guess...and that that part of my lip could fall off. Is there any way to get rid of this habit and to save my lip? lol

I guess this is kind of like people who bite their nails. My friend did that, and she used to put that bad tasting nail polish type stuff on her nails. You could try putting lemon juice on your lip.

What things can i do when taking myspace pictures with my friend. like ive kissed her on the cheek,wrote stuff on my hand, post it notes, stuck out my tongue, scrunched my face, danced,pretended to take a picture of her with my hand, opened my mouth-like as a shock, peace sign,shapes with hands-heart,circle,ect, blew a bubble, and smiled, sad face.

blow bubbles, get a picture of you jumping in the air (into a pool, or on a trampoline) a mirror shot. or my cousin did this: she found a picture of her and her friend from like 10 years ago, and they did the same pose and posted both pictures.

I've been bored all summer. And I start school in August! I don't wanna have a sucky summer! Can anybody give me advice on what to do for the rest of the summer? Something fun, exciting, adventurous?! ASAP!
Have a huge camp out with your friends, go kayaking, parasailing, canoing, jet skiing, or water skiing.
OR
For a different kind of adventure, change your look. Cut or dye your hair.
Or try to set a world record. haha.

I woke up with a sore throat on monday morning, and i figured it was from sleeping with my mouth open or something, but as it got later i couldnt even swallow by 11 at night. I woke up that morning crying because my ears were throbing and my throat and glands were so swollen. I went to the doctors and they put me on zithromax or something but its not hellping after 2 days, I almost have to brace myself when i swallow. My glands are so swollen my neck looks bigger than normal, and i have a fever. I have no appetitte. I have no idea what is wrong with me but i have been non stop crying nothing is helping me.
You never asked for advice, so i dont know what to say.
To help ease the pain in your throat, try hot tea with honey.

No, he's not too old. It might seem like it while youre still in high school, but my aunt married a man 15 years older than her.
If he likes you, start talking to him. Don't act slutty. Just be yourself. Smile a lot, and laugh at his jokes. If things go weel, ask him if he wants to hang out sometime :)

ok, well i'm REALLY bad at showing my personality at first,i'm mostly shy until you gett to know me. soo, my semi-friend is asking me to hangout with her on saturday(sleepover) but idon't know,because i'm scared its not going to be fun and i'll bore her! i'm not good with just hanging out with one other person, how do i get out of my shell? should i go? any tips on this?

You should definitely go! This is a chance for you to show her who you really are. If you think things might get boring, bring a movie. But don't worry, as the night goes on, you'll start to come out of your shell. Don't be scared. Even though its only one on one, it'll be a chance to get to know her better, too. She asked you to sleepover, which obviously means she likes you. (as a friend, haha.)Good luck!

me and my substitue teacher are really close friends. hes bout 40 and im 16. he is in the military and also does security at the mall and i visit him everday. he helps me with all my problems and is known around the city. all the kids love him. hes drivin me and my friends home a few times and he knows my mom. hes goin away to iraq soon and asked me if i wanted to go get chinese food on tuesday. weve been plannin this for a while and i have no problem with it. he knows i lvoe to drink and he jus recently asked me what kind of alcohol i want cz hes gunan get me some so i can dirnk. i kno its weird, but i am very close with him and he is leavin and i want to get suttin to eat. im jus wondering if i shood drink or not. i dont think he would everrrr try anything cz he knows my mom and is known around the town, and he busts drug dealers and works with the cops. please let me kno if u think i shood drink or not.
