you should tell the other people that you are happy when you are around him, and that looks arent everything

Hey. I'm thirteen/female and my friend Jill invited me to go to her birthday party. I moved away from the town she lives in when I was in fourth grade, but I go to these parties every year. See, this year, I want to go, and see all my old friends, but I'm nervous about meeting the new people Jill has become friends with. What should I do? And it's a sleepover party, and calling to go home at a sleepover would be kinda, idk, just like, not our age type thing to do. Should I go and see if I have a good time [ I usually do], or not go and save myself possible nervousness?

last year i was in the same problem
i met my friend at this summer camp we went to, and she invited me to her sleepover birthday party with a bunch of people i didnt know

what i did was, i didnt intrude too much on their conversations, since i didnt know them, i sat on the side and talked a little bit
it may not sound like good advice, but it would be kind of weird if you asked her new friends what they were talking about whenever they opened their mouths

and for the sleepover part, it wasnt really a problem for me, because i got to know the girls a little and it was pretty much fine

and if you seriously have to call home, try and explain to your friend that you feel really weird being there, and if she doesnt believe you, maybe try telling her that you have this huge project due in the next couple of days that you forgot about

Ok, Well About 2 Months Ago I Started Cutting Myself(Dont Wory I Stoped 4 Good) And I Told My Friend, And Then The Next Day She Comes To School And Shes All Like Look I Cut Myself Too. k, im in 9th grade and i have to wake my 8 year old brother up for school and he never gets up when i tell him to. what can i do to make him get up the first or atleast the second time i tell him too? he has an alarm clock but it doesn't wake him up so i do it.

if you want to be funny (to you), heres what you do:

the night before, put a bunch of marbles in the freezer, that way when you wake up, they'll be frozen, next go to his room and take off the covers and put the marbles on the bed
they will all roll towards him and be freezing, they will be wherever he moves

okay well tonight my boyfriend was at my house

PLEASE READ THIS! Ok, I am a teen-ager now, and I've never had a boy-friend. But, for four years now, I've liked this boy. He's best friends with my best friend (whose a boy too). Lately my friend (whose a girl) and I have been hanging out with him and this other boy. They're SO funny together, and I really, still like him. But, at the end of the year I've decided to tell him how I feel. But, lately my best friend who moved a while ago has been trying to set me up on blind dates. But, I refused because I like the boy I've like for so long. But one day she called me and told me how someone in her class saw my picture and liked me, and wanted to go out with me. So she called me and I refused to go out with him. But she said that we could just hang out and shell be there. Also, he sounds cute, and she thinks he is. But I REALLY REALLY REALLY like this boy, and he's in my class, AND his locker is right next to mine. Should I go out with the boy my friend said, or just keep with this boy I've liked for four years.

ps. He's my first thought when I wake up, my last thought of the day, and I've NEVER felt this way about ANYONE! but i don't know if he likes me, but my friends always bring him up in conversations.

whenever you are sitting with your guy friend and the boy you like, make an effort in the conversation
dont just sit back and listen, try and be funny and put in your share of talking
im sure a guy would like you more if you made him laugh too
im not sure howmuch you talk when you all are together, so im just guessing
try and laugh at what he says, even if you dont think hes that funny, but dont make it too desperate
make small talk with him at his locker

and about your friend, you should tell her that it bugs you that she keeps setting you up on blind dates
since you havent met that guy yet, see what could happen with the guy you really like, and if its not going in the direction you want it to, give the other guy your friend wanted to set up with you a chance

Ok..the past month i have not hung out with any of my friends. I used to hang out with them every weekend. Like we would have bonfires..go out to eat..go to the movies. But now all of my friends have serious boyfriends. Im talking to a guy but i dont want anything serious with him. I want to hang out with my friends again. Any advice on this?

something similair to that happened to me last year
me and my 2 best friends would hang out, and then this girl got in on their lives and they completely deserted me

i was extremely depressed for a whole year, but now they are friends with me again and its all ok

but maybe what you should do is ask them to go to the movies or something
maybe plan a sleepover, unless youre too old for that
just let them see that you are trying to make an effort to do something with them, and they probably will do something with you, but sometimes you just have to wait it out

why cant you do it?
if you have all the songs right there, you might as well just let it do what it wants to do, and put all the songs back on

ok i live with my dad, i havn't started my period yet, and i just turned 13 yrs old so i'm at the age where i'll be "changing" well i cant bring up the subject with him because its extremely awkward.... but one day my mom got a pack of 36 pads, a little box of tampons, and razors (cheap). she just gave me the bag and said if i had any questions i could ask her, but I'M NOT GONNA ASK HER. that would be extremely awkward as well and dont tell me to just say it and be honest! kuz i won't do that. i just shave my under arms and niether of my parents know so i can't shave my legs. but i was wondering if i could open a pad and see wat it is like fot a second than put in bak in the the paper package thing it came in, then use it for when i do get my period. and if yall have anything else that yall could tell me, i would sure appreciate it.

you shouldnt take the pad out of the plastic thing that goes on it, if you put it back, it may not stick and it will look all lumpy, and more noticeable, try putting it at the very back of something

and the thing about your dad, i live with my mom and my dad
so maybe i dont have it the same but its similair
when i first started, i told my dad that i had started my "condition" and he pretty much got it lol
if you have a sister, maybe ask her

So there is this guy in my 4th Period class: lets call him 'Mark'. So Mark has the most amazing smile and breath taking eyes. I think I do like him, he seems different from all the other guys, more calm and layed back but heres the catch -we never talk. But I really wish we could. I'm not great at conversation starters or getting guys attention. What can I do to snag his attention then?
We always make eye contact and I think we always catch eachother staring at one-another. Its cute but I want to move on to something else. What can I say/do? i think you shouldnt try and push it too fast since you never talk
maybe if you catch him staring at you, hold his gaze, smile, and look away
that might make him think youre interested
and when you walk past him in the hall, look at him, even when he walks past you

try and talk to him a little bit, dont just push conversation on him all at once, gradually get it bigger and bigger, it wont make you seem too desperate

Hey! well my birthday is coming up in May and I'm undecided whether to get the hot-pink ipod nano or the SanDisk Sansa e250 2 GB MP3 Player. I mean the SanDisk has more features and is at a cheaper price, but I've been hearing some cons about it. idk, what do you guys think?
