There is this girl Amanda at my school. She is one of my really good friends. But sometimes I think otherwise. When girls usually go to school they try and get all "dolled up" for the guy they want to impress. I get all "dolled up" so Amanda wont tell me that I don't look good or that my hair looks bad. Is she a real friend or not? What should I do?

we've gotton together and dated...currently we are best friends...and hes been playing the field (like every typical teen boy)....we hang out and talk non-stop....he still puts his arms around me..hugs me..kisses me on the cheek sometimes..affection is definently there.
i wish we were together.
i love him to death...today he said he loved me..but it was just as friends when we were hanging out.
he doesn't want a relationship right now so i'm not going to tell him how i feel just because i know that is a bad idea.

ok, i have a thin body, like a really thin waist, but i have reallyyy big hips and a big butt...which is nice to a certain extent, but i want my hips and upper thighs to be a little thinner...any exercises anyone knows of that are good? (link)

Im sry i dont know any exercises but i am telling you you should be proud of having a big butt and hips. you can do some cool dance moves with big hips. my hips are really small. READ MINE ITS CALLED...CAUGHT UP.

1) How can I decide what college I want to go to? I know I have to apply to a few, but, you know how everyone has there heart set on one, how can I pick one for me?

My dad smokes. I try to make him stop by saying "please stop smoking dad" or "you should quit" or cough really loud when he lights up a cigarette. DAMN IT, I FUCKING HATE THE SMELL! He smokes when hes in the bathroom, i just hate it. When i cough and stuff around him he'll be like OH SHUT UP, YOU SHOULD BE USED TO IT ALREADY or YOUR OVERREACTING. and id be like, havent you ever heard of second hand smoke dad?? he doesn't care.. i mean hes a good dad but he needs to stop. i dont think he'd do that nicotene patch or gum thing. When i tell my mom about it, she'd be like, get used to it, or she'd do nothing about it. What should i do? (link)

ok so i have this friend john and i like him. there was a dance on friday and since alexia (my friend and his ex girlfriend) couldn't go she asked erin (another friend) to see if i danced with john. And i did just 1 little slow dance. And then l8ter at the dance erin was talking to him while i was dancing and then for the rest of the dance he was like avoiding me. i am wondering was he just trying to protect me from alexia getting mad at me, (she would get mad even if we talked) or was he avoiding me because he didn't want to be around me? I have been working so hard in school. and my mom wont let me do anything! i have worked my butt off, and all she will let me do is work more! She expects me to read books in one day, yet she doesnt believe i can write an essay in one hour when i am determined to go to a play with my friends! I am getting so tired, i have had so much pressure on myself i feel like i am going to crack under it! PLEASE help me! what do i do!? I am pratically being grounded from a life! Even though its winter vacation she wont let me do hardly anything now either! She went shopping today right after i woke up..so i didnt wanna go, becuz i had just woken up..and she was lke. I'm fifteen years old, and I'm about 5'3. I'm not overweight, but I'm on the verge of it, and it most definitely wouldn't hurt if I shed a few pounds. When I'm home alone or just out with friends, I'm fine as far as resisting bad food goes. The problem is...my mom- and the rest of my family. My mom is ALWAYS buying junk food and tempting me with it. When we go to McDonalds and I say that I just want a bottled water and a salad, she'll order an extra thing of fries because she knows I'll eat it. My question is...How can I resist this with out my family thinking I'm anorexic? They won't understand if I simply explain that I want to lose a few pounds because like I said, I'm not overweight yet. Any ideas would be great. Thanks. (link)

i kind of went through the same thing. i had this friend and i told everyone that i liked him and then all of a sudden he stopped talking to me. so we are sort of friends now but i have learned to keep some of my feelings to myself. do the same thing

figure out if you really like him and then if you do tell him he doesn't need to buy you fancy gifts to get you to like him. but if you dont tell him that you dont' like him.

I have an oral presentation to give on monday (it's powerpoint) and i'm terrified... like this is one of my biggest fears ever. Whenever i go to give a speech or something my voice starts really quivering and shaking and it sounds like i'm crying. you just have to go up there and not care about what anyone thinks. just really try that because as long as you're comfortable with yourself then they will be comfortable with you. RATE ME..

I'm a teen girl going through puberty and my private has losened up. I never had sex before so it couldn't have "stretched" that way. Also, around the edges of the viginia it's turning a dark tan color. What is this and is it normal? Also, are there any exercises i can do to tighten it up?

ok so i am 13 years old and i have been since november 16. I am really self concious about my breasts because like all my friends are a size A and i dont even think if i am a size AA (i've never tried one though) I mean when you read this you might think that i actually have breasts but they are small. But i acutally really dont. I have only 2 small like bumps when i look at myself in the mirror. and when i look at myself from the side in a mirror it is literally flat. nothing sticking out. And i have had my period since July. please help! (link)
