What are some cute shirts from places like hollister or abercrombie? I dont want really expensive ones. I just need more shirts since its getting a little colder out and I haven't gone shopping in a while. Thanks. (link)
|
Go to the stores and look in the clearence section. They don't have clearence online, so I can't give a specific example, but I've gotten shirts on clearence for 10$ and bottoms for just 20$.

Is it usal for it to start heavy?? (link)

Its different for everyone. As long as you arent bleeding extremely heavily (soaking thru thick pads/super tampons within an hour or two), your normal.

i ripped off my tips
and now my nails are absaloutely destroyed.
not like i wasnt expectin that but i just need to know what to do to make em better
thanks (link)

Yeah, I've done that numerous times. You can dry lotions, moisturizers, buffs, and cuticle creams, but really you just have to let your nails grow stronger. I know Sally Hansen has a polish thats for strengthening nails that may work.

I LOVE the designs of Givenchy and Christian Dior and classic Chanel (Not Chanel Madmoiselle). Does anyone know where I can get similar products at better prices. I'm no millionaire, but Givenchy has to be my favorite old Hollywood designer. I love the work in "Breakfast at Tiffany's". I just can't afford $1000 dresses. Any help? (link)
|
I was browsing the givenchy website and I do suggest going to macys or just a department store, they'll have the basic black/brown pieces, jackets, blazers, etc.
Donna Karan has a similair look, though its less bulky and more free formed/baby doll.
Go to thrift stores, salvation army, vintage places, etc. You'll be suprised with what you find!

ok so me and this girl have had some friendship problems lately, so we may have said a couple mean things to eachother lately. well all the sudden i have her mother leaving me messages on my fone saying LEAVE MY DAUGHTER ALONE, and all this other crap. im kinda scared to bump into her. what do i do, she;s kinda crazy!@!@ (link)
|
Talk to your parents and let them know, but just Ignore it. By not feeding her anger, she won't have anything else to say. If she comes up to you in person and makes verbal threats, then it's time to take action. Let a trusted adult handle the mother, because it is never okay for an adult to harass a child.
If you bump into her, be polite and try to get out of the area. It's really all you can do.

So, the other day I was getting my nails done and the woman was from a different country - she was asian, which is really common...but she said something and I COULD not understand her at alll. I asked a few times, "What? I dont understand." But she got kind of mad and I felt terrible because she was obviously trying really hard. She repeated herself like 8 times and I still did not understand. Just wondering what I should do in the future? Is there some kind of etiquette you should use when getting your nails done? (link)
|
I understand how you feel, and it's really no ones fault. It happens a lot, actually. All you can do is ask her to repeat herself, and excuse the misunderstanding. Try things like...
"Pardon me?"
"Say that again?"
"I'm sorry, I don't understand."
"Could you speak up?"
"Could you speak slower?"
You can eliminate this problem by finding a manicurist you like (and can understand) and book appointments with them.

There was this hair brush i saw when i was at my friends house . It looked like a straightener, But it wasn't. Meaning, it opened and closed like a striaghtener and inside there were brush bristols (it didnt have a cord )and it would help make your hair straight whilee you are blow drying it. We were doing our hair and i tried it out and it worked really good ( it works better on wet hairr ) I want it for christmas but i dont know where she got it and how much it is.
Can you please give me brand names? stores? prices? pictures? websites? of where i can find this brush. Thankss a lot ! :] (link)

Mine's Goody I believe and it's not to hard to find. You can probably get it at walgreens, cvs, walmart, or target. I got it from walmart, I think. It was relatively cheap, I dont think I spent more then five bucks on it.

should i get my eyebrows waxed or threaded? i hear waxing hurts and i have no clue what eyebrow threading (indian style) is.. or if it hurts or whatever. and how long will it last until i have to pluck or get wax/threading again? thanks (link)
|
Waxing really doesnt hurt as much as you think it would. It's easy and quick, its more like a shock then any pain. Threading is there they wrap thread around a eyebrow hair and pull it out. Both are pulling the hairs out, threading just takes longer. Depends on how fast your hair grows, but it could last for 2 weeks or more.

well, the title says it all. guys don't find me attractive. don't get me wrong, i'd know if i was hideous, but i'm not. all my girl friends say i'm gorgeous, but guys just don't. i have like big boobs and stuff and i'm pretty thin i have pretty clear skin, i'm kinda pale but i don't know what it is. can someone give me an explanation on why or how i can fix this?
ps. i'm really outgoing and flirty with guys... usually. but i recently moved so i kinda lost my flare. (link)
|
Guys don't usually call girls "gorgeous" or "beautiful". It's just not in their language. And if they know you, they won't just say "your hot." If your worried about being pale, you can easily get a spray on self tanner.

what is oral sex (link)

if that didn't explain it well enough, oral sex is oral (using ones mouth) to pleasure a sexual "organ" (the vagina or penis).

Okay, i have blackheads on my nose and on my chin and on my hair line, they are really annoying.
ive tryed biore pore strips and ive tryed like everything, is there anything that actually works? (link)
|
blackheads are extremely tricky (i have them myself) you can pop them but that only makes them spread (trust me, they really do spread all over.)
you can get an extracting tool, like dermatologists use, or try a scrub. most likely the area with blackheads is oily, so try getting a product that eliminates oil.

i lived in nc for a long time then i moved to pa. i recently came back down and all my friend told me how much weight i had lost. i thought it was really strange because i thought i had gained alot of weight. is it just in my head that i project myself as being heavier like when anorexic people look in the mirror and they see someone who's like 100 pounds heavier than they actually are? (link)
|
don't worry about it...i changed schools and when i went to visit my teacher she said i looked a lot thinner when i had thought i gained a lot of weight...you probably just got taller and thinned out.

How old do you have to be to join Curves? (link)

My mom wanted me to join with her (they had a mother-daughter promotion) and I'm fourteen, so I think you just have to be a teenager and responisble (and able to safely) use their equiptment.

I need to go to Tabor Academy (Marion, MA). I have the smarts and everything I need to get into the school. Except for the funds. I do not come from an Ivy League school background. My mom's a real estate agent, and my dad is a small developer. They don't make more than $80,000 a year. Tabor costs 26 grand, and my parents just can't afford it. They want me to go to the local Catholic school, but I'm not Catholic and I really want to go to an elite school. There's financial aid available, but I don't know how much it gives for help. Would I have to repay it afterwards? I'm so disappointed that I wouldn't get into the school of my choice just because my parents can't afford it. Are there scholarships or grants availble for high schools? Many thanks to all advice. (link)
|
You do not have to pay financial aid back. You could look into scholarship oppurtunities (there are many things, use your talents. art, writing, sports, etc. many organizations have scholarships for such things.)
I looked up the website and it says 28 percent of students are on financial aid.
http://www.taboracademy.org/admissions_financial-aid.asp
Under the Financial section:
$3,185,400 total scholarship, assistance, Elizabeth Taber awards
Do some research, usually schools will say how much money they have alotted for aid. You could also look into taking out a loan. Just do some research and be positive.
Good Luck!

ok my boyfreind is 24 and he really really stinks. We have been together for 2 years and i knew when i got with him that he had a strong body odor. And its not like its just a problem that he tries to correct. Sometimes ... this is gross ... but he will go 2 3 or 4 weeks without showering. We work together and our boss talks to him about it every week (im surprised they haven't fired him) and they have recently gave up talking to him and come to me. So did the woman he babysits for. Its really imbarassing. He does have some mental problems so what are some ways i can get him to bathe regularly? and is there any good over the counter deodarent that can cover up strong pit odors he could tries? any help would be appreciated! (link)
|
You have to be honest about it. Tell him that his personal hygiene is affecting his career and personal life. Don't upset him, just let him know the truth. You could try to encourage him to bathe by doing it with him.
As for deoderants, I would try the medicated ones. There are some you can get with a perscription and others you can get in the drugstore that are strong.

I am going out of town for Thanksgiving, and will be on a four-hour, roundtrip flight. My dog is about 18, very, very old...to the point where he'll probably have to be put to sleep within the next few months. But anyway, when he was younger we left him with friends while on vacation, but he's so old that he'll need very special care. My parents and I disagree over what we should do with him...
They want to take him with us on vacation, and put him in a pet carrier. But I am afraid that he is far too old for that, and that something might happen to him while we're in the airplane.
I wanted to have the animal hospital take care of him, but again, he is very old so he needs special attention.
Any ideas on what to do with our dog? If you have a really old and fragile dog, it'll help
Thanks (link)
|
Airplane trips can be very stresssful for animals, especially of that age, I really think it's best to put your dog in a kennnel or "animal hotel". If you leave them instructions, they will make sure your dog has the proper care. If you must take your dog with you, I suggest using something to calm him down (your vet can give you medication) and making sure the air line staff know about his needs.

I'm afraid I may be having panic or anxiety attacks.
I'm not sure though.,. It usually happens at home, once a week, or once every two weeks. I feel like I'm choking, and I have to work to breathe, I'm usually crying, though not always, and my chest will hurt, but not to the point of it being unbearable. My stomach usually will feel as if its "lurching" or idk, like on a roller coaster when you feel as if you've lost your stomach, that feeling. That's mostly all that happens, and it usually happens after my brother and I fight, I mean physically fight, or my grandmother and I get in an argument. Though it did happen once when I was frightened at night because of a scary movie I had seen, and once more when I thought about the future and my life. If I miss a lot of school and think about all the work I have to make up then I will feel as if my throat is closing and have to work to breathe, but I never lose my breath completely. I'm just looking for help on what is happening to me, and how to prevent it. Sorry for the length. (link)
|
Anxiety attacks happen to everyone, but they shouldnt occur often or at that level of intensity. It's possible you have an anxiety disorder. It's true only a doctor can diagnose you, but symptoms are pretty clear. I suffer from it myself with similar symptoms. I haven't seekend medical attention though, Im trying to work on it myself (don't want to become dependent on medication). Do whatever is right for you and please don't be afraid to be proactive with your health; I am and I suffer for it.

I'm going to a sweet 15 party. I've never been to one or a dance, so I need hair & makeup help!
I'm going to borrow my friend's green dress:
http://i16.tinypic.com/853g8b8.jpg
I haven't tried it on but we have a similar body so I'm assuming it would look okay. I have dark brown wavy hair past my shoulders. Brown eyes. I don't have a curling iron, just a straightener. Should I go for a natural look or something? (link)
|
Sounds fun! Seeing as it's your first dance type thing, I'll give some extras...
I suggest you try on the dress as soon as possible-if you don't, you may end up having to wear a dress that doesnt fit you. The dress is simple, so I think some accesories will make it look great. You could go "mod" and wear a head band (that matches the color of your shoes) and straighten your hair, or you can get your hair curled. Both would look great!
http://www.laurenconrad.com/
she wears headbands all the time, maybe you could get some ideas from her. If you wanted an easy hair style, you could part your hair on the side and pull it in pony tail (low or high works) and leave your natural wave in. If you want some sparkle, there are hair sprays you can get (designed for your hair color) that will bring out your natural highlights and make your hair shine :)
Metallic accesories would go nicely with your dress.
I'm guessing your wearing heels? If you do, I suggest buying pads (they come as whole soles, or just toe pads or heel pads with sticky bottoms) because your feet will start to hurt. Or you could just bring a pair of socks in your purse. By the end of the dance most of the guests will be out of their shoes guarenteed. (a lot of parties I've been to have actually given out personalized socks for dancing)
Okay so I gave a lot more advice then needed :P
Have a great time!
