Well, you should always read the directions before you put one in. Ok, first you just open the wrapping around the tampon. Then you just put your two fingers on the holding grip and bend down a little and stick the tampon in your vagina. Once your fingers touch the skin down there, take your pointer finger and push the end thing so the tampon can slide in your vagina. It might hurt for a little bit but it won't hurt afterwards.
