On the bottle of one of my eye cleaning solutions, the expire date says 03/2008, which is just march 2008. Would you say it's due at the beginning of march or the END of march?
I would assume the beginning of March, but it's not going to rot your eyes or anything so if you can't get a new bottle before the end of the month it's not a big deal.

At school, we are doing something called "Dancing with the Teachers." It's like Dancing with the Stars, but it's students dancing with teachers. The profits are to help students go on a mission trip to Jamaica.
My partner is my favorite teacher. He is 49/m. This is all just for like .. fun. So it doesnt have to be hardcore.
I am a dancer. Over the years I've done acro, tap, jazz, ballet, pointe, lyrical, modern, and hip hop.
My Question: What kind of dance should I do with him? It can be anything. Any type of ballroom isnt out of the question because my aunt is a professional and could make us a routine.
Funny story, but my school does something like this too.
One of my favorite styles of dance is swing dancing (and it always seems to win our little competition). It's fun, easy, and looks cool. Since your aunt's a pro, she will probably be able to teach you, but if not, it's easy to learn from Youtube videos. There's a basic step, and from there you can just make crap up and it looks alright. Here's a video:

You don't have to do crazy aerial stunts to make it cool- the stunt around 1:19 is easy and looks cool too. Good songs to swing dance to are: "Sing Sing Sing" by Benny Goodman, "Go Daddy-O" by Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, "Jump, Jive, and Wail" by Brian Setzer, "Zoot Suit Riot" by Cherry Poppin' Daddies, and even "Candyman" by Christina Aguilera (even though it's not a swing song).
My second favorite style of dance is the cha-cha. Here's a video... it's in a different language but it's a pretty good instruction video even if you turn the sound off :)

It kind of depends on his abilities too. If he can tap dance like Fred Astaire, then a Fred and Ginger routine wouldn't be completely out of the question. Try to pick a style that is fun and would impress the audience. Good luck :)

Try to join diverse clubs, and volunteer organizations look AWESOME on your transcript. We have a Zonta club at my school (for girls) and we do things throughout the community, like serve food at a homeless shelter, play bingo with old people at retirement homes, etc. If your school has one, it would be great to join it, and if your school doesn't, it would be even better if you could get a sponsor and start one.
As far as being diverse, you need to have good grades of course, but if you can also play sports, play a musical instrument, join a foreign language club, start your own club, win awards, become valedictorian, etc. then that will make you stand out way more. It's not just about SAT scores, though if you kick butt on the SAT it will look great too. I know of valedictorians that did not get into Harvard, Yale, or Stanford because they had the grades but not the extracurriculars. So extracurriculars are very, very important!

hi, my bffs dad shot himself thursday and the wake is monday and the funeral is tuesday. can someone explain to me what you do at a wake and funeral, whats the difference? i have never been to either one and i never had someone in my life die before and im worried i wont be able to handle it or something like that. im a strong person, but im not good with helping people with there sad emotions. any advice at all would be appreciated!
I'm sorry to hear about that. A wake is like a "viewing", sort of... since he shot himself, it will most likely be closed casket. It's generally at a funeral home, and you go in and sign the guestbook, and then there's a room where there are pictures of him and his family, and his casket is in the room too. I had a friend who shot himself (accidentally, too... very sad) and that's what it was like. You don't really talk very much at a wake. Just try to be there physically for your friend. I can't imagine what she must be going through. The funeral is at a church. You sit in a pew and then they bring his casket in. They talk about his life, pray, and stuff like that. Then, you leave, and they take the casket to the cemetery where there is a burial. Most people have a private family burial. Don't worry about being a strong person or not- mourning is okay. Just be there to hug your friend when she needs it, or to listen to her if she wants to talk. I don't think she'll want to talk about it for a while though. And when she does talk about it, there's nothing you can really do to make things better for her... except for listening to her and giving her a shoulder to cry on. Mourning takes a long time, especially when it's someone close to you. I hope things turn out okay.

From the picture, it looks like your hair is relatively dark. I have a friend who has short-ish, slightly darker hair, and she got a chunk of hair bleached and then dyed BRIGHT pink, like this color:

Anyway, it looked AWESOME. It really stood out and it was so cool. The part of her hair she got dyed was on the side of her head, kind of above her ear but not at the front of her head. I think that if you wanted to darken up your hair a little bit and then add in the pink that it would look really awesome. The only problem is that she got in trouble with the school and had to have it dyed back to normal. Other than that, it was cool.

She's definitely not following the "chicks before dicks" rule. You should bring it up to her. Just be like, "It seems like you're ignoring me and your other friends to spend all your time with Steve, which sucks. You're being rude by ignoring my calls. It makes me feel like you don't want to be my friend, and I would not ever do that to you. I just wanted you to know that, and you need to figure out what you want to do."
Chances are (and I don't want to sound mean), in a very short time, she and this guy will be over anyway. That's what generally happens when a girl gets so attached to a guy. It goes too fast and it becomes too much so it ends. And when it does end, she will come running to you. I've experienced this way too many times before with my own best friend.
The best advice I can give you is: don't wait around for her. When she and this guy call it quits, she will still want to be your best friend. For now, chill out on the calls and stuff, and if she calls you, don't feel like you have to call her back right then. Once she and Steve break up or whatever, things will be back to normal.

I agree that she's making a big deal out of nothing, but some people get really uptight about people getting into their stuff. I'm like that too. If I was getting into a lot of fights with my friend, I would probably be kind of miffed if she got into my stuff and took gum from me. I wouldn't be completely angry about it, but it's kind of crossing a line if she's the kind of person to make a big deal out of everything (which it sounds like she does). Anyway, I know you don't want to say you're sorry, but sometimes the best thing to do in a situation, even if you believe that you're 150% right, is to apologize. You don't even have to directly say sorry about actually taking the gum. You can say, "Hey, Maggie, I'm really sorry that it made you angry when I took your gum, and I want to put this behind us and be friends again." To me, that's like saying that you're upset that she's upset but it's not completely lying because obviously it's not saying sorry for the act of taking the gum. Buy her some new gum, too. That might fix things. It's probably not going to help if you tell her that she's making a big deal about nothing because technically you did break into her locker and steal her stuff, but if something else happens in the future that she makes a big deal out of then you can say something about it. For now, just grin and bear it if you want your friend back. In my opinion, it's okay to lie when you're apologizing if it means that you'll no longer have someone really mad at you. i have been going tanning for about two weeks, once every 2 or 3 days....i dont use lotion.
today when i went tanning after i noticed that my legs were realyl splotchy...like some parts were super tan and then other spots werent so tan
idk why my legs are like that...is it because i dont use tanning lotion?
I've had that problem too when I haven't used tanning lotion. Next time, try using lotion- but a lower SPF if you really want to tan a lot. It would be better for your skin too because tanning without a lotion is not very good for you. I know a girl who tanned without lotion or oil or anything and her skin like, turned red and cracked. It was gross, but it could have been prevented.
Hi I am 17 female and I am going to get my wisom teeth taken out in a couple weeks. They are still under the gums and they are going to have to cut open my gums in order to get them. I'm going to have laughing gas and then they will give me some shots in my gum. I just wanted to know what it was like and how much pain you felt? So if any of you have had them taken out please give me some advice on what it is like. Thank you soo much!
I had mine taken out a few months ago, and mine were still under the gums like yours are. To tell you the truth, the actual surgery part was awesome because I love laughing gas. I don't remember a single thing about it though. It felt so cool... my mom was trying to get me into the car and I said, "Hey, can I go do that again?"
The only inconvenient part is not being able to eat solid food. After a day or two I could choke down solid food, like a sandwich, if I tore it into pieces. Your doctor should give you some Vicodin, which is also really good stuff. I did it over a long-ish weekend and I was able to go back to school within a few days. It wasn't bad at all- I just had to eat yogurt and soup, which sucked. A big, big thing that you will have to deal with is rinsing your mouth with salt water- you don't want to get food particles stuck in there because it could make your mouth hurt really bad. They should give you a little squirty thing that will help you rinse.
A lot of people talk about the swelling and stuff, but I didn't really swell at all, and the little swelling that I did have was not noticeable and was gone by the time I went back to school. If you play an instrument, lay off of it for a week at least. I thought I was all better and then I tried to play my saxophone... Jesus, I thought I was going to die.
Anyway, other than that, getting your wisdom teeth out is not a big deal at all. The last thing I remember about the surgery part is when my doctor came into the room before they put me on anything and said, "How are you?" The rest was bliss! I love laughing gas!

There have been tons of questions about spelling bees/stage fright already. Look them up before you ask a new question. I just searched for questions about spelling bees and there are at least THIRTEEN questions just on the first page of results. And if the those are yours, I doubt you can get any more information about spelling bees.
I have never wanted to know anything about spelling bees but now after reading all of the spelling bee questions within the past month I am on spelling bee overload. All you do is spell words. If you're good at it, you advance. If you get stage fright, you get stage fright. There's no way around dealing with it. I've been performing for ten years and not once have I ever gotten stage fright. It only affects certain people, depending on your confidence level.
That's pretty much it about spelling bees.

It seems like every friday that my boyfriend and I go out to eat all the buffets serve fish. Why is it always fish friday? Can anyone explain or is it just some odd coincidence?
Wow, my dad and I had a conversation about this yesterday actually! I don't know if they still do this, but Catholics used to always eat fish on Fridays. So when my parents were in school, the cafeteria would always serve some type of fish on Friday, and a lot of restaurants still do that. I'm not Catholic so I wouldn't know why, or even if people still do that, but that's why :)

I think it would look great because you have a similar facial shape to the dream hair picture. It might look a little bit different because in your picture it looks like your bangs are a little bit shorter than the other pic, but other than that it should look awesome!

Instead of putting stuff like *sigh*, I sound it out. Like, hmpf. Also, I type exactly how I speak, so after I use the word "like" I automatically put a comma where I pause (like in my last sentence). I also use a lot of deadpan humor, so I end everything with a period.
I am always hungry. Not just that I want to eat, but literal stomach hunger. I can eat a full supper, and still be hungry for more. I know its not healthy... how can I not be hungry, so I can eat less?
Try drinking a glass of water before you eat, and another glass during your meal. A lot of the time, when you feel hungry that's actually your stomach telling you that you're thirsty. So, theoretically, if you drink water all day, you won't be as hungry. I tried that once, and I actually forgot to eat lunch and dinner (and I'm like you with the hunger). The only downside is that you will have to pee a lot.

I think i talked to you about this boy that i thought liked me and i had something for him too but he had a gf....well just incase you dont remember, he was touching my leg and hitting me with his shoulder and teasing me...But after that he wont hardly talk to me...like at all...and he was looking at car parts and i said whatcha doing and he said looking up car parts..and like five minutes later i said so whatcha doing and he said something...(i was bored) but like if i see him in the hallway then he will look at me a lot, and like in class he will look at me a lot...like for five minutes, and yesterday he ran out of the classroom and real fast and i was walking down the hallway and he was talking to a friend and he started to look at me and talk to his friend at the same time. But like i am so frustrated because i dont know what to do!! i was gonna ask for his number but i havent found the right time...Why isnt he talking to me?? Does he maybe think that i dont like him or something..what did i do?? i get these vibes that he has something for me but he just isnt talking like he did that day....help!!
Hey there. This might sound really, really dumb, but tell one of his close friends that you like him. I'm not even kidding. Because then they will probably tell him. Most of the time, when you know that somebody likes you, you start to like them back. I know it sounds weird, but when I find out that someone likes me, I kind of start to like him too. So if you let him know (or give him a note or something) then that will DEFINITELY get something going. Or, even if you just give him a note with your number that says "call me sometime :)" or something, then if he calls you then you know that there's something there. It would be really great for you to talk to your friends that know him about it, because they can give you a better perspective of if he really likes you. It really sounds like he's just playing "hard to get" by ignoring you or whatever... which is dumb. Since you said that he looked at you and talked to his friend at the same time, that makes me think that he likes you and is trying to figure out what to do about it. Is he a shy guy? That may have something to do with it too. It's never wrong for the girl to make the first move, so if you get a chance to, just say, "Hey, I think we should hang out sometime" or whatever and then if he's cool with it get his number. It doesn't necessarily have to be a date, but it's cool if it turns into one :) Good luck!
the guy i am in love with and 2 of his friends are trying to get a huge grant for like 1 million dollars or more . he is 18 years old and the other 2 are 19 . he dropped out of school but he got his GED and the other 2 graduated . they arent getting it for college loans or anything , they are jsut doing it to get money . they are going today to see if they get it or not and if they do they plan on leaving for florida for a couple of months to party with the money and junk . i really hope they dont get it and i asked my mom about grants this morning and she said they only give you grants for loans for school and that you have to pay them back . is it true that you have to pay the grants back ? and do you think theyll get a grant even if its not for school purposes ? godi m so scared because i dont want them to get it and leave the state for months because i wont get to see him or talk to him much if they do . please fill me in about this whole grant thing and if you think theyll get it
I highly, highly doubt they will be able to do this. To get a grant, you have to have gotten some kind of recognition or actually done something with your life. Teachers at my school get them sometimes for being "Teacher of the Year" or whatever, and they're for classroom supplies only. So there's no possible way they can get a grant, especially for a million dollars for not even doing anything. Also, with loans, you have to have a valid reason to get them approved- like for college, buying a house, or whatever. Since they don't have a valid reason, they will most likely not be able to get a loan either. They won't have to worry about paying this stuff back because no bank is going to be cool with giving an eighteen-year-old and two nineteen-year-olds a million dollars, haha. Even if they could, in some way, get the money, they would be putting themselves in the crappiest situation ever because of interest rates and such. There's no possible way they could pull that off, unless they robbed a bank. So don't worry about it, it's just a pipe dream :)

Honestly, anybody here is going to tell you that it comes naturally. If he makes the first move, just try to match him. If he goes one way, go the other way. Don't wear lip gloss- it feels slimy and weird (at least to me). As for duration, just go with the flow. Making out is generally for really long extended periods of time. Kissing is shorter.
