I have never wanted to know anything about spelling bees but now after reading all of the spelling bee questions within the past month I am on spelling bee overload. All you do is spell words. If you're good at it, you advance. If you get stage fright, you get stage fright. There's no way around dealing with it. I've been performing for ten years and not once have I ever gotten stage fright. It only affects certain people, depending on your confidence level.
practice, spell all the words you hear people say in your head. Pay close attension(sp? hm, i wonder why i've never won a spelling bee) to words with silent letters. take a deep breath, relax.
you can do it! good luck! [ TheAnnie's advice column | Ask TheAnnie A Question ]
