I'm okay at volley ball but not perfect at it so I need some serious tips.

ok

SERVING
your toss is everything - make sure it's perfect - right above you dominant shoulder (the one you hit with)
make sure when you hit you hit it when it's at it's highest point
follow through - hitting hand: snap down, pointer hand: bring down to stomach (it kinda looks like your arm's in a sling if you know what i mean)

PASSING/BUMPING
be in ready position until it comes to you then make a platform - it has to be perfectly flat and not lopsided or the ball will fly off in weird places =]]]
USE YOUR LEGS - my coach always gets mad because i swing my arms - you're not supposed to move your arms at all actually - it's all legs

SETTING
sorry - i totally suck at setting - um just remember to make you thumb and first fingers make a triangle above ur forehead


im not that good at volleyball i just know what you're supposed to do but dont do it =]]

well i have to volenteer at a retirement home, and im kind of nervous. I want to meet someone nice that I can go visit every once in a while. Any ideas of how I can introduce myself and what I can say to make them like me. Cuz I'm a little freaked out that I am going to meet a grumpy old person.

i just joined track last friday, and to tell you the truth i'm not the best runner. i'm good at shot put, long jump, and hurdles, but we have to run a mile everyday and i'm a long distance runner. how can i be a better runner, because if i start running for like 10 seconds i get tired. thanks!

im like that too. you just have to deal with it. what i do is hum to the rocky theme song while im running. it helps to get you PUMPED! lol you just gotta practice a lot at sprints they suck i know

I don't know if i'm super shy or if it's a medical problem but I can NOT present in the front of the class. I can't even stand up there and read one paragragh! My legs and voice automatically starts shaking, my face gets redder and redder, and if I stay long enough tears just come out of my eyes.

Sometimes if the teacher is undestanding, she'll let me present it to her alone during recess but this is for a big project that is about half of our report cards. 30% is going to be in our oral marks so I HAVE to present. There's going to be about 3-10 pages to read.

I can't even barely stand up there to read one paragrapgh so how am I going to read ten pages? I was so nervous that one time I fainted! Taking deep breathes and calming myself down does not work. Please help me..my life is literally on the line and my reputation in the school too

Wow, that's a toughie. I would say to while you're reading, your teacher's gonna want you to make eye contact so just look at one of your best friends so you don't get nervous. You could look at your paper for the most part, and just every once in a while look up at your friend. Just make sure your teacher knows you're trying hard and she'll cut you some slack. Remember to project =]]
