I was diagnosed with ADD around December and I was prescribed this medicine. I have been taking the medicine and my grades have went from mostly B's to all A's. It was a really dramatic change in everything I did. So...my grandma thinks that it's all in my head that I have ADD, but it's totally not. But she just keeps saying it and now I'm getting the feeling it might be. I have all the symptons for ADD and when I didn't take my medicine earlier this week I couldn't slow down, do any homework, was distracted a ton, and couldn't remember important stuff. Do you think I really have ADD or it's all in my head? I'm not sure and it's starting to bug me. (link)

I think you do have ADD. My brother has a similar condition and it's deff. not in his head(trust me i know). Sometimes older people have a harder time beleiving modern ideas and medicine and such.
Even if it is in your head, keep taking the medicine because it seems to be working either way.

Is there anything I can buy at walmart to soothe my throat? I've heard of something called throat coat but I cant ever find it. I ask because I am an aspiring vocalist and my acid reflux has taken a toll on my throat this week and I need a fix so I can get back to singing with my school choir. Is there any throat spray that I can get at a department store that does what I need? (link)

well i have acid reflux as well...and advil and tea with honey can totally help your throat
also..if you chew gum...that can make acid reflux worse...also cafine, garlic, and spicy stuff is bad

alright so i have itunes on my laptop but then my laptop started to not work so i installed itunes on my dads computer.. now theres no music in the itunes library on my dads computer and if i were to add songs into my ipod from my dads computer, and update it does that mean only the songs on my dads computer will update into my ipod or the songs from my laptop will still be there? help please thanks (link)

All the songs on yours will be deleted, and only his will remain.
The only thing you can do is get your laptop fixed, or just working for a little bit and just manually transfer all the songs from your laptop to your dads computer using like a cd. You just have to get like 50 CD's and transfer the songs that way....it's a lot of work...but there's nothing else you can do...sorry

ok. i love making stir fry. i love my boyfriend who loves stir fry too. The other day i was cutting up some onions and salting up some broccolli when my boyfriend sexually caressed my rear quarters. i began becoming so exhilirated until the point I COULD NOT TAKE IT ANYMORE! in a blink of an eye IT WAS ON! the next thing i know im naked on the floor laying on broccolli. i was upset because my fry was burnt and looked like crap. i love my boyfriend but if he keeps turning me on and messing up my stir fry then its over. what should i do? i really need stir fry in my life..ha as wierd as it sounds. stir fry over sex. Mk, I have been BEST friends with this girl, Madison since I was eight. We're in eighth grade now and I seriously can't take her much longer. SHE GETS MAD OVER EVERY SINGLE THING! Anytime I get mad about something, she turns the whole thing around and starts cussing at me. She didn't do it this time but, she invited like eight girls over right in front of my face and didn't even invite me. Obviously, that pissed me off so I just hung out with my other friends the rest of the day cause every time I went over near her she'd start talking about Friday and what she's doing with everyone but me. Whenever I came home from school she IMed me and was like, "are you mad at me?" and then obviously she was talking about me cause some girl who I never even see at school was like, "are you mad at madison?" i just said sort of and then they were like, "oh, well it seemed like it." and then I told them why and Madison got all pissed off at me. She was saying, "I DON'T HAVE TO DO EVERY SINGLE THING WITH YOU! YOU INVITE YOURSELF OVER EVERY SINGLE DAY!" First of all, I know that. She doesn't have to invite people over in front of my face...I don't ever do that to her. Second of all, what the heck? NO I DON'T. She invites me over AND it isn't every day. It's like once a week. The only time I do is cause my dad is abusive and she the only one who I've told -- I only do that about once a month though. Then today I was talking to her about my profile on IM and she's like, "Well, you practically copied mine. I mean all the screen names are bolded and it's in black and white. So thanks?" I wanted to say, "OKAY! WHAT THE CRAP!? Every single person bolds the screen name like that or the name if they have conversations in their profile. Second of all, you copied Jordan's(This other girl who she acts like it's her best friend and then she tells me that she's a bitch. She's not a bitch. At least she doesn't get mad for no reason). Third of all, mine are ALWAYS black and white. I wasn't even trying to copy you. Why are you even making such a big deal about it!? It's a freaking profile." But instead I just said, "Oh sorry, I didn't mean to." and she didn't say anything. For about two weeks, anytime I say anything when she's around someone she just glares at me and says something rude or sarcastic back. I've become really good friends with some of the people who she says are her friends, so I don't know if she's just jealous about that or what. Gah, what should I do? If I talk to her about it, she'll freak out. (link)

ok well i kind of sort of used to be in that situation.
what you have to do is decide if your friendship is worht it.
if it isnt just drift slowly apart, at the rate ur going it shudnt be hard...
if it is then send her email tellling her u value her friendship, but you would appreciate if she didnt....
emails are easier 2 explain things with because no one can inturupt you....
that way its her decision to make, not yours.
and ask your other friends (who arent good friends with her) what they think of the situation.

well this could be for three reasons.
one: different groups of people so other people as hot. whoever the "popular" ones at your school are, dictate whats hot and whats not. this sucks, but its true. so if the "popular" guys have a different look than you, that might be the problem.
two: since you know the people at this other school think your hot, you might act a little more confident and be a little more charming. try carrying that cofidence over to your regular school and don't worry if people will laugh at you.
three: maybe people do think your hot, they just are afraid to tell you because they have to see you everyday or there your friends. if you like a girl at your school, go for it and see what happens.

I love to sing even though I'm flat and I need to control my breathing. (From what my thespian friends have told me)
So I'll love to get tips. Any songs to sing? I know there's musicals and such to sing from but please list songs for altos.
I've tried looking and I struggle to sing the songs from musicals. It seems to go too high or something.

ok well well first of all with the breathing thing. what should happen when you breathe is that your stomach should go out when you breathe in. most people do it wrong. also if your school has a chorus or a school play or anything if you join one of those you will be able to work on your singing.
a good breathing excercise is to breathe in and then let it out as slowly as possible in like a tz sound. its alsmost like hissing (your tounge should be against your teeth).
there are books you can buy full of these excersises.
also, not all broadway songs go high. they do make songs for altos. i dont knowif your a girl or a guy (cause if your a girl it doesnt make a good impression at auditions if you sing a guys song or visa versa). ussually if your at an audition or something they would prefer you sing something from broadway instead of like a pop song.
I am an alto, so i will list some songs i've considered or have song for auditions (these are all girl songs and you dont ussually do the whole thing only like 36 measures).

This happened to me too.
When it happened to me, I couldnt turn off the power, so you just have to wait until the power dies. it shouldnt take more than half a day. after that it should turn back on (after charging of course) like normal.

I have a very random question to ask everyone. When you read the word advicenators in your head (or speak it out loud) how do you pronounce it? I pronounce it advice-in-ate-ors. I've been apart of this site almost 3 years and never new if that's how it's actually said. It probably is, but for anyone who pronounces it differently, how do you say it? I know it's probably one of the oddest questions you've seen on the site, but at least I'm not asking if I'm ready for sex although I've only been dating the guy for two days or something equally annoying and somewhat common. =D Thanks in advance for answers!
