I noticed how people bribe in their questions, as in "I'll rate a 5 if you answer". Isn't advicenators supposed to be about HELPING? What happened to the world? (link)
Acually, i was just thinking about that. I became a member of advicenators because I like giving advice and helping people. I think thats really what this place is all about - even though many people seem caught up in the competitive aspect of it all. Good Question though =)! --Isabel

My Golden Retriever named Katie is 13 going on 14, i havent gone through a pet dieing experince my question is there any way to prepare myself in case my dog dies anytime soon? Katie's my First Dog and i love her sooooooo Much i would hate it if she died this Year Month Week Day
Can You Please Help Me Prepare for the Sadest Day of my Life???!?!??!?!?!?

HELP i'll RATE HIGH (link)
I have an older dog named Patches who is 12 so i know how you feel!I think you should get a good picture with her so you can remember her when she isnt with you anymore. Play with her often and just enjoy her! Dont stress over this situation because their is nothing you can do. All you can do is live in the moment, and love, enjoy and have fun with Katie. Remember, all living things die, and Katie will go to a better place when her day comes. Also you should realize their really is no "way" to prepare yourself for a death. Just have fun with Katie for now, and do everything you love to do with her while you can! I wish you and your dog well, and I hope you have many more exciting years with her! If you need me you know where to find me! --Isabel

How do you plan out a kick ass party? What sort of invitations should you give out without looking too kiddy-ish? (link)
Loud music, food, trampoline, pool, a basement/room seperate from where your family is around to hang out in. Tell who you invite they can invite people. good luck! -- Isabel

Hey...

Well im a beginner in field hockey and i just recently took a camp, and am hoping to try out for the team next year at school... and I need a stick so i was wondering for those who have played what they would recommend; for instance what brands that are good and which to avoid. Also since i am a beginner i dont want to spend like 200$ on a stick so make it reasonable like under 60$.

thanks!

Here is a good website to learn how to select the right stick (lenghth, weight etc.)

'STX' field hockey sticks are good and I think they're in your price range.

Hey... ANOTHER field hockey question... well since i hope to try out for the team next year at school which starts in like 2 months I want to get in shape. I was wondering what i can do to be in shape and at my best when playing the sport.. i was thinking maybe swimming laps in my pool.. or i dont really know.. anyone who has any tips i dont care what sport you play but a field hockey player mite help more.. idk ... thxx! (link)
Hey. Field Hockey is an awesome sport! I figure skate and play field hockey. Ok, so back to your question. A good way to get in shape is to run. In field hockey a lot of running is involved (depending on which position you play it will vary). Building up your stamina is very important so you dont get out of breath and tired. Pilates is a good way to tone your whole body and build some muscle. Start of with that, and eventually if you want to build more muscle I reccommend the book Toning For Teens by: Joyce L. Vedral. Its a great book with a 20 minute workout program to tone your body. Another thing that is key to be healthy is to drink water (it will help flatten your stomach!) and eat healthy, and in moderation. Dont starve yourself, but dont eat McDonalds every day. Good Luck and have a great field hockey season!! Let me know if you need anything else. As an avid figure skater i've pretty much gone trough the whole "getting in shape" thing =)! -- Isabel

okay so i really like this guy Luke* and a lot of my friends have said he likes me as well. Only problem, he has a girlfriend in a different school. He sits behind me in class and he is always talking to me and putting his head on my shoulder (no hes not trying to copy my answers haha) he teases me too and when I say "ugh i hate you right now." he says "oh no .. you love me!" and he is constantly hugging me and stuff but I dont know what to do because he has a girlfriend and I dont know what to say because I have already told him he needs to teach me to ice skate (because ive never done it) but I dont know his girlfriend and I dont want to like screw up their relationship. What do I do?? (link)
Your most likely going to get yourself into trouble with his girlfriend if she find out you two flirt. She might not like you, and neither will her friends. Not that it matters, but its something to be aware of. I think you should tell him you dont really feel comfortable doing stuff with him one on one because he has a girlfriend and you dont want her to take it the wrong way. Tell him for now you want to be friends and not come off to others as anything more than that. Good Luck! Let me know how it goes! -- Isabel

does anyone know how to get a babysitting job.
need a babysitting job.
plz help me. (link)
I have two families who live close to me that i babysit for.A good way to get jobs is to first let your family members know you wants to babysit, and if they know anyone in the area thats in need of a babysitter than give them your number! My aunt got me a babysitting job by doing this and my younger brother (age 8) had a friend who I now babysit for. I think the best way to do it is to have your family put out a good word for you! Good Luck -- Isabel
