i realllly want to go to a college that has physical science so i can learn astronomy in NEW YORK and since suffolk has it,i want to know more about this college,i have some questions im really hoping you guyz can answer PLEAAASE
1-what are the qualifications i need to join this college?Does it need any sat scores?
2-when i saw the commerical for it it said that they joined it then transfered to a different college after they finish at suffolk...why??

Suffolk County is a junior college. You can get your associate's degree (after two years) but many people choose to pursue their bachelor's degree (takes four years, about, at a four year college). People that want to get a bachelor's degree go to Suffolk for two years and then transfer somewhere else for two years. If you want to be an astronomer, you will have to have at least a bachelor's degree.

When you first get your period, it's not going to be anywhere near regular for like a few years. I've had mine for five years and it's still not regular. Don't sweat it, there's nothing wrong.

No, all students don't have to do that and no, it won't affect the job you get. Some students like to start out at junior colleges (2-year colleges) before transferring to a bigger university because it's a smaller environment and may be a better learning experience for them personally. It just depends on your needs. If you're freaked out by the idea of starting at a big four-year college, then you will probably want to start at a two-year college.
ok so for this project thing for school I have to dress up as Sacajawea. And I don't know what to wear. I'll probably end up putting my hair in braids and wearing long necklaces but I don't know what else. I'll probably end up wearing a dress, but I don't know where to find one. I've been really addicted to lemonade lately. For the last three weeks or so, I've been drinking 20 fl oz bottle lemonade a day....I'm totally hooked on this brand called "Calypso." They have multiple flavors, like Kiwi Lemonade, Mango Lemonade, Black Cherry Lemonade, etc.
Well, for the past few days, the lemonade has started to leave an awful sour taste in my mouth - and I'm positive it's not because there is anything wrong with the lemonade. The more I drink, the more sour it gets. I drank a whole bottle this morning and my mouth actually hurts. It's also started to upset my stomach. I can't even have a sip of it without setting my mouth off.
Could it be the acid?
I'm starting to get worried. Lemonade is my favorite food in the whole world. Does this mean that I'll never be able to enjoy lemonade again?!!!!!
I think it is the acid. Try balancing it out with water for a while and cut down on how much you drink. Lemons are really acidic and it can hurt your mouth, stomach lining, teeth, etc.
I think it would help you a lot to not drink any lemonade for a few days and then see if it still hurts as much.

Yeah, mine do. If I'm having lots of fun, they're bright blue. If I'm sad or bored, they get greener or gray.

Yes, Aunt Helen did molest Charlie. I think that when Charlie was little he tried to put it at the back of his mind so much that he forgot about it. That's why he freaks out when things get sexual with Sam. That makes him remember what happened. So basically he didn't deal with the trauma of it at the time (when he was little)- it was all bottled up and then all of a sudden he went over the edge when he started to remember. He wasn't crazy- he just had a little lapse when he was trying to come to terms with what Aunt Helen had done. Besides that, his family never knew about it and they never really told him what had happened to Aunt Helen herself. That really messed him up because he had loved Aunt Helen so much, yet his memory of her had become marred because of what he ended up remembering. In the book he says that he spent two months in the same hospital that he was in after Aunt Helen died- so when she died that messed him up too because he had loved her so much.
That's about all I can get from the ending- it's such a great book. And it's weird to think that you feel like you know so much about this kid named Charlie, yet that's not even his real name and it never says what his real name is in the book.
Okay so my friends house burned down this morning. I'm still in shock. I really want to help her through this. She lost everything, except the clothes she's wearing and her cell phone. Now I know this should be common sense, but I need your help. I need to help her out and help her through this. I just dont know how to go about doing so. I'm going to ask her if she wants to spend the weekend at my house or if she wants to hangout. Also she's a huge Jonas Brothers fan so i'm giving her a bunch of mine. I'm just wondering what else I could do. Like obviously i'm going to be there for her if she needs to talk and all but what can I do and how do I go about doing it? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Let her know that it's okay for her to stay at your house and eat your food and wear your clothes if she needs to. That should take at least some of her stress away. Or take her shopping or something. Your job is to take her mind off of what happened, so go try to have fun with her every once in a while.

I just listened to Drops of Jupiter, and it's in 4/4 time. If you wanted to be innovative I guess you could waltz to it in triplets, but that would be kind of hard.

I'm not a stupid girl, but I did something incredibly dumb. I was in kind of a depression fopr a while and I compeltely lost myself, this guy contcted me through a website and we started talking. He made me feel better and i loved talking to him but soon it became something incredibly creepy. he is in his 40's, which I did not know at first, and he says horrible graphic things to me. when i dont respond he calls me a bitch, slut, tease etc. then he aplogizes later and tells me he loves me? I started to get really really scared so I blocked him everywhere i could. He messages me through myspace and I don't respond, i put my profile on private.
it's been 2 weeks and he still tries to contact me. I got TONS of friend requests on myspace of people I dont know and they are all myspaces made that dya, w/ no friend,s so I think it is him... He messaged me and told me he missed me. Looking bck at our conversations he got alot of information out of me because I stupidly thought it wouldnt be a big deal! I'm really scared, I think he could find out where I live, he won't leave me alone, what should I do?

That's good that you already blocked him on everything. If you want to take it a step further, go into your myspace settings and make sure that it only has your FIRST name on file- that way, he can't really search for you as easily.
If I were you, I would delete my myspace for a while, or at least change myspace profiles. I would also change email addresses, AIM screennames, whatever else. This sounds pretty serious so you need to try to cover up your tracks as much as you can. If that means deleting all of your internet profiles and email addresses, then that's what needs to be done.
Also, go back through your past messages if you still have them and try to figure out what information you gave him- if you gave him the name of where you live or anything. If so, you really, really need to go to the police.
Whatever you do, do NOT contact him or acknowledge him in ANY way. Completely block him out on everything.
Here's another tip... Google yourself and see what comes up. If stuff that has personal information (blogs, school website, whatever else) about you comes up, do whatever you can to erase it.

Alright I know I need to talk to her about it, but help me out here. Okay so my friend, we'll call her "B", decided she was going to save herself for marriage. Her mom got her this really nice purity ring for christmas. Then B left it in the girls bathroom at school, so of course it's long gone. So her mom baught her another one. There's only one problem now. It's that she didnt keep her promise. Now she had talked about saving herself for marriage and everything for a while now. Then she goes off and does this, with a guy she met only like 2 weeks ago. Not to mention the fact that he didnt even ask her to be his girlfriend until like a couple days after they had sex. She's just going about like it wasnt even a big deal or anything. I dont know if I have a right to be even a little angry. And if I do, what do I do have a right to angry about? I understand why you're upset about it, but it's her personal issue. So no matter how you feel or what you say, nothing is going to change what she did or how she feels about making that decision. It sucks, but you probably shouldn't bring it up with her. I understand how you feel- I get really frustrated at the stupid decisions my friends make, but there's not anything I can do to change how someone lives their life. What you can do is lead by example- if you just do the right thing all the time then that example is better than telling someone how they should conduct themselves. For now, don't say anything to her about it- in a few weeks, you will probably have gotten over your frustration enough to think about it clearly and by then you won't care. I hope your friend quits screwing up her life.

The only way picks could be any cheaper than they already are is if you stole them (don't do that). You can get like four for a dollar. I like to buy Dunlop or Tortex picks, they come in lots of colors and they sound great with my strings. There's not really anywhere else to get a good selection of picks besides music stores. Unless you painted them or something.

No, if it's used and doesn't already have a warranty you can't really get one. That's only if you buy it from somewhere like Best Buy. I don't think you need to worry about breaking it though because I've never had any problems with mine (and none of my friends have had trouble with theirs). Unless you like to throw your gaming consoles off of balconies or something.

It may depend on where you live. When you turn 16, you may be emancipated from your parents if you can prove that they can't support you. Also, you have to prove that you can support yourself (like have a job) while staying in school until you're 18. However, since you are technically a minor and your boyfriend is not, that may cause problems- are there any other family members you could live with for the time being? If you can't find other relatives to live with, you will most likely have to wait until you're 16 to talk to a lawyer. Good luck, I hope this works out for you.
