I want to try out for the JV cheerleading team at my school. What do I need to know how to do to make the team? What should I practice doing? I'm trying to get in shape for it right now. I'm 5'5 and 140 pounds, and I plan on loosing more, but how much more would be good? What should I absolutely not do if I want to be a good cheerleader? Thank you so much!

I'm 5'5 and 140lbs. But Im Not Fat, I have a good body. So if your like me, and your not fat, you really dont need to lose any more weight. JV needs to know all the same the varsity does. So make sure your motions are sharpe, and stif. At my school we toss people in the air. You'll probably be a base, thats what I am. Make sure your strong! Make sure you do atleast every jump 10-20 times everyday. If you REALLY want your jumps better, Sit on the ground and open your legs. Place your hands infront of yourself close to your body. And left your right leg and move it backwords. Do this 10 times, Then the left leg. Then you can repet, but its hard the first couple times. This will help your toetouches soo much. They will help you get your legs more opened.
I know for some schools, you have to have a backhand spring. So maybe start taking gymnastics and work your butt off. If you dont need one then still try to get into gymnastics. I hope I heled

Don't think i am talk9ing about stamina, because i have decent stamina but i have been told before that i have a wild, uncontrolled style of breathing when i run, i feel this is shaving off my full potential so what arethe proper ways and how can i improve

Try breathing in your with your nose and out of your mouth. I have BAD breathing as well, but im working on it. I hope I Helped

i am new to my high schools cheerleading squad. most of the girls are really good at their round offs, i can do mine but it sucks. i can get my feet together to land at the same time, but my problem is that when i land my feet down, my arm is still on the ground, just like they are after doing a cartwheel. what i need to learn to do is when i land to pull my body up so im not bent over still like kind of so i can fly backwards, and also how to pull my hands off the ground before i actually land, because when i try to pull my hands away i lose my balance or get scared that i will fall on my head. sorry if this is confusing, but any tips?! thanks so much!

Alright question one. Before you go on your hands, are you flipping yourself facing the way your coming?
Two. Are you running hard enough? Running hard will just make you land on your feet.
Three. You might not be strong enough. You need to PUSH off the ground once your hands hit. They should only be on the ground for like not even a second. If thats it, Start lifting. Thats what youll have to do. Or just do them A LOT.
Have a girl that is good at them, tell you what your doing. Do it, then have her correct you. Shell probably say you need to get stronger.

I'm a 5'7-5'9ish female who weighs approximately 120 lbs. I used to run daily & weighed about 135 lbs. I stopped running due to mono & still feel a bit tired & weak but my mono should be just about done with. I've had it for 6-7 weeks. Anyways, my mom thinks I'm underweight & should not exercise. My BMI is around 19.2 which is still average since 18 is underweight. I only intake around 1000 calories a day. I have a minor eating disorder & have issues with eating. Would it be dangerous to exercise or would I have to gain weight & eat more?? Thanks!!

I think should eat more. But there is nothing wrong with exercising, your staying healthy. I would eat more, esp if you wanna keep exercising. You have been sick, Of course your going to LOOK underweight, maybe even be. But I think your fine. If you do have an eating disorder then you might wanna fix it. But I know Im uhh about eating some things, so if its like that, then your fine. haha. But maybe wait another week to start running since you have been sick with mono. Start out with low running, then work your way back up to where you use to be. I hope I helped

Im only 16, but my boyfriend left friday for college(he plays football and had to go early for camp) But anyways, he is a freshman and no one from our school is going to the school he is at. His roommate found him on myspace, So if you know the name of your roommate, try to start talking to them on myspace now, so you guys will atleast have an idea of who you guys are and everything. (unless some of your friends are going to your school then nothing to worry about) Call your parents everynight/day and tell them how your doing. yes you can.. haha.. if you have the old aim the 5.9 version, then this is what you do. click on set up then preferences. on the left where you can pick what you want to go to, click on privacy(its the second one) then in the top left hand coner, there will blue writing saying Who Can Contact Me. Under it click on the bubble that has "Allow only users on my buddylist" next to it. & There you go.
But if you have people blocked, and want them to stay on your list, you will have to unblock them. Whoever you block, their name will be taken off your buddylist forever pretty much.

Try shaving all the ways. Like up, down, (side) to the left, side(to the right) then top the bottom (left to right) then (right to left) going down(sorry i cant really explain what i was trying to say there lol) like this \ then / haha, sorry.. get the cheap razors from the dollar store. I get those and they work better then the cheap ones from wal mart. Use them only twice tho. Hope I helped

So, I have Sims2 on my laptop, and for some reason, everytime I load a neighbor hood, it will...like...ok, let's say you made a family, put them in a house and then you save and quit the game. Then later you choose the same neighborhood, but you family isn't there...

That has happened to me on 3 different neighborhoods (I have Sims2 Seasons, and it gives you another neighborhood). And now I can't get to the family I really want to play....anyone knows what the heck is going on?

Oh, and while I was playing it on Stragetown or whatver...I saw Bella! And I called the police to let them know...but they didn't really care...has anyone ever had that happen?

the house/family thing has happened to me once maybe twice. But then my boyfriend put more meory in my computer and I made another house, saved and went back and it workd. It might be your computer not having enough memory space.

before you even do crunches, you have to get rid of the fat over them. go walking/running/jogging 30 mins. 3 days a week. by just doing cruches your not getting rid of the fat over the abs.

im 13/f and getting a new haircut for back to school. right now my hair is about 5 inches below my shoulders and i have side bangs. but i want a different style. any cute ideas? (im willing to cut to my shoulders, nothing shorter.)

Maybe get it up to youe shoulders, keep the side bangs, or get like longer full bangs. ((like how you wouyld wear them then you were younger, cut straight across)) but make them longer and loose like. Get layers that fit your face. Maybe even get a perm(if it would look right) I hope I helped

Okay,do push up bras make your boobs flatter when your not wearing them after you have worn them for a while? Because whenever I take my bra off they seem flatter, maybe its just me.

I dont wear a push up bra. But when I just take off my regular bra my boobs seem flat. Its probably bc they have been in a bra all day, and when you take it off your boobs are still formed like they are in the bra, if you get what I;m trying to say.. haha. Hope I Helped

I'm not sure about the place. Go somewhere clean and have nice beds, and they get new bulbs when they are suppose too.
First you tell the lady how long you want to go in. I suggest maybe 5-8 mins. your first time.
Go into the room, and take off your cloths. I take everything off. But you might want to keep your panties and bra on. Up to you. Then if you have tanning lotion put it on. I know I only have three mins. to get everything on. So im guessing thats how long you have. Then just get in the bed and put the little san glasses things on and your ready to go.. Happy Tanning!
