im 13/f, in grade 8, and im only 5'2
i feel so short compared to everyone!!
everyone else is 5'4 and up, and i feel like a grade 6. I know im only 13 and can get my growth spurt, but all my family members are really short, so i doubt i'll grow. Is there still some hope of growing?? and is there something (other than heels) that can make me look and feel taller??
Thanks:) (link)
If your height is genetic, chances are you won't grow any taller.

Like the reply before me says, you can work on your posture, which has many benefits. It also strengthens your core (abs) which is like a 24/7 ab workout!!

Anyways, guys really DO prefer shorter girls. No lie. Don't worry that everyone around you is taller. Trust me, you'll get used to it. I'm short too, but I don't even notice how tall people are anymore.

Ok
I am 14/f and I have started my period
I have had it for 3 years
IT comes every 28 days without fault!!
The only problem is, is that it only lasts about 2-3 dayss...
I think its supposed to be about 5-7 days..
And I like broken or something?
I mean I workout ALL the timee, and I drink a lot of water...
And its like not a heavy floww, so what is wrong, if anything....
Thankss (link)
Yup, that's normal. All women's periods vary. The reason your periods don't last as long is because you are so physically active.

I shaved my pubes 10 days ago and I kind of regret it. I still have itchy red bumps down there. How can I get rid of them? (link)
You have to scrub down there with a loofa and soap in the shower, but be careful not to hurt yourself. Moisturize with a good lotion to get it soft again and stop the itching. You'll have to wait a while until the next time to shave. Be sure to use a shaving cream, too.

I advise against shaving down there. Waxing is the best way to go, but you have to get it done professionally. NEVER wax yourself unless you're highly experienced. It will come out a disaster.

i cut myself and the scars kind of turn white and they wont go away.im mixed with black and white.how do i get the scars to go away.

and dont say anything about "cutting is not good for you" and "you shouldnt cut yourself".if i want your opinion on that i will ask

say nothing more than the answer to the question i asked. (link)
Cocoa butter works only a little bit, but Bio Oil is amazing. Or you could just cover it up with makeup, but make sure it's completely healed so you don't get an infection.

Take Care!

im 13;
and am like a type A in my size bras ...
almost all my friends have bigger boobs then me
its kind of embrassing.
i was wondering if theres any type of foods
to increase your breast size? (link)
You're only thirteen, which means you probably won't stay an A forever. I was a size A at that age and mine are definitely a lot bigger now! You have nothing to be embarrassed about, so relax.

There's nothing you can eat to make them bigger, unless you gain fat overall. Women have larger breasts because they produce more estrogen, that's why pregnant women and women right before their periods have such big boobs.

If you really care that much, get a Wonderbra. They are padded and definitely give you a lift and cleavage. But honestly, at 13 you shouldn't be worrying about that kinda stuff.

any particular vitamins, shampoos that will help the healthy growing of hair. (link)
It's not the shampoos that help your hair, it what you put into your body. Eat lots of protein, B vitamins, iron and vegetables to keep your hair healthy. Make sure you take really good care of your hair. Causing stress on the hair by heat from blowdrying and curling or too much brushing will make your hair weak, breakable, and prone to split ends. Get your hair trimmed to get rid of the split ends.

What products should I try to get rid of acne. My skin type is combination, I break out really bad around my time of the month, and most times I get these really big pimples under the skin, and they never come to a head where I can pop them. I want to know what product I can use to prevent my acne and those really big under the skin unpopable pimples.
Thanks (link)
Proactive works the best. If you're on a budget, get Clean and Clear Continuous Control acne cleanser. It deposits medication into your pores. you can even feel it because your skin tingles afterwards.

However, do NOT pop your pimples. Leave them alone, don't touch them and they will take their course. Popping them will only lead to more zits and end up scarring your face. If you don't see scars now, you will definitely see them when you age.

Does anyone know of any place where you can see a therapist/psyciatrist (sorry if that's not the correct spelling) in the Annapolis, Maryland area without your parents knowing ? My parents are completely against that stuff and I really need someone to talk to because my friends and parents aren't helping much, so that's why I ask. Any help would be appreciated ! Thank you ! (link)
You can see your school psychologist or counselor, but they'll most likely refer you to another therapist outside of the school and notify your parents.

If you plan to see a therapist outside of school, you will probably need parental consent if you are a minor. Even if you didn't they will eventually ask for you to bring your parents in so they can speak with them.

Last thing, there is no such think as free counseling (unless you go at school), so be prepared to pay at least $100+ per visit.

O, i've been looking for a way to get my haircut for some time now. I've FINALLY found the perfect picture, and I think the cut will look good on me, but I want some other view before I go and do it :] thanks!

This is the hairstyle I want:

Thanks again, and sorry to post this again! (link)
That's a cute haircut, but make sure you go to a GOOD stylist who can actually cut it like that. This haircut is extremely thinned out the ends, which you'll have to take extra-special care of since it will be vulnerable to damage.

Also, take into consideration the thickness of your hair. If your hair is really thick, don't be surprise if that cut looks different on you.

Don't forget that you will have to STYLE your hair everyday to make it look like that. After blowdrying, use Bed Head Manipulator or the Bed Head Wax Stick to get the ends to stick out like that.

14/f
okay so i've had my belly pierced for about 3 weeks and all and i have a real belly ring in it..some people use ear rings but no way....
well i have a question..is there anything else you could use besides peroxid and vaseline? i know that alcohol dries everything up way to much...but what about just using vitamin E???
well any suggestions are welcome!!thanks! (link)
I use Satin therapeutic skin cleanser in the shower, and at the opposite end of the day, I soak it in salt water. You have to mix 1/4 a teaspoon with 8 fl oz of warm water, put it in a shotglass or small cup, and hold it to your belly button for 5-10 min. Make sure it isn't too salty.

You really should NOT use antibacterial soap, peroxide or alcohol!!!! These do more harm than good. Try to clean the inside of your belly button with a Q-Tip so dirt doesn't get trapped in there and cause infection. Never touch it unless you've washed your hands. You can't change the ring for at least three months, but it has to be a high-grade steel ring. you can't wear mall jewelry for at least ONE YEAR.

here is a pic of the soap I use:

If you got pierced at a studio, I can't believe they didn't give you cleaning products or after-care pamphlets.

Everyday I put on makeup, but as soon as it gets like towards the middle of the day, I check myself in the mirror and everything is like already off! What are some good foundations, mascara, eyeliners, and others (like concealers, or..? idk. blush, etc) that stay on all day and look gorgeous on you guys?? Thank You in advance!!! (link)
Cheap makeup never stays on because it is of poor quality. You may not like this, but the professional (yet expensive) makeup always works best. MAC is almost always the number one choice among professional makeup artists. It may be pricey, but it works. I've used their foundations, concealers and blush for years.

I use the cheap Wet and Wild liquid eyeliner but believe me it works like it was $20 instead of $2.

Every makeup artist uses Great Lash by Maybelline, but DiorShow is hands-down the best mascara in the business.

ok i have naturally light blonde hair, but i have the under layers dyed a dark brown. yesterday a/k/a wednesday i went to the salon to get some lowlights in on the top. i told the girl i just wanted a few dark streaks throughout my hair to add deminsion [sp?] but told her i didnt want it mostly dark. instead i end up with a head full of dirty-dishwasher lightish brown hair with a few random strands of my natural color as highlights. i dont like it at alllll. is there anyway i could go somewhere and get someone to strip out the color from a few selections of my hair so i can get the streak effect that i wanted? i dont want to highlight/bleach over the color i have now i just want some of my natural color back =[ and i want it to look like what i intended for. i know stripping is bad for your hair but it has GOT to be fixed and waiting for it to fade out is just not going to do the trick. can they strip out certain chunks like that rather than the whole head ? PLEASE help the only time ive ever dyed my hair is when i did the under-layers so now i dont know what to do!? (link)
Sorry hun, but there's no way you can actually "get it back". There ARE products that can strip the color out, but only if it's the semi-permanent dye (the kind that washes out after 8 washes or so), but I'm assuming yours is permanent. Even if they "take the color out", it will never be the same color as the original hair.

Your best bet is to go to a salon (preferably NOT the one you just went to because they might mess it up again) and have them fix it. Do NOT try to fix it yourself; odds are it will not come out the way you want it to. Leave it in the hands of the professionals as they know what they're doing.

i want to tease my hair but i dont want it very big.. i just want to make it more volumized. but anyways, ive tried teasing and it kinda doesnt work for me. so i heard that there is a hairspray or some kind of spray that is like teasing your hair but you instead of using a comb u just spray it on your hair. so does anyone know what spray its called and if it works? thanks (link)
You should probably use a teasing comb. It looks like this:

http://www.hairproducts.com/images/007g.jpg

See how the teeth alternate lengths? You can get this at a beauty supply.

In addition to teasing it, use volumizing shampoo, spray or mousse to give it a lift. Blowdrying your hair with a large round brush will also give it volume. If you don't know how to blow dry with a brush, just blow dry it upside down.

Good luck!!

I'm confused on how to apply eyeshadow properly. can someone give me tips or some useful websites? (link)
Here is the best video on how to apply eyeshadow:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BDOkIYnTDp0

However, we all have different eyes shapes, brow bones and creases, so you have to make it work for YOU. This video is pretty much the basics, after that, you have to adjust according to you eye. PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE! That's the only way you get good at it. I suggest practicing on the weekends or at night when you aren't going out. That way you don't go out looking like a disaster.

Also, this isn't the only way to do eye shadow. I've just found this way to be the most practical.

Eyeshadow is always the hardest to perfect. Make sure you blend blend blend and don't wear too much! That always looks bad, and ask people for their honest opinion so you don't go out looking like a mess!

Good luck!!!

Hey, well i'm 15/f. I just got my hair cut. It pretty much sits on my shoulders. But I have absolutly nothing cute to do with it. Everytime I try curling my hair, it never stays. No matter how much hairspray I put on it, it doesn't stay. About the only thing cute that I know how to do with it is scrunch it, or put it in a little pony tail. What else can I do though? Another problem I have with it is that since it does sit on my shoulders, it flips out at the ends which really bothers me, since I'm like a super profectionest. Also, my part. I like my part to not look straight, but not really messy. I just like to peice it out where different peices cross over. But I ALWAYS get frustrated and really mad because it never looks how I want it to look. Once again, I'm a HUGE profectionest(sp?). AND, my bangs. They never lay how I want them to. I can only put certain bangs on one side because of the "way they grow" as my mom says... I really want my bangs to look like this:

http://www.daemonstv.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/12/ot5_haley_3_089ra-7aac6252-t3.thumbnail.jpg

btw, that's about the length of my hair too. So can someone please help? Like can someone tell me some styles, and tips about everything I'm having problems with? Websites would also be super helpful. Thanks so much!! (link)
Yes, leaving rollers in overnight will definitely make the curls stay. They may be uncomfortable to sleep in, and make sure you wrap a silk scarf around them so they don't get messed up in your sleep. They will come out huge when you take the rollers out, but don't worry, they will relax in a half hour.

Also, have you tried putting product in your hair BEFORE curling it? Tresemme makes great product that holds the style, but you spray it on after you get out of the shower and your hair is wet, then curl it after it dries.

If you don't want a straight part, try making a zigzag part with the end of a comb or even a pencil. Experiment with it until you get it the way you want.

To get big bangs, wrap them over a round brush, curl them forward towards your forehead/face, and heat them up with a hot blowdryer for like 15 sec. Then wait for 30 more seconds for them to cool, and ROLL (not pull) the brush out. They may be a bit big, but again, they will relax. LIGHTLY coat it with hairspray.

If you don't like the curling ends, you might as well blow-dry your hair straight with a large, round brush.

Good luck, and remember, practice til you get it right!

i want to dye my hair purple and red and i got the dye. what would be good ways i could dye it? i wana do the top layer deep red and the bottom purple or other way around. but i cant find a picture of it and i need a pictur or else i cant do it. either that or a different way how should i do it? (link)
Hmm.. are you experienced in dying your hair? If not, I would advise you to get it done. If you're going to do it yourself, don't be surprised if it doesn't come out they way you expected.

I love Reese Witherspoon's bangs look but would it work with a round face?

http://www.imdb.com/media/rm4117469952/nm0000702 (link)
Okay.. those with round faces should stick to longer, side-swept bangs. You can't have them as short (like Reese's) because they will make your face look even rounder. Trust me, I would always bug my stylist on trimming them shorter, but that's what he told me.

If your stylist is smart enough they will keep them long, but I'm telling you, you can still get bangs but don't get them too short.

i have pretty yellow teeth. i DO brush them.. im scared like hell to go to the dentist though so i cant go and ask tem. anyways i DO brush my teeth but their still pretty yellow. it might be from coffee... so any adivce on the best outcomes or if they get gooey and slip off... or whatever happens to the whiteness strips.. anything that might be useful. thank you (link)
You seriously have to stop drinking coffee and soda because it stains your teeth. If you really can't give it up, drink through a straw so it doesn't touch your teeth.

White strips are great, but Listerine has always been enough for me :)

Have a great day!

i put eyeliner on the top of my eyelid, and on the bottom one. and throughout the day it goes to the side of my eyes and leaves like a black spot on the edge of my eyes and goes underneath my eyelashes. is there anyway to prevent that? sorry if you couldn't understand it. i also tried using liquid eyeliner because it doesn't go away as easily, but as soon as i put it on, it goes right into my eye whenever i blink. it's like it doesn't dry quick enough. is there anyway to prevent that too? thanks in advance. (link)
You might not like this, but your best bet is to use liquid eyeliner. It takes a little bit of practice, but trust me, it's worth it. Try not to blink so much or put it too close to your eye. I think it drips because you are putting too much on the brush. Wipe a bit off on the tip when you pull it out of the bottle. If you want it to dry quicker, stand in front of a fan or hold a blowdryer on a low, cool setting to speed it up.

There are also two kinds of liner: felt tip and brush. Felt tip will be much easier for you because it's more like a pencil.

If you stick to pencil eyeliner, it will smudge no matter what. It doesn't matter how expensive of a liner you buy; it's always going to smear.

does anyone know where i can get some pictures of medium brown hair with carmel highlights in it for my hairdresser? i googled it but i couldn't find any good ones (link)
Those are good pictures in the last reply. I suggest finding a picture of a celebrity that has the hair you want. Go to the store and look through the magazine departments. Even the grocery store has at least five magazines I can think of that are only about haircuts/color.
