I'm Suki. I love to see the first bloom of a wild rose, to smell the salt spray of an ocean breeze, to hear the laughter of little children at play. Oh no, wait - That's somebody else.

A lot of my friends are very religious, and thus have many different beliefs (religiously, politically, and otherwise) than I do. Lets just say I cried on November 3rd last year (the day after), and they pretty much jumped for joy. Sometimes when I make a comment about issues that are happening in the world they look at me oddly, like I'm a complete idiot or something. They enjoy listening to Ashlee Simpson and the like while I listen to classic rock from the 60's and 70's. In the past this hasn't bothered me much, but lately its been nagging at me a lot. Don't get me wrong. I love my friends to bits, they're the nicest people and so fun to be around, but is it possible to love them as people and completely disregard how different their mentality is from you? Do your beliefs and interests dictate who you are as a person?

(Sorry if this question doesn't make much sense.) (link)
Yes, of course so. All of my friends are completely different from one another. We all come from different stereotypical groups and have very different interests. I personally think it is better that way. I loathe groups where everyone looks, acts, talks, et cetera -exactly- the same. It it much more fun to be individuals.

Okay, I'm having this Halloween party and I don't know what to do, I told them to ware their costumes, and to bring some warm clothes incase it is cold, but I don't know what to do! There are going to boys and girls, along with my parents, little sis, and my boyfriend;) I don't know what we should do that would be fun for kids our age. We are all 13/14 and we want to just have fun, do you know what we could do? ( please don't make it expensive, my family doesn't have verymuch money right now.) thanks! (link)
Hang around and talk at first, if you are inviting a lot of people, that surprisingly takes up a -lot- of time and doesn't get boring. You could watch movies and play Truth or Dare. One of my friends has a Halloween party every year, and she makes a list for a scavenger hunt. What we have to do is go to random people's houses in the neighborhood and ask for those items in small groups. This is actually very amusing, and you can make the items whatever you want. If you are looking for a challenge, try putting tampons and/or condoms on the list.

Ok well this is gonna need ot be answered really quick. There is a popular girl on AIM right now and sheis nice to me, should i say hi? She doesnt know I have her sn, I got it iff her myspace... (link)
It depends if she added you on Myspace or not.

If not, then I wouldn't IM her. She might think you are a stalker.

okay, so this guy i am "together with" which means we are pretty much going out without the label. anyway, he says he likes me alot, but doesnt think we would be able to have a relationship because he doesnt think i would want him to finger me, or i wont give him head. and the truth is, i just think it would be akward.. but ive gone out with him before.. and i really want a relationship with him.. he doesnt want to have sex with me.. just do everything else. but ive never given anyone head, and ive never been fingered.. im 14.. and i didnt think i should be doing that stuff.. what should i do? (link)
He is trying to pressure you into doing shit. Don't listen. Fourteen year olds -shouldn't- be giving head/getting fingered. It makes you seem like a whore.

i am 13/f and i want sex is that wrong (link)
Wanting the sex isn't wrong. Actually having sex at that age isn't wrong in everyone's perspective, but it makes you a whore.

AHHHH..okay im really confused right now and i just need a little help..so i have known this guy for a while, and we both like eachother, we told this to eachother on the phone one night..but anyway, we started hanging out together all the time, and he would say that he liked me a lot, and he would hold my hand, and then school started, and we still hung out on the weekends, and at school he would hug me and crap.. but now, i feel like we are becoming distant, we arnt hanging out as much anymore, and he dosnt make an aqauiantence that much any more...AHHH..im so confused..lol..is he just being a typical guy or what?
(link)
Yeah. A lot of guys are like that. It's typical.

when i use a hair straightener it straightens my hair but it doesnt exactly get the poofiness out so what im asking here is what can i do? does serum help so my hair will look thin and how much would it cost? (link)
You have to put product in your hair before you straighten it.

I have a ten-year old sister and she has a bf. One day i caught them making out. I didn't make much of it. When I came back she was sucking his penis. I don't want my sister to be a sex addict but how do i confront her about this? (link)
Talk to your parents about it. They'd know what to do. If they aren't the very responsible type, talk to your sister. Tell her about the concequences. And show her pictures of STDs.

I realize that this is a question asked millions of times per day and that I normally skip over questions like these. Please don't do that here. There's this guy in one of my classes, and I like him. Since the beginning of the year, he's been emphasising the traits that we have in common. For example, I am an unuually loud and outgoing person. He has become loud and seems really confident. Plus he has style and is so cute. He's funny and makes me smile. Lately, he's been walking 1/2way to my next class with me and today his arm was around me for like a long time. I haven't really had any experience with guys, but I am in high school, and so is he. Do you think that he's being friendly, or that he likes me? Thanks for not disregarding this question, and I will rate well for genuine advice! (link)
I think he likes you. Or he is just the time of guy who is a womanizer and flirts with all his friends, which is actually also quite common. I'm sure you'd know it if it were the latter, though.

if u were going to have sex but were a condom how could u still get pregnant of a disease? (link)
Yes you can. Condoms can break.

14/f

Okay, i know you get a lot of " omg what should i do i like him but idk if he likes me" questions so sorry if this comes off like one of those.
okay, theres this kid, 2 grades about me- three years older. His best friend is my best friends brother. Me and him hang out at their house all the time and i think we've grown to be friends. now im the type of person who falls way too easily, but he's GORGEOUS and every girl likes him and i dont know hes just that type of guy who every girl wants to be with. and of course i think i like him but i dont wanna keep my hopes up. He always tells me to go to his games, and he gives me advice with guys and calls me pretty all the time. I dont wanna start liking him if were just friends. and i dont know what his point of view is on all this but like i dont wanna ask and make things akward and have him know i've been thinking about him. From what i told you, have any ideas?

Thanks (link)
Slowly work the idea of being more than friends into a conversation. Don't just come out and ask what he thinks, but innuendo at it. You'll never know until you try, and if he doesn't want to date, at least you asked before you became -too- serious about liking him. And, plus, guys like when women aren't afraid to ask for what they want.

I was just browsing around on the internet at school, and happened to come across your advice column! Oh yes, by the way this is Violet. Ok, here's my question:
There is this gentleman that I have liked since the beginning of the school year (8th grade). Yes, you probably know who he is- he is definatly a "popular" person. I think he likes me because he runs away from me when I call for him in the hallway. I believe it's his way of, I guess you could call it "flirting". His name begins with a J and his last name begins with an F. I was wondering if you could possibly talk to him about "going steady". I would enjoy dating him. If you do this favor for me- I'll just want to give you a great big hug! Thank you very much. (link)
What the fuck...?

remember me, honey? (link)
Yes. Unfortunately, I do.
Kill yourself yet?

I want to make a blogring for xanga but I dont know how to phrase it. Here is what I have planned:
I sing along to guitar parts in songs.
Does that make sense? Do you understand what I'm trying to say there? Is there an easier way to state it? Thanks everybody!! (link)
Try "guitar solos" instead of "guitar parts".

The average Xanga user would probably understand it better if it were put that way. Although Xanga rocks, most of the users have low intellect.

how do u know when your in love or what does love feel like? (link)
You know you are in love if you feel miserable and that you want to kill yourself and everyone around you.

i have a big lump of cheese and its kinda glowing and green, but its not exxpired yet, is it safe to eat? (link)
No.

I need a good, INEXPENSIVE (Below $40) Ceramic Hair straightener. Have any advice on where/what to get? (link)
Try getting Hot Tools Professional Flat Iron. As for where to get straightners, I'd recommend online, CVS, hair salons, et cetera...

whats a boner? cause i was grinding with this one guy and his friend was said that he had one cause he my date left for a second...just curios lol. (link)
An erect penis. Also known as a hard on.

i'm going to buy a straightener soo, so does anyone know a really good chi hair straightener? and where can i buy it?

thankss sooo much (link)
By far, the -best- one is Sedu Ionic Ceramic Professional Flat Iron (see the before and after pictures for yourself: http://www.folica.com/Sedu_Ionic_Cera_d1560.html) but it costs a lot of money. If you are looking for something a little (or a lot) cheaper, I'd recommend Hot Tools Professional Flat Iron.

14/f my friend's dad just died this morning. what can i do to show her that i care and that i'm here for her? i have no idea what to say to her because i've never experienced a real loss.. (link)
If she does not want to talk, give her space. Let her come to you when she is ready, then just listen and try to understand.
