I was wondering if you could give me some love advice? Its more of friendship advice. Anyway, heres the story...

Theres this boy. Wev been going out on and off for the past two years. He keeps breaking me heart, because i keep breaking up with him. It dosent make since because i always end it. But i dont end things because i dont like him, i do it because its not the right time. Wer starting high school next year and i dont wana live with heartache then. But he keeps winning me back.

So this time we had a thing for the past maybe three months. We havent stopped talking for a minuite that whole time. Then i ended it, he argued with me but i stood my ground. And ive been slowly getting over it and it hurts but its going good.

And i was kind of mentally prepared for him liking someone new, but not like THE DAY AFTER!

And now last night he told me he has to tell me somthing but it would be better in person (he was suposed 2 come over today with a bunch of friends) and he wouldnt tell me! He was driving me nuts. But then i heard from a friend of mine (that also likes him... thats another story) that a mutual friend of ours kissed him! Yesterday. I was like, in the same building. At my best friends house.

Its just so wierd because hes the one who said he wouldnt be conftorble doing things with another girl yet and he frustrates me so much because as much as i want him out of my life he still has this power to bother me but it hurts that hes over it so fast even though im not and he still wants to be best friends but i never want to talk to him again! I never should have gone out with him in the firstplace but its too late for that now but now i just want to hurt him! Like id love to just hit him. Im not going to do that even though it would make me feel better but i think it would only help for a little while.

Anyway, heres my question. How do you get over someone for good? So they can never come back into your life and hurt you again? So that you dont care at all anymore what they do, and you have the power to like other people? I know theres no fast or easy answer but any advice would be amazing! Thanks so much!

i think it is ironic that you asked be this question, because my boyfriend and i have been dating for two years and we are currently on a ''break''.. but thats enough about me.

it obviously upset you to hear that he kissed another girl because you are attached to him. he was probably your first kiss, since you've been with him since you were about 12 i think. so dont feel like you shouldnt be or you dont have the right to be upset, because you can be. you cant be mad at him though, even though he told you he wasnt ready to do that, he still has the right to do whatever he wants since you are not together.

i guess i dont understand what you mean by not the right time.. from everything you said i think that you are thinking you want a permanent end to you both. i realize you still want to be friends, which is fine, but that has to come later.

for right now, you need to be okay on your own, and not go runnign back to him everytime you miss him or everytime he says he misses you. when you realize that you are okay, and that you can be happy on your own, then you can be friends and see him without getting too upset.

when you hear that he hung out with another girl, or anything like that, your first instinct will always be to get upset or maybe even jealous(although you wont admit it:) ).. but you need to think it through or talk about it with friends and realize that you are done, and that there is no you and him any longer.

try not to dwell on how things used to be or about being happy with him, right now you need to find things to be happy about without him , and that will help you get over him. hang out with your girl friends, have a sleep over, go to the movies with boys, or the beach... etc.

just have fun, be sad when you need to, and talk it over with your friends

most importantly do not let anyone convince you that you need someone or that you feel something that you don't feel. listen to your heart and you will know what to do.. even if its not easy.

Q: I am a male teacher in a mixed school.
I just finished my first year of teaching. I really like my school, the students are respectful, and so are the staff, but I'm having some problems.

Since I am the youngest teacher in the school, a lot of the girls I teach flirt with me.
They would do anything to get my attention.
Ok, I do feel flattered, but there's one girl in particular that is over the line.
I teach her four times a week, and she's 15. She sits in the front row, she is constantly flirting with me, she wears very low cut tops, and she always comes to find me because she has ''problems'' with her homework.
This is starting to worry me, I have a girlfriend, and I've told her about this, but it doesn't bother her.
What can I say to this girl. Whenever she talks to me, she tries to make physical contact, and I don't want to be fired from my job because of this.
Please give me some advice. I know school is over for the summer, but I found out the other day that I will teach her again next school year, and I don't want these things to haunt me.

I have first hand experience with something like this. my coach is a young teacher at my school and it seems that all the girls act like the girl you described. the thing that makes it as bad as it is, is that he endorses and encourages it. he makes jokes and picks fun at the girls. i think that if he acted like he generally was not amused by talking to them, they would stop, or at least tone down what they are doing.

For you, i think that you should be less friendly to the girl. when she comes to you for extra help, find something else to do. tell her that you do not have time. try not to linger around your classroom alone if she choses to stop by often. when she tries to talk to you or single you out in a conversation, say something that will include the entire class to let her know that you are not focused on her.

unfortunately these are the only things you can do. if you say something to her directly, she will think that you are interested in her but you are ignoring your instinct because of the circumstance(you are a teacher, she is a student). so i would not recommend saying something to her directly.

you do not have to feel uncomfortable because of how a student acts. stand your ground. act as you would if you were talking to a male student. i realize you are not the problem her and i understand that it stinks that you have to change how you are acting because of a teenager, but unfortunately that is how the world works today.

Q: Okay, so in a few weeks I'm moving to my Dad's house, and he honestly doesn't cook.

So I'll need to be learning how to make basic dishes for some nights. I've never cooked in my life (I only took cooking class once, I cooked once and skipped for the rest of the semester) I can't even boil an egg.

What are some simple dishes to cook so I can practise between now and the time I move there? It doesn't have to be stuff made straight from home, it can be packaged stuff, I just don't want real basic stuff like 2 minute noodles or anything you add water to and microwave.

Bertolli is a brand of pasta. They sell freezer bags of already put together, restaurant quality pasta dishes. They are extremely simple to make. You open the bag, pour the contents in a skillet, and basically eat ten minutes later.

Also any homemade pasta dish can be relatively simple. You could boil water, throw in some pasta, wait til it is cooked, drain the water, then heat some sauce from a can and have pasta with sauce.

I can offer other instructions but I am not sure what types of food you like or are willing to make.

Q: Okay, so I just recently started getting my period. And, to put it simply, I hate it. For my first period, which lasted like three weeks, I used nothing but pads. I don't mind the pads, but I do go swimming regularly and I do horseback riding. The problem with pads and horseback riding is when you ride, the pads stick to your butt, which is really unpleasant. Anyways, I'm going to summer camp next week for two weeks, and I'm going to probably be starting my period by about Friday or so. At the camp, we go swimming AND horseback riding everyday. I can use tampons just fine, since I've already tried them out and they fit comfortably and all. The problem is, it feels like the string is burning/cutting the skin around my vag. It's kinda painful and I don't really want to deal with it all day if it's gonna be doing that, but since the camp is in the middle of July in the south, it gets REALLY hot, so I DO NOT want to miss out on swimming. Any advice?

you may not be entirely inserting the tampon into your vagina. be sure that the tampon is completely inside.. this could be the cause of your discomfort. before me, you were advised to put lotion on the string to prevent discomfort, i strongly disagree with this idea. we are talking about a very sensitive area, lotion may only irritate you more. it may also cause itching if it gets inside of you.

Q: Hi i'm a guy and me and my gf have decided that we are comfortable and ready for sex.

however I have been hearing a lot of theories of when a women can get pregnant.

1)I know that condoms are good,I am planning to use them,but just for extra precaution...

2)some ppl told me that the girl can least likely get pregnant during her period,,cause the blood comes out and stops the sperm from getting in.

A girl is least likely to get pregnant during or directly following her period, because she is not ovulating at the time. She is most likely to get pregnant 2 weeks after her period.

Q: I work at a phone center through my college. We call Alumni and stuff.

I got into a little debate with my co-worker tonight. He said that the title "Ms." was simply an abbreviation for "Miss." I was taught differently. I was taught that "Ms." is a title used for women who are older, single, or would prefer to be addressed as such. I always thought the title "Miss" was meant for younger, single women/girls. I have never heard of "Ms." and "Miss" meaning the same thing.

Can someone formally explain what they think the titles actually mean? Who's right?

I would agree with you. If an adult was writing a letter to a child for her eigth birthday, they would not write ''to Ms. Katie White'' on the birthday card, they would write ''to Miss Katie White''. In the same way if a parent was writing a letter to Katie's teacher who happened to be a single adult,the parent would not write''Miss Stone'' on the envelope, the parent would write ''Ms. Stone''
The Ms. is more proper and therefore used when speaking politely to older individuals.

So, I was invited to a birthday party last Monday that was set to happen Saturday. I told the girl at school, Gina, that I would be there. I know Gina through Key Club. She's a sophomore, I'm a junior, and I don't really consider us friends and I only see her at club meetings. Anyway, when I woke up Saturday morning I had a pretty bad sore throat and I didn't really feel up to going to her party, so I called about three or four hours before and told her. It probably sounded totally bogus, but it was true that I was and still am sick.

Today at school, three days after her party, she came up to me with her friend while I was walking with mine. I thought she was going to ask if I was feeling better but instead she said, "Hey, do you have my gift? Cause my birthday is tomorrow." I just said, "Not with me" because I was in shock that she would ask for a gift from someone she wasn't really friends with and someone that was unable to go to her party.

Does anyone else find this rude and insulting? What should I do the next time I see her? My plan is just to say my mom donated it after I couldn't attend the party: will that work?

Honestly i would not get her anything. It was rude of her to ask you for a gift and completely out of line. It makes me think that that was the reason she invited you in the first place, for her own benefit. You two are not really friends in the first place, and even a friend would not ask such a question. If you asks for it again I would tell the truth and not get her anything.

Q: Ok so i always ask questions about things that are brought to my attention. So here's another one. If you are waiting for marriage to have sex is it wrong to masterbate (sp?)

If you are waiting until after you are married because you are part of a religious belief that you should not participate in sexual acts until you are married, masturbation is a sin.

Q: for a while now I have been very antisocial when im in groups. Ill have a really good conversation about the same thing with a bunch of people. But i cant carry on a conversation very well. Im silent lately and i dont know why. When i do say things i sound like an idiot or ill say something stupid. I can think something in my head but it'll come out completely wrong and dumb. Why does this happen and how do i stop it and improve my social skills with anyone.Im not comfortable around people anymore I want to be though

not to alarm you but you may be depressed. why do you think that the things that you say are dumb? is someone telling you that they are? you need to be more selfconfident. maybe find something that you and a good friend enjoy and do that together. then, you can carry on different conversations while you are with that person. you should be focusing on positive things about yourself. if this goes on, you may want to talk to an adult or a docter. i do think that you just need to start talking more and more no matter how silly you feel. you will become comfortable with being more social by practicing. try speaking up in class and participating in group discussions. this is a very good way to start learning new social and conversational skills. i hope this helps.

Q: My teacher is very annoying. One day, as soon as i came into the classroom, my teacher gave us cards and then she told us to go to the back of the room. If the card had a gold star, we would go into the front row. Anything without a star on it had to sit in the back. She said that the back row would get lower grades on their tests and they couldnt run (or vote ) for class presdient. So i got very mad. What should i do?

if you have to sit in the back are you the next row behind the gold stars, or all the way in the back of the room? if you are just behind them there is really nothing you can do, she just likes to feel in control because she is probably insecure about herself. but if you are really separated to the point where everyone without a star must be rows behind... than you have grounds to go to your headmaster, guidance counsiler, or principal about the matter. seriously. this is a type of discrimination.

i would kind of show him that its okay. like while you are kissing. touch his back and shoulders, he might get the hint. or if not, take his hands and put them on your stomach or lower back.

Also tips to putting them in? No websites please, they really don't help. I've only tried putting one in once and it hurt like hell.

when i first started using tampons i tried many times. i found it easy to put in first by using slim tampons. they have a very low absobency, but they are small enough that you wont hurt yourself by putting it in the wrong way. once i got comfortable with those, and using the aplicators, i started to use higher absorbencies. i would recommened tampax pearl over any other brand. after that i would also recommend playtex sport.

application: first either be sitting on the toilet seat or you can be standing up with your leg proped up on somthing, so that your legs are open. then hold the tampon aplicator with your middlefinger and your thumb.. and have your index finger.. or pointer finger.. on the bottom of the applicator.(the skinnier part.) insert the applicator until your fingers are touching your body. then..with your index finger push the bottom of the applicator so that the tampon enters you. then, simply pull the plastic or cardboard applicator with your middle finger and thumb.

remember to chage your tampon regularly.

honestly i think that alot of girls are like that. especially with really close friends. there is nothing wrong with it, you are just confortable with who you are and your sexuality. there is nothing wrong with expressing that, and also that definitely does not make you anything other than straight, because you arent having any deep feelings for these girls.

i would not consider it in that category at all. it is not as if you are eating semen. yes, you would digest it, but a product from another human is not considered in that sense. When you are making out with someone, saliva is exchanged, and that is another human byproduct, you can consider this in the same way.

you may have a yeast infection. your boyfriends fingers may not have been extremely clean before he fingered you. this could cause definite irritation. you may need to buy a treatment at cvs, or brooks, or a similar store to heal it. yeast infections are normal. almost every girl will eventually get them. if the problem persists after treating it, or it worsens you should definitely see a doctor or school nurse.

it all depends on how you personally feel. you can shave till the very top of your leg if you wanted to. personally i do but its all on what you wanna do.. if you dont have to then dont.
