Go Copenhagen :D Cux wrote Wednesday June 18 2008, 5:37 pm: Hmmm... Alin75 wrote Thursday June 19 2008, 2:19 am: Hey... I didnt write the article :D Cux wrote Saturday June 21 2008, 2:07 pm: I'm assuming you either live in Copenhagen, you're near Copenhagen, or you've visited many times...
=] Alin75 wrote Saturday June 21 2008, 3:09 pm: Oh yeah... I live in Copenhagen. Lived here most of my life. You may have noticed I also posted another link in my forum about Denmark being the happiest place on earth :)
I figured it would be nice to give us some good publicity after all the negative stuff with the Mohammed cartoons...
I wonder what criteria they use for these things though... I know we used to have an alarmingly high suicide rate at one point... hmmm oh well. Cux wrote Sunday June 22 2008, 9:36 pm: Haha. Maybe that's not a factor?
Personally I think the best city in the world [well, at least my favorite] is Knoxville, Tennessee, USA.
That's probably because I've had so many great times down there =] Alin75 wrote Monday June 23 2008, 3:56 am: Lol, I never denied that living in Denmark was the reason I posted the article on this forum...
I do agree though, calling something the "best" is very subjective. In the end it will vary a lot from person to person.
Cux wrote Monday June 23 2008, 9:36 am: Yeah.
I think I've told you this before, but I'm met Denmarkians [is that the word for them?] and they were so clueless, but they barely spoke English and they were in America, so I can't really blame them.
Actually- I met them in Knoxville =]. Like I said: great city ;] Alin75 wrote Monday June 23 2008, 6:49 pm: Yes I do remember you mentioned meeting some a while back.
Generally Danes (aka Denmarkians :D) are really good at English... which is giving me deja vu cause I think I said that last time as well... totally Twilight Zone this conversation lol.
Oh well, let me relish in the notion that I live in the best place on earth for a few more days... then I can post a formal apology :D Cux wrote Monday June 23 2008, 8:21 pm: Haha alright Alin =] Matt wrote Monday July 28 2008, 3:27 am: Pardon me for bringing back something well over a month old, but...
Wouldn't an alarmingly high suicide rate help out with being the happiest place on Earth? That way, if you were even remotely unhappy, you wouldn't exist, so those that are depressed or unhappy would have succumbed to death and not had their distraughtness leaked into the overall happiness of the country.
Sorry, it's late. Now is when I spew my most idiotic statements. Alin75 wrote Monday July 28 2008, 3:52 am: Haha yes... its a very efficient way to keep the happiness levels up.
Thing is though, it turns out my information was out of date... seems that my facts are still in the 90s. Time just flies too darned quickly. Anyway, we apparently are not amongst the top suicide nations anymore. So looks like that darned happiness has spread like a disease :D Alin75 wrote Wednesday July 30 2008, 5:29 am: Well just to balance out all the happy stuff... Copenhangen just clocked in as the world's 7th most expensive city. To put it into context, no American cities made it to the top 15, and we beat out places like Singapore, Geneva, Paris, etc.
